@@CarGurusUK Your review was the most honest and impartial I've seen on this car. Most reviews talk about track days when 99% of us will never take our car to a track! Keep up the good work 👏
Nice! I have just the m440i coupe and the g80 M3 competition. Wish i had waited longer for the Gran Coupe as I think it just looks better and more convenient to use.
I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I really like the front grill area, to me it just looks really good and seems to fit with the rest of the cars design
Great review Rebecca! No matter how much some people hate the front end the fact of the matter is BMW sales are breaking all previous records. Now they have gone past Mercedes and Audi in all major markets. I think they know what they are doimg. They must be believing that most people critcising their design will either come along in future or aren't from their target market. I for one love the front end. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so they say. For me normal and conventional is boring. In m440i gc version it ticks all the boxes.
Mine Is Due End of November, Again Same Colour, Gone for Sport Pro Package Which Includes 19” Wheels which Personally I feel look the best of all! Red Callipers Rather than Blue, Love the Summer but Roll on Winter!
A real drivers car well reviewed Rebeca. Roomy, sleek and has plenty of power, space and tech. I think you're correct that the looks could well be a polarising factor
I just bought 430i gran coupe in gray colour its front grille has chrome lining. Least to say that I do like the front end because it makes your car look quite newer sort of distinguishing it from older models and 3 series. I used to like cars with wood trimming but this bmw has aluminium trim with cognac color seats, and I must say I absolutely love the interior though the clusters of different buttons takes some getting used to.
I had this car for a day. It felt heavier than my 2020 440i. High point was the engine and transmission. I loved the seats too. My knee was hitting the center console and I'm not sure why it's wider. Deal-breaker on the outside styling. No, it's not growing on me. If someone says that, it's wrong to begin with.
I went and had a look at 1 and my knee was constantly hitting the centre console, so I decided not to. I don't know why the centre console has to be so wide?
Great job on the review. I have an M440i on order in Brooklyn Grey well equipped. I like the front end. Saw one in person and it put my concerns to rest. Should be here late February
Love your reviews as always Rebecca, however If you think £53k is “manageable” then you have lost a little bit of touch with reality. The majority of brits cannot afford a £53k car.
But then she’s obviously talking to people who can afford and are in the market for that car and not the majority as the gran coupe was designed for people who want a bit more than majority.
That front end would be transformed if they got rid of the 'droop' at the top of the grille with the BMW badge on it and made it straight across. The badge could go on the front of the bonnet. Otherwise a great car with an engine sound to shame any EV at any price!
I have a 420!, it has all the grunt I need, looks stunning in grey and gets a lot of positive comments from admirers. The front end is only controversial because the journo’s keep going on about and it’s their job to find something negative …. Versus all the qualities that make this an excellent car.
if you keep your fingers on the down flappy minus it will not go to the next gear down w.h.y. but will go to a much lower gear giving an even bigger launch!
Thanks for everything you have posted in 2021. I look forward to seeing what's coming in 2022. In the meantime have a great, restful, Christmas and a happy new year.
*THANK YOU* for *NOT* comparing it an Audi A4, Mercedes C Class, or some other sedan that is *NOT* a hatchback. Time and time again the Audi A5 series and BMW 4 series get compared to cars that literally are not comparable. It’s apples to oranges when you start doing that.
Hmmm happy to stick with my 18 plate 428i msport 2 door coupe for the time being I’m not sold on that front grill and the rear looks like Nissan/Toyota hatchback, how can 5 door hatchback be a coupe Audi have similar controversial front grills .
Every year I wonder why everyone hates the grills. Is it s trend or sth? The front end of that car is brashly aggressive, which is want I assume someone buying a BMW would want
Lovely car. Fabulous engine, interior quality and handling. Still don't like the front end design though, or the awful rearward visibility. Interestingly, the latter puts me off buying one more than the former..oh plus not wanting to take the depreciation hit on a brand new car. BMW has already had much too much of my money! Maybe in a couple of years.. ?
The front end is really naff. Extremely cheesy. It's a shame because the overall design of the Gran Coupe is stylish and classy. I prefer the older versions with a more subtle front end.
I don't see anything wrong with the front-end. People who criticize normally are not able to afford anyways. So, their opinion are useless or not wanted.
I’m my experience having owned a 4 series from new for the last 4 years is that the MPG figures supplied by BMW are not real world. Did you test them yourselves?
If you close your eyes, you can easily imagine Rebecca playing Emma Peel zipping around the countryside. Given the cost of fuel on your side of the pond, one needs a hefty income to afford to insure and operate this vehicle. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Rebecca and her twins.😘🥳😇
Lovely looking, well made car, but someone tell me where one can utilise the high performance of this top end model without falling foul of the law, or risking accidents? And at £63,000, I can’t imagine this variant will sell in great volumes. In the real world of driving, the lower spec models make a heap more sense and who can fault BMW for build quality?
Best car @BMW makes is the 6 series GT, but they’ve stopped selling it in the UK & Ireland since it’s update But weirdly they sell it in other RHD markets, why not atleast have the option to order one D’oh !!!
I've absolutely given up on BMW. The continued doubling-down on the front-end styling and their utter lack of concern for reliability are deal-killers. Forever. Their marketing people run the organization for far too long and they've largely lost their distinctiveness. There are SO many other great options today that you simply don't have to worry at all about, and are much better looking.
One of the best *paid* advertisements I've ever seen (without it looking like one). For the record: the 4-series Gran-Coupe is my favourite automobile of all-time. Was just cringe to watch her harp on the pluses whilst undermining some serious minuses. Not liked, and not subscribed (due to her being paid for this).
I have ordered the 430i version in exactly the same colour and spec. Should be ready mid January!
Hope you enjoy it! Let us know what you think of it.

