its not AMD taking a long time. Its game devs. AMD make FSR open source so anyone can use it. I have been using a mod to use FSR3 and Frame gen for my laptop and my 2080. Ill update the game on my 7900xtx build to see the fps boost
Yeah I dont know why he said why it took AMD so long to implement it. It's the developer of TLOU.
Or maybe its just that FSR 3 is still not finished and very inconsistent
@@JustThePR it’s not naughty dog it’s the studio that done the pc port! It’s also not just copy and pasting the code 💀 you people think these things are so easy 😭 don’t complain when you know NOTHING about game development
Wait is this a different 4090? Its OC is way better than the old one
I mentioned that in the video.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamerfeel like u can do 1.1v 3100mhz
@@WilliamLeGod Not quite. His sample is about 15 mhz better than mine at 1.07V. I still cap out at 3060 mhz at 1.1V
@@WilliamLeGod Bro said Dragons Dogma 2 looks like a PS3 game lmao
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer Yo Buck will you be showing Dragons Dogma 2 gameplay on Friday?
This game looks so good I’m still disappointed they didn’t include the multiplayer as I played mp so much on ps3 and ps4 really fun
Yea my RTX 4090 broke too, gave me blue screen of death while playing high demanding games like world war z or back for blood. I sent it to the manufacturer and they emailed me saying after texting the gpu it’s not up to standards. So they sent me a brand new RTX 4090. So I’m happy 😊, entire process took about 5 days. Sent it off on Monday, got it back by Friday.
@EG-O Similar thing happened to me but, I could only properly get my system to work if I was in Safe mode. I reinstalled Windows and that made no difference as in Non safe mode I kept on getting screen flickering. Overclockers at the time didn't have my specific card in stock and, I asked to have a different model from a another third party as well as to refund the difference between the Cards but, they said they don't do that. Now, I have to wait for my refund before I'm able to purchase another RTX 4090.
@@Stephan5916 Dang thats very true, It first first happened when my PC wouldn't boot like the very day I was building it. I would do everything and still was not able to installed windows. After doing safemode I was able to install everything and got to the desktop. Several weeks past and then i decided to start gaming my PC would crash, BSOD or application would just crash out right and went to the desktop. After games like Back 4 blood cashes the screen would start flickering and become pixilated. Thats when i noticed it was a GPU problem. So i took out my RTX 4090 and used the onboard AMD graphics to see if i would still get these crashes and nope PC ran fine. So that helped me narrowed it down to the RTX 4090 being bad. But Zotac was very helpful they had me sent it to them in California and they told me this GPU was bad and that they will give me a brand new one.
Do you see artifacts during quick camera movements? (they look like low resolution blocks all over the place) Or are they generated by the capture card?
Yes, that’s in-game. FSR 3 image quality is terrible compared to DLSS.
Finally got your 4090 back just in time to benchmark horizon forbidden west on your new intel rig.
Is that on the latest 1.13 patch ? The last of us part 1 , Kinda curious how much they ironed out in terms of performance and issue fixes then patched. Also what is the software you are using ? Please.
frame generation is broken in this.
run native res with frame gen, it feels choppy and not smooth at all.
It's the same with avatar frontiers of pandora too.
It works perfectly fine on both my systems. As I said in the video it feels silky smooth. I don't know why you are saying it's choppy or broken when the Frametime graph is a straight line. Did you even watch the video? Stop spreading false information. AFOP is fine too.
@Bang4BuckPCGamer did you try what I said, I guess not.
Unless you've tried it, please stop accusing me of spreading misinformation.
I assure you I'm not.
@@Loky_8 You're right. When you're on 4K 240Hz you'll truly see that FSR 3 is weird (with a higher refresh monitor where you can actually tell the smoothness difference between the DLSS 3 Mod and this FSR 3). The picture gets destroyed when you move the mouse around, it's as if you're using some smearing effect like motion blur. Not to mention, FSR is flickering all the time, everywhere. You can see it in B4B's video even. I've tried DLSS 3 Pure Dark's mod and that one is truly accurate FPS feel (smoothness), whereas the FSR 3 version is fake and ugly. The only difference is that FSR 3 runs about 20 FPS faster than PureDark's mod, but considering how much worse it is, it explains why it runs better. It's because the impementation is bad.
Examples such as 3:23 on the ladder (the wall) or 13:52 bushes etc or 21:52 net next to him. That flickering is everywhere with FSR 3, no need for specific examples anyway. This flickering is reduced by around 90% on DLSS, mostly some bushes in the distance, and like I said - the DLSS 3 mod is proper smooth - the FPS smoothness colerates with the displayed FPS, whereas on FSR 3 it doesn't. Vsync on / off makes no difference (which was needed in the first impementation of FSR 3 in the other games) and it still isn't as smooth as DLSS 3.
@@mcgmgc exactly my experience too.
people are fooled by looking at the fps and frame time metrics.
The reason it feels smooth is because his base frame rate is already quite high, but as soon as you run native res at around 70 - 80 fps then enable frame gen it feels choppy and has the smearing like effect as you mentioned.
