Hi Daniel, I have an Etsy question.. I am planning to open an apparel store for Dog lovers wherein I will be putting designs for Top 19 Top dog breeds in U.S.A and the 20th section would be dedicated to other dog breeds.. Now my question is that Should I only put 1 product that is t-shirts on my store OR Should I rather have 2-3 products (t-shirts, mugs, blankets) under each dog breed section to give the customer more buying options and thereby also increase my Average Order Value? I would appreciate your response, thanks!

Hi! I'm not an etsy expert, as my focus is on amazon merch. But sure i can give you my opinion on this topic - for my own designs i always choose every product that is available on amazon. This gives the customer a variety of products to choose from and it's often the case that a customer likes the design, but wants a different product with that design. When choosing all different kinds of products, there's also a high chance of cross-sales. On etsy you have listing fees, so could first let your shop run with all products and later remove the ones that don't sell as they are only costing you money.
An etsy shop for the most popular dog breeds is a very big and competitive niche. I would rather niche down (e.g. pick a very specific dog breed/niche where the competition is not too high) and ask yourself the questions: Why should a customer buy at my store? What make my products unique? Otherwise there's a high chance that you will get lost in this big blue ocean.
