Do you have a killer elevator pitch? Do you find it easy to introduce yourself at professional networking events?
If not, or if you would like to learn how to be even more compelling, I have a tip that will help you.
Imagine yourself for a moment on an elevator -- just you, and your target customer. You've got 30 seconds to introduce yourself in a way that really grabs their attention and makes them interested.
The mistake I see people making too often when introducing themselves, is they start out with something that is underwhelming and expected. The first ten seconds of your introduction is the most precious time you have with someone. Don't waste it.
A great elevator pitch should not simply be who you are and what you do. The most effective way to approach professional networking is to change your perspective.
Here's my tip: Start by thinking about what your ideal client wants to do differently, and what your solution can provide them. Start from the listener's perspective.
When you begin to think about what the listener wants, you immediately connect with them in a way that is interesting and compelling.
By simply shifting your focus to the other person, you can create an introduction that captivates. So, give it a try at your next professional networking event. See what a killer elevator pitch can do for you!

You are the person I have been searching for, because I felt it in my bones that the average elevator pitch, especially mine, was super boring and I wanted something different. And thanks to you I have found my pitch! This is an AWESOME lesson💝

A caustic question: How do you know if the ideal client does fancy to losing weight? The client might be happy with those pounds. There's a risk to make a huge mistake on making conclusions about "listener's perspective" just based on listener's look...

@@revathik9225 I did and got 10/10! From my feedback of the assignment, it's good to introduce yourself quickly then give a background of you about things related to the job position, mostly work experience if have any(i have none so i said how through my mums work ive always been involved in ...), then how you think you will be a good addition and how you can help, then close it by looking forward to working with you and stuff, and maybe a little "heres my information card" yknow. hope this helps

@@GeorgeSofroniouCy Congrats on the 10/10 and thanks for the tips! I'm starting to get some ideas on how to go about my pitch, but we've also been told to make the intro a bit wacky, so i'm having trouble with mixing a job pitch with being wacky!!..still working that out...also need to condense it all out into 90sec...so a lot of work to do to prepare this by tomorrow ...hope i can do at least half as well as you !

Have you ever tried an elevator pitch like the one you created here in the real-world? What was the response you got?
My personal opinion: The response you got must not be the one you really expected. You know why?
Because the real-world does not operate on text-book theories... regardless of how rational and sound the theory appears.
