Hi Isaac! It's hard to say specifically considering it all depends on the homes water pressure and that those attachments aren’t very exact in the dilutions. When cleaning your home you will want your mixture to be right around 1-2% Hope this helps.
Yes, you can use bleach to clean areas with brick under siding, but you need to take some precautions to avoid damaging the brick and surrounding areas. Here are a few tips: ### Dilution - **Dilute the Bleach**: Mix bleach with water in a 1:10 ratio (one part bleach to ten parts water). This will help to reduce the strength of the bleach and minimize the risk of damage to the brick. ### Protection - **Protect Plants and Surroundings**: Wet down any plants, grass, or other areas that could be affected by the bleach solution to prevent damage. You can also cover plants with plastic sheeting. ### Application - **Apply Carefully**: Apply the bleach solution with a pump sprayer or a brush. Avoid letting the solution sit too long on the brick, as it can cause discoloration or damage. ### Rinsing - **Thorough Rinse**: After applying the bleach solution, rinse the area thoroughly with water. Use a pressure washer on a low setting or a garden hose to ensure all the bleach is washed away. ### Test a Small Area - **Spot Test**: Before applying the bleach solution to a large area, test it on a small, inconspicuous spot to ensure it doesn't cause any damage or discoloration. By taking these steps, you can safely use bleach to clean areas with brick under siding without causing harm to the brick or surrounding surfaces.
I’ve been watching videos that pressure washing vinyl siding causes oxidation of the vinyl (breaks it down causing a chalky-powered surface). I haven’t tried it … I was going to pressure wash and have not decided against it.
I wouldn't use an 8 ounce/gallon ratio of bleach to water. That is going to be harsh on your vinyl. Try 3 ounce/gallon and give the solution more time to work on the mildew, then rinse with clear water. Don't use a high pressure power washer on any kind of house siding or it will force water under your siding and you will have much bigger problems.
Great video, Josiah!
Thanks man!
does the spray nozzle give you the ratios to what the settings are? whats the dilution at 8oz?
Hello there,
Do you know roughly what percent SH comes out of the hose nozzle with 7.5% bleach and the 8oz setting?

Great simple advice
Much appreciated Matt! Thx for dropping us a line
Awesome video buddy
Thanks so much Alex! Hope all is well.
Good job. Prob a pleasure washer would have sped up the job.
It definitely would have, we were showing everyone how to do it without it in this video. :) Have a good one.
