    Beautiful stitch. How do you make sure that the next row is in the right position above the previous row to create the right configuration?

      By casting on the correct number of stitches to ensure it aligns. This is how most of the easy, 1-2 row stitch patterns work. Knitters can also learn to "read" their knitting to check their work.
