Please note that on row 5 there will be a double yarn over if you have more than one repeat.
And when you get to the double yarn over on row 6, you have to purl, and then, without dropping the stitch, you have to knit into the same stitch. Then you can drop the large yarn over.
This is the only way to keep those 2 stitches created by the double yarn over. Otherwise, you’d end up with 1 stitch less, and that would change the pattern.

Lovely scarf & tutorial. On R5, you end the repeat with yarn over. You begin the repeat pattern with yarn over, so there are two yarn overs in a row then? Thanks

Hi! I know this is a year late, but I’m just now trying to learn this myself, and I think I’ve learned how to fix it in the purl side. On the first stitch of the yarn over instead of purling you knit into it, and then continue purling! I hope that helps!

R5 This row has two consecutive yo? How am I going to stich them on R6. Is there a mistake with the instructions?

How come your tutorial first line, is not the same that on your website. What’s the correct way for row #1. Tnx

Hi Tali, thanks for pointing that out! I made a mistake when typing the 1º row on my website. I have corrected it and now you can either follow the video or the written pattern. Happy knitting!

Row 5, First stitch is YO and last stitch is YO, the first stich of the reapeat is YO and so on when you cast on multiple of 7 stiches. Does this mean you have two consecutive YOs (end & start of reapeat stitches)?

Yes, Row 5 is definitely a problem area! When I got to the end of the row there were 3 fewer stitches than what I had cast on! Which then made row 7 impossible to do according to the instructions. I can't figure out where the 3 stitches disappeared to!
