Awesome stuff, was just having a discussion with someone who wanted to get started with github pages so shared this with them.
They mentioned they now have jekyll running in WSL2 and are just looking at a theme so an excellent video for them and very aptly timed! 👍

no choose theme button anymore, old video, github options are changed,

I've followed along with all of your steps. The only difference is that I have an index file. However, I can't seem to get the theme I chose to display on my webpage.
Index file as on html?
@@bdougie Ya. In your video you didn't include an index.html file. I can't see any reason why that would prevent the theme from working though.
Checking if the file is in the root of your project. Also best to share a link. To your repo, going to be challenging to debug via RUclips comments.
how to get emojis list?
On a mac CTRL + CMD + Spacebar
