The god of war announcing the Ragnarok and everyone calling Kratos general, that's pure art.
Everybody gangsta till the greek god of war who actually starts war and chaos becomes the nordic god of war
He certainly lives up to his title
That's respect for you
I got goosebumps on my bunions
Just wish there was more depth to him leading and being in that position from his time as a spartan
so even if Tyr isn't around, Ragnarok was indeed also led by a God of War
Tyr is pretty much still alive
@@mavvynne444 factual because apparently, you can find the REAL Tyr after the end of the game
His not dead you can find him in a side mission
@@khaoticdevil314 I saw a video. He is alive and well.
The prophecy was vague and did not specifically mention it was Tyr, just a God of War with a spear
The scene where Kratos blown the horn gives me chills. Wow incredible

5:05 For Brok
You're not alone
That crescendo at 4:55 sent chills down my spine. The God of War, as we knew him, has returned, but now he wages war for a just cause.
Fckn incredible. Check out ''salvation'' from the first game too. It has even more epic crescendo around 2 min mark.
Does any of you know the soundtrack of it?

It gives me chills every time I hear it. This scene is an absolute masterpiece.
@@aziz6217 it’s the main theme, just type in god of war ragnarok main theme and it’s near the end of the track
Honestly this scene made me cry. Seeing kratos control his anger yet still use it to be a powerful tool for peace. Beautiful absolutely beautiful
Me and you both 💪🏾💯
Same man so much emotion in this and the final scenes.
I was legitimately speechless like I'm not exaggerating this sht I was Flabbergasted no Cap
Yeah same. The music when blowing the horn made me teared up. We worked for 2 whole games for that exact moment!
Playing this with headphones when Kratos blew the horn after so powerful cutscenes I too started to tear up, chills down my spine and smile from ear to ear.. what an experience!
The image of gjallalhorn heard throughout all the realms, and their armies, knowing it's time, charging to battle upon hearing it at the same time brings me goosebumps.
Reminds me of the lighting of the braziers in LOTR. Chills.
i was so excited by this that i replayed that cutscene sooo many times. Just pure happiness and excitement
Kratos went as more than the General of Ragnarok. The God of War has returned.
Underrated comment! Chills brother
Odin, the God of War has returned! I bring Ragnarok to Asgard!
I didn't get to this part but I'm already liking ragnarok more than the 2018 reboot. This one feels more like a god of war game.
@@speedking7224
I wouldn't call 2018 a reboot. More of a continuation of the story.
The best way to describe that scene brother
5:00 This scene gave me far stronger chills than Avengers Endgame's final portals scene
*it's time.*
Same feeling
Both scenes made me teary-eyed
@@antismo9998 LOL
@@AmericanPsychoOST Hm?
Kratos had a large ass and powerful army in this. He had 6 gods on his side including thrud, 9 Valkyries, an army of light and dark elves, jormungandr, Fenrir, a giant aka angrboda, army of fire monsters from musphelheim, an army of ice monsters from hel and nifhelheim, and freaken surtr aka Ragnarok himself.
And all of this was pieced together so beautifully well imo
This game is definitely amazing in its own right
@@hash1ra_okami980 I genuinely was worried I would dislike the battle of Ragnarok because I knew there would be so many changes to the lore. However, I have to say, this was a beautiful masterpiece to play through and was bone chilling in several parts. So worth the wait

The little nod Kratos does after Atreus says “For Brok” gave me goosebumps. Such a perfect scene!
I wonder how Odin reacted to hearing gjallarhorn like was it a look of surprise that Kratos and the others had the balls to do it or did he realize that the prophecy he had hoped to prevent was coming true off his vile nature

I honestly never thought they could repeat what they achieved with GoW 4 but my god did they knock it out the park once again. A Masterpiece. This and Birgir's scene are probably my two favourite moments in the game. The design/direction of the sounding of Gjallarhorn and the music in particular is just..wow. From 4:49 onwards, this becomes one of my favourite game scenes ever. Fighting for Brok, beginning Ragnarok, opening the doors. This is where every God of War game has been building up to, whether they knew it or not.
When Kratos blew that horn and music started to play, I had so much chills I thought im ascending to heavens
That Gjallarhorn function in myth is to call Odin and Aesirs to go to battlefield at the beginning of Ragnarok. In this game, it is used by Kratos to call Surtr and those who has been wronged by the Aesirs.
Anyone else get chills when Kratos blows Gjallarhorn

IMO this was the most epic climax in a game ever. Everything that had been built up since 2018 and in this game all coming together. All the prophecies, plot twists, revelations, enemies killed, and allies made fighting in the climatic final battle mixed with Bear McrReary's epic score. It's a damn shame I could only experience for the first time once. Can't wait to replay this masterpiece. Thank you Sony Santa Monica! You've made me a fan for life
Kratos the new Tyr.
the prophecy did show the god of war holding a spear leading an army but it didnt specifically say which one lol
They couldn't of made that horn anymore badass then that.
This moment was Endgame portals level of chills man

THAT WAS A CALL TO US. TO EVERYONE WHO LOVES GOD OF WAR.
PREPARE YOURSELVES.
4:47 leaving this Time stamp here for myself. Bear McCreary you are a genius, I fucking love this game.
3:50 Did anyone notice that the music in the background is the same of Kratos' first appearance in the 2016 E3 Demo ("Then show me what you can do...I'm hungry")?
5:06 made me feel all tingly
Odin basically pissing of almost every other realm in existence: "I'M DOING THIS FOR THE GOOD OF EVERYONE!"
4:28 - Kratos’ posture change when Freya says “Today.” Is so subtle I love it. I won’t go into detail but this game just goes so deep if you want it… Everything you see has meaning and relevance, it’s a true masterpiece.
4:53 experiencing this for the first time, with headphones on, just hits different.
That Gjallalhorn sound just made me feel something that I’ve never felt before
The sound of Gjallarhorn plus the music could bot have been done any more perfectly

never has a game have me this much chills as the gjallarhorn scene

seeing Kratos as general again feels both sad and happy
God I can’t believe people don’t talk about this more often. The speech, the score, the cinematography and the sound of Gjallarhorn is perfect. I tear up everytime I watch this scene.
The last time Kratos was a general was the time it cost him everything, this time he’s a general for something beyond himself

This moment, and the game as a whole, is an unbelievably emotional and visceral experience. The Last Spartan: And you are all that is left I fate that our brothers of Sparta will live through true god of war.

This was a beautiful moment I can’t wait for in the game. As the general of the army hearing him blow the horn to all the realms just really works well with him being the God of war. It’s time to go to war🔥🔥🔥

The brass hits at 5:52 never fail to bring tears to my eyes. What I wouldn’t give to play this music. And the sound of Gjallarhorn ringing out into the hit at 5:12. I could listen to this soundtrack all day and never get tired of it

There are some moments in any form of art that stay with you forever. This is one of them. I get pure chills every time I watch it. I knew Ragnarok would happen but I never thought it would be Kratos sounding the horn.
3:59 "Wars are won by those that are willing to sacrifice everything." 🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪. It's actually one of the first things he learned from Aries, when he made him "the perfect warrior."
Ironically that is the lesson Kratos would reject in order to win: the one thing that he is no longer willing to sacrifice anymore is compassion. And that is why he won
