Anytime I get frustrated or impatient about my hair length, I come back to these videos and remind myself that even Whitney had hair this short at one point & if she could keep going then so can I lol

I'm pretty much around this length..and it's weird how my hair texture has changed since cutting out first vaseline (yuck..), and silicones and then pretty much anything that isn't natural. 2 years ago my hair was super coarse, dry and I usually wore it in an afro or had it shaved! It's hard to believe I use to shampoo almost everyday and i didn't understand what conditioner was for. I wish more people knew about hair care so the stigma against black hair being "unruly" would cease to exist. It's refreshing seeing you here and then now with all of that hair. At the moment my hair is long enough to put in a bun- about collarbone length and I'm so happy I binge watched your videos last summer and educated myself! Love x

yeah, THIS vid is where i am NOW. i've had to cut my ends twice since my hair grew back after chemo. now it's been two yrs and you'd never know it. but no biggie. i'm jus now developing a real system that i think i can afford and stick too. i am thankful to have found your vids (and few others)

I love this video, it's realistic and comparable to my own hair growth. There are some hair growth videos out there that don't look too legit.

I'm so happy to see someone w/hair like me because my other natural friend call my hair nappy and was surprise at how soft it is, t's funny how people have been brain washed if our hair isn't the loser curls that we are nappy I love my curls more and more each day and learning more and more how to take care of it I use your hair care videos& have had significant growth

I'm watching these videos and realizing how much patience it really requires to grow hair (relaxed or not relaxed). My relaxed hair was almost BSL and I'm missing it (the length only) and thinking that my hair just isn't growing. I keep thinking when am I going to be your current length?! But I know I just have to wait and not give up!

i would def consider a long term twists or braids. Whitney did mini twists for a long time and i tried them and they've really helped me
18 months and 9 inches of growth :-) I'm happy with my progress.

@OSBTV1 I'd recommend taking Biotin vitamins, using coconut oil, and spraying your hair every day with distilled water before putting in the coconut oil. Also, you must cut off the split ends. You should trim every 6-8 months or it will keep getting worse. Also, do not use any heat whatsoever on your hair.

Hey! I know this is old, but have you tried adding a little oil to your hair before you wash it? It will keep your hair from drying out in the washing process. Try a sulfate free shampoo when you do this. It will get your scalp clean while leaving a nice layer of oil/moisture on the length of your hair

i find your hair journey really inspirational. As of next week thurs (hair appt.) i start my transition from relaxed to natural. I was wondering if you could give me some tips on how to get my hair (4a/b) as healthy as yours. I went out and bought ylang ylang , lavender and rosemary essential oils...now what do i do lol

I wish there was a "love" button. Just did my "big chop". My hair, when permed, was no where near as long as yours used to be, so I doubt I'll reach where you are now with your natural hair. I just want to be natural and beautiful. And if I reach this, well, all the better for me :)
I am loving your videos! I have been trying to watch all of them! I am growing out my hair, and I have noticed a common thread in most of the styles. I love that your video as well as others, have hair that is shorter in the front and longer in the back. I love the layered look. My question is this......when I go to the hair salon and ask for a cut, what am I asking for? So that it will grow in this type of style. Currently, I have a "stacked bob" cut. Where it's longer in the front and shorter in the back. But it only looks nice when it's pressed out. However, I don't ever where it pressed out, and it just looks weird. Please advise. Thank you ;-)
I big chopped 3 times now lol. My hair grows on the faster side of normal. I cannot stand having so much hair. I love being a baldy but I come back to these vids when I let my hair grow wild. My hair takes about 9 months to get to a tolerable length at my collar bone after that I have to start doing it again so it's chop chop. I did let it grow to armpit length once it took about a year and a half. Thank for being here when I let it grow.

@missSatisfied.. Thanks. I bought the oils and shea butter to mix up right after I posted this. You're right, it's mada a dramatic difference. I also tried the mud wash she mentioned. It's good too.
I haven't been taking care of my hair lately and it's been stuck at this length for a while smh

MiamiPush2theLimit No, no heat. I try to stay away from that. That's where my split ends came from. I did a blow out and then flat ironed and a couple days later my ends were split about 2 inches. It was nuts. It's gotten much better since though. But, I know now that my hair absolutely hates heat.
