I find that most tutorial pages assume too much. I was looking everywhere for this exact tutorial, which was instrumental in helping me quickly spin up a page in GitHub pages. It's shocking that there aren't more basic tutorials like this one, but thank you so much for putting this out there! I appreciate it so much.
After so many false starts at building a github pages website, I'm finally making progress due to this tutorial. I just wanted the simplest way to build a site so people can know of me, but did not care about anything fancy. And you definitely gave the simplest explanation. Thanks!!!!!!
Thank you for the tutorial! I'm new to Github but have coded since high school so I thought it would be nice to have my projects available online. The other tutorials felt too advanced for me and you're the only one that mentioned we can edit directly on the browser.
I was looking into CTT and how he built his website. But I found it a bit cumbersome. But your way of using Jekyll and GitHub pages is exactly what I needed. I loved this!!!
Nice video. In the end, did it work with the pdf of the CV? For me it doesn't work unfortunately. It seems that in the top navigation it doesn't allow .pdf. Any suggestions?
Hey! I did the same but getting 404. Can you please help me? Edit: Actually, It started working! On Github Pages documentation it says that "On some occasion, the site may take 20 or more minutes to load". I left it for a nice 18 hours or so. xD Thank you, Kathryn Schuler
At least I created the Blog website with your tutorial. Thank you so much. If you don't mind, can you create another tutorial to install the Chirpy theme with this website?
Thank you for this video. I found this is really helpful. One question I would like to ask is how to change font? I have tried uploading font files (.woff) to /assets/fonts and replaced the default font codes in font.sass with the one I uploaded. However this doesn't work. Thanks for any help on this.
maybe you can change the "show_sidebar: true" option to "show_sidebar: false" in the config. yml file. Happy if it works and sorry if it's a late answer :)

Very good tutorial! I like that you included some of the debugging, since it is part of every project!
