I love the look of THM components. But I'm a little hesitant. They seem like an extremely luxurious product with a large question mark over their heads; durability, especially for the price. I'd really enjoy a long term review with a fully kitted out bike that wasn't an Ax Lightness.

Hey Bikeradar, what I'd really like to see having seen this vid, what the lightest money no object bike set up you could build would be... And then you build it and test it.
So the worlds lightest frame, fork, wheels, tyres, groupset (although not having to be one complete groupset) finishing kit, even down to bar tape, bearings, lube cables etc.
A few rules if you decided to do it:
    1. It has to work, no point choosing etap shifters and mechanical mechs.
    2. Must contain bottle cages, pedals, power meter and computer mount (stem mounted would probably be the lightest) as this would represent a complete bike that would give you everything you would need.
That's it. Would the lightest ever bike build be any good? Too stiff? To flimsy? Or the best thing ever?

I'd like someone to build an Rca with these parts and see how light they can make the whole bike.

When you compare these to the looks Zed crank's and the Sram Red brakes you realise this is just a luxury item for Dentist triathlete's who piss in their bikes/wives. It doesn't even save me 1 cubic decimetre of urin in weight but they charge 4 times the coffee drinking engineering time. THM, Schmolke and Lightweight. They must be proud of their prices.I hope the customer count reflects.

So how many zeros are there in between the first digit of the price and the decimal point?

Three. You gets what you pays for. I got a set of secondhand THM cranks, they're super light and very stiff - they don't feel in the least bit flimsy.

The crank is cool but you have to use their bottom bracket which doesn't spin great.

I was going to remortgage my house to afford these bits, but it turns out that's not enough. Instead it looks like I'm selling my house and buying an apartment.

Handmade and computer calculated, why would anything be safer?

Some suckers will buy this stuff. My experience with everything I've tried in the super light weight category is it breaks really fast.
