so github page hosting has become way so easy than before, I used to create a 'gh-pages' branch, delete master branch stuff like that, but now it evolves a lot, I think github is inspired by Netlify, Vecel because they make hosting so much easier, like a no-brainer, we can easily deploy web apps with their services without going through configurations, thank you Shaun for this informative tutorial !!!

I don't know if you mentioned or not.. but there is a 10 minute delay after you host it. I spent 10 minutes wondering why it didn't work only to read the docs and find out that it takes 10 minutes to fully host... :D

Would we not normally expect root/index.html root/styles.css and root/contact.html to all be at the same level? In the directory structure, styles and contact are at the same level?

I can't help but wonder how it would work with frameworks likes React.js, Vue.js, Angular.js, or the like. Which have big bad node_modules folders, which are usually mentioned in the git ignore files.
Also, what about languages such as node.js and PHP, which are run server-side?
In any case, this looks very interesting and could be a great way for people who are just learning HTML, CSS and javascript to start hosting their own sites, without having to fork out cash. :)