I have a 2020 430i Msport f36 and I would like to change it for one like this, it really is a very practical vehicle and it looks pretty good
Is that brooklyn grey? Or Skyscraper grey?
I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I really like the front grill area, to me it just looks really good and seems to fit with the rest of the cars design
I like the nose on a 4 series but I don’t really think it suits the 3 series.
Love the front end I don’t know what all the fuss is about, I have a feeling that people say they don’t like it to go along with the crowd
The front end is sick for real bro
I'm a big fan of the front end!
Exactly what I said! Love the new grill.
It is wholesome to see that Rebecca can’t hide her enthusiasm for the 440! 😁
Car review with a pinch of passion!
Love Rebecca’s car reviews…so calm and peaceful
It makes a welcome change from all the dreary crossover/suvs every manufacturer is churning out
Really?
I totally agree. This car really stands out. Everything kinda looks the same these days.
I would take this great car anytime rather than a boring EV or SUV.
Except there's an EV version of this exact model and it's everything but boring
Great review Rebecca!

It’s such a wholesome video. Calm and relaxed. All others RUclipsrs are annoyingly loud and hyped for no reason
Picked up a 420i msport, same colour with a ton of extras. Took it out on its longest drive a few days ago. Just glides along.

This car is gorgeous. It has more style than the coupe while also being more practical.
Rebecca should have a Podcast as well, her voice is calm and sweet
Bought this car in black last week. Stunning vehicle in every way.
I have a 23’ 430xi gran coupe in dravit grey. It’s my first bmw and I am in love with her!! My next car would be either a m3 or m4.

Every time I see one of these on the road I'm like danggggg that thang look good! It's a very eye-catching car.
Speaks volumes that you chose the previous model. Love the front end, don’t like that primer body colour though.
I smiled when I saw Rebecca and the BMW side by side

Congratulations in advance.
It's such a shame you can't get a reasonably priced straight 6 any more.
m240i is reasonably priced.
Buy the pervious gen, still an amazing car and good deals to be had.

Ridiculous comment

Exactly what I was thinking. Which normal person can afford that! Dripping with useless tech, horrible styling. Love the engine note though!!
@@rod-bits-and-pieces "useless tech" ? First time I've seen anyone say that about this car, ever. Unpopular opinion at best
Very nice review!👏👏
Very well presented and very “low” volume.. relaxing
Well done !

Top car, anything new BMW get's hammered and then when the new model comes out they miss the previous one. Maybe it's the price they don't like?
I have a 2022 m440i grand coupe I live it and the front end design
I have a 420!, it has all the grunt I need, looks stunning in grey and gets a lot of positive comments from admirers. The front end is only controversial because the journo’s keep going on about and it’s their job to find something negative …. Versus all the qualities that make this an excellent car.
Nicely edited video without the excessive blabber - enjoyed that. I like the Bugs Bunny face 😀
Great review and great car, thank you Rebecca
Glad you liked it!