Other people have noticed it to from what I've seen on twitter.
@@Loky_8 Dude I feel the same way. I have a 4090, and I play on a 175hz QD OLED. I am currently playing with FSR3 all maxed at getting a locked 175 fps but it feels very, very choppy to me. I'm not good with PCs (hardware/software... A friend built my rig for me) I tried looking at frame graphs and "render latency" numbers and the numbers are low (0.1-10ms render latency, which I assume is low) and the frame rate never dropped below |175fps, but no way in HELL is this a smooth experience. It feels like its closer to 30 fps than it is to 175 fps (no joke - I would guess 50-80fps somewhere if I didn't have the number presented to me)
Эмм, а че у меня на 4090 в 4К всего 90-100 фпс с включенным длсс?
Are you gonna test Dragon's Dogma 2? I'm really curious how it'll run on the 4090 and 14900KS as it's extremely CPU demanding.
Especially at 4k in towns with RT enabled.
I will buy that game next week, but I just bought Horizon forbidden West. I wish they didn't release both games at the same time.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer Fair enough. Still looking forward to your DD2 coverage though! :D But I'll check out your Horizon videos as well. Appreciate your uploads they really help me gauging performance on my 4090 and 13900k system as well!
How many hours before you see a town worth benchmarking? I am 3 hours in and my FPS hasnt dropped below 70 yet, with the highest highs hitting my cap of 120. 4K all Max RT.
Crazy you using 155 Watts at only 180FPS .. I got everything maxed out as you, but my native res is 3440X1440 and i'm using FSR 3 with Quality and frame gen settings. I'm hitting 23 watts when I hit 220 FPS when im at 180 FPS i'm hitting 19-20 watts... Intel needs a redesign it's just not worth it for the few extra frames.
You bought a 14900ks lol .. wow okay cool
I love this game!
Did you not notice any input lag / latency? I have a 4090 + R7 7800X3D and to me FSR 3 feels horrible. I love DLSS FG and use it in every game that supports it, but something feels awful with this. Not sure if there is something wrong my settings, but I played at 175 fps and it felt more like 75 fps (if not less!). I tried capping to 120fps and it felt very laggy (like 50 fps or so). Something feels very, very wrong for me and yet you say it feels smooth... (this is the first time I have used FSR 3 FG)
Well I was playing with a control pad, and there where no stutters or frame spikes, so how could I say it was anything but smooth.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer hm ok. I was playing m/kb. I know controllers are way more forgiving when it comes to framerates. I'll try hooking it up to my CX OLED (4K/120) and see how that feels with a PS5/Xbox controller. but the M/KB experience on a high refresh rate monitor was abysmal. I hope its just me that hasn't set my settings correctly.
Yup - same here with similar specs. Feels awful complared to the DLSS3 mod.
Glad you got you're 4090 back! Will you do a comparison video with the 14900ks vs 13900k, and 4090?
Got the 13900k OC-d to 5.9ghz, but planning on upgrading to the 14900ks, or I might just wait for 15th gen, but want to see the performance gain from the 13900k to the 14900ks. Thanks!
Warranty on GPUs is a hit or miss really. Buy new, yeah is fine, but depends on defect, if the 4090 melts, no warranty, user error 😆😆🤣🤣
"They really went the extra mile to optimize for PC". Yeah shame the same couldn't have been said about the game at launch. Freaking woof that was.
Looking forward to seeing if your rig can maintain 4K 60FPS in Dragon Dogma 2, in towns.
I will get that game later this month. I really wish Horizon Forbidden West and Dragons Dogma 2 didn't basically release at the same time.
Well I am not bang but I have same GPU. all Max 4K native my fps is 40-60. With DLSS2-Q my FPS is in the 70-120 fps range. Most in the 80-95 range, lowest I have seen is 73 (I think). Though I am only a few hours into thr game. Overall its not too bad actually, especially considering its a controller-based game. Nonetheless, I cannot wait for a frame gen mod, hopefully bring my FPS to 100-120+ locked.
It runs way smoother on the 7000 series GPUs, which should be a given.
3015mhz at 1.07v that’s very good for 4090
Yeah this card is a better sample than my last.
wondering could your share your overlay been trying to get mine like this lol
Rendered Resolution 2k lol 2560x1440
@@jorgemoutinho7159 And? This card can play this game maxed out at Native 4K no problem.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer yes i now, but not 4k 200fps

6ghz out of the Box is crazy!
FSR just super sucks compare to DLSS
You can't even tell the difference at 4K Quality.

Too much sharpening for my taste. Other than that, pretty good.

are you using an apex board with the ks? 8400 is pretty damn good
Yes
Crazy high FPS man for 4K. Absolute beast system. Imagine 5090 :0
I look forward to finding out
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer Not long to wait now boy. Q3-4 2024
aye, bro got his beast back!
what is performance without fsr3?
In comparison on my video I was getting 132FPS without amd fsr3 at 9:38 on his he was getting 179FPS. So I can say that’s a big improvement. I’ll have to upload a video and test out FSR myself
thanks. @@EG-O
Happy Gaming Bang!
Thanks, you too
Bro is amd better for emulators or intel?
Intel. Especially newer ones. Yuzu ~RIP~ & RPCS3.
Raptor Lake 13900K or 14900K are currently the best. That could all change with Zen 5 though.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer yeah i thought so too bro. But amd takes less power and heat. is amd with 12 cores and 16-24 threads with 3d cache good for rpcs3? with rtx 4070ti?
