- The search for land continued in July of 2023. We headed down to Florida once again to look & really to see if we could stand Summer in Florida. We loved the weather & honed in on the area we liked the most...and all of a sudden things started to come together :) FINALLY!!

We are a (sort of) normal couple living a rather unusual lifestyle in a Tiny House on Wheels (192 square feet) trying to fit more adventure, travel and exploration into our lives! We love to go camping, hiking, backpacking, kayaking…and traveling with our 16 foot Scamp Trailer. We have an awesome Adventure dog named Redford that is up for anything. Madison is less than 60 miles from my hometown, Tallahassee. So, you can make shopping and restaurant drives easily if Madison doesn't have what you need. 😎👍
Hurticane Idalia was a real freak. First one to come up into Apalachee Bay in a century or more. Fortunately for me, it veered eastward enough to leave us in Tally undamaged. 😀
We have not been over to Tallahassee yet- lots like some fun stuff in the area...hopefully on our next trip down we can swing over there 😊

Im sure she would have if we asked- we did get our neighbor to send a few pictures of the front so we could see we lost a few trees, but overall not too bad!

Cedar Key was hit in the late 80's I was in Gainesville U of F at school. We got hit too.
Just goes to show you nowhere in Florida is immune to Hurricanes ... but we still love it

i like what you showed of the property. not to be a "wet blanket", i hope you checked on availability of water and electric.
that is really important when purchasing land! Gotta have access to the basics. Electric is at the street in front of the property already and we will have to put a well & septic in (which is what we are working on now)- getting raw land sure is a lot of work!
@@LetNewAdventuresBegin it is a lot of work (and money!) . in 1998 i bought my 5 acres. it had access to county water and electric ......and i still ended up puttting in over $20,000 on the land itself (not to mention all of the labor i did) during the building of my log home. i'm glad you're getting things going - i do really like the look of the property - the trees are awesome. i'll bet Red won't know what to do first with all that room! edit- and not telling you what to do; but, get yourself a water softener - i have county water; but it's hard water and a softener is wonderful........... with a well, a softener is a must - it'll really help keep your plumbing in good condition and provide much better water for the 3 of you.
My son is in Bell, south of your property. I've been visiting him here for a week. Will be heading back home to NYS monday.
I think we drove through Bell on our spring trip when we were checking out Northern Florida, some great rural areas around there. Hope you enjoyed the visit!

I would say about 45 min or an hour...I hope we run into him one day 😊

Wow, your tiny house will have a new home in Florida. There will be a lot of moving prep it will need before a multi-state road trip. Please, consider hiring a mobile home mover to prep & move it down south.
Its gonna be a big move! yup- we will have a mobile mechanic working on the trailer soon for tires/brakes and it will be moved by a professional driver 👍 she is wayyy too big for us to move 🙈