Rebecca's joy is palpable 😊
What an absolutely splendid and detailed review! Happy holidays and New Year to you and your beloved! Ciao for now!
Many thanks! Happy holidays to you as well.
You have the same thumbnail in your 2020 BMW 1 series review you did 2 years ago 😄
We do yes as we are updating our presenter image, but as it is Christmas, I have changed it for something new on the BMW 1 review. Enjoy
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. I particularly like the Interior Design
Glad you enjoyed it!

Same to you! We have some pretty big things we hope to make next year.
What’s going on with the rear bumper? Why did BMW just follow the coupe version rear bumper design?
I thought the 4 series was supposed to be 2 door in the modern bmw range?
This is a new addition to the 4 series range.
Not since 2014...
Do you have to pay extra for indicators?
Everything is acceptable, except the grille
So much wrong. Standard wheels are 19", not 18. Technology pack does not include ACC - that's Technology Plus. No explanation about the MEHV element.
Hmmm happy to stick with my 18 plate 428i msport 2 door coupe for the time being I’m not sold on that front grill and the rear looks like Nissan/Toyota hatchback, how can 5 door hatchback be a coupe Audi have similar controversial front grills .
The front end is what makes the car beautiful. I didn’t realize people thought it was ugly
then you are lost
Should’ve gone to Specsavers!
Absolutely love your review Rebecca
4 Series Gran Coupe or the new LCI 3 Series?
Every year I wonder why everyone hates the grills. Is it s trend or sth? The front end of that car is brashly aggressive, which is want I assume someone buying a BMW would want
Arrrrrr! The grill.
Bmw top car
It looks really nice and pleasant is it very fast and comfortable I bet it is.
This lady is obviously having a fling with BMW, I just hope the Bavarian's wife doesn't find out about it.
Great car review
Thank you!
Even Rebecca cant make this car looks good!
I love it, I am ordering one in the Dravit grey
I come here to learn about cars and keep up with the latest fashion.
i come here for rebecca!
Hey Rebecca - Excellent review, as ever.
Would you not consider Mercedez-Benz' CLS as a competitor to the 4-Series?
Coupe is a much better looking car, but get the practicality bit.
Lovely car. Fabulous engine, interior quality and handling. Still don't like the front end design though, or the awful rearward visibility. Interestingly, the latter puts me off buying one more than the former..oh plus not wanting to take the depreciation hit on a brand new car. BMW has already had much too much of my money! How much this one cost?
The model reviewed is £63,000, it is the top of the range with £10,000 of optional extras.
Very nice car but think I will stick with my 730i e65
The front end is really naff. Extremely cheesy. It's a shame because the overall design of the Gran Coupe is stylish and classy. I prefer the older versions with a more subtle front end.
sadly it doesnt available in every country
Fit the ///M3 grill on it and am good 👍🏾
She's ace! Love her voice too....oh the car? It's alright I guess.
I don't see anything wrong with the front-end. People who criticize normally are not able to afford anyways. So, their opinion are useless or not wanted.
Superb cool❗️
its nice bmw but the car doesn t have enough back are cramped for tall people small; back seats
Nice car, but nicer boots. I need to buy them off you lol.
I definitely don't like the nose but it must be said, it looks the least offensive on this grand coupe version.
I’m my experience having owned a 4 series from new for the last 4 years is that the MPG figures supplied by BMW are not real world. Did you test them yourselves?
It's a hatchback, not a coupé. 4/5 door cars are NOT coupés. I'll stick with my ageing 630i for now. Oh, and that front end 🤢
Nice car

It will become a classic, because no other car has a front end like this
More manageable £53k without some of the “toys” cough cough splutter, does it include indicators that work ??
Rebbeca, I ❤️u
Liked the balanced review. Think by next summer the nose will be accepted and we'll all want the bugs bunny teeth with flared nostrils.
Thank you for your comments. That front end does divide people!
leave it for Jean Grey
With that fugly nose ? Nope, i would choose the A5 or C coupe. (in 2d spec of course)

Audi A5 all the time.

Rebecca 😍
Me gusta bmw. Wendy
Shame about the grille though.

Have BMW’s pathetic rear headrests been properly tested?
That grey is repulsive.
That is not a looker - the car I mean 😅
Hope in Allah for being rich..
I much prefer an elephant's nose
Popping a toothbrush moustache on a German car is a bit much - aherm!
