So glad Joe recognized that Rescue! is actually D.D. Crow, (and an extender, and a way to make your board more resilient) but mainly just the Crow thing because it's the least obvious of it's applications. Rescue Ace is actually a super fun deck, and the ratios are VERY debatable, but even if you make some suboptimal decisions I think it's great because of how solid the base is, and the deck having a couple of psudo hand traps (Particularly Impulse) makes the deck feel SOOO much more interactive going second on the 1st turn, the amount of times I summoned Attacker from deck in response to a Stratos monster to draw into more disruption is silly, AND it helps set up you bigger fire trucks. A beautiful piece of engineering even if it does feel like high roll Snake Eye sometimes.
I just put together my first testing build of rescue ace in master duel yesterday and I'm loving it.its a pure version but the fun extra deck focused on firewall dragon neo tempest
Is refreshing to see a deck that makes sense when you read the cards for the first time, and also is very competent. Since resolving Turbulence is your win condition, having stuff that helps evading targeting negation is very important, S:P Little Knight is very useful for this, also Emergency can tribute turbulence, and some decks even summon Mudragon with Proxy F Magician or Super poly to achieve this. This deck loses very hard to Evenly Matched and other board breakers so there are variants that can summon Baronne or use a cyberse engine to have a spell trap negate. Hydrant is a level 1 fire so there is a lot of synergy with Snake Eyes and Diabellstar and finally, Bonfire is full combo, because of course it is.
you know at some day something will click just right in hardlegs brain and he gets just the right deck and makes the best deck of the current format on accident. i'll believe in him.
The best deck of the format has been right there, hidden on the text of the War Rock cards all along. But Hardleg’s the only one smart enough to figure it out.
The card attribute is the environment they exist in, not the element they represent. Just because they are firefighters doesn't mean they should be water. They don't exist in water they exist in fire fighting with water .
Always thought Rescue-Ace looked pretty cool but I never really got around to learning them. This was a cool way to get a quick crash course on the deck.
Just something from my experience playing ACE is the deck wants some spell trap answers, the engine can answer everything else, but backrow is a little tough to out at times, super engaging deck to play tbh
I thought Duelittle Chimera was a do-nothing card since it was on the Yugi-poop streams from long ago. It actually being a recursion card is mind-blowing, at least for me. Still can't help but laugh at its face, though. Excellent bit of content; thanks again for making it!
I always wanted to play Rescue Ace when they were first revealed in the TCG but Hydrant became so expensive at one point. This video reignited that desire to build them in Master Duel.
I would wager its not popular since there's the one breakpoint in turbulance that if that's stopped, you have some problems. It can be worked around, but stop the turbulance and keep them off the field spell and you're good. The deck's field spell is basically mandatory after the first turn.
The field spell only being a once per turn per copy is actually pretty cracked sometimes. When I play Rescue I always try to Guarantee a Jormungander and Spright Elf pointing at it :D because of reasons.
I would love to see Joe learning to play Memento. The deck is under the radar, and is cheap by MD standards, but feels like it has potential. I will be playing it in the Fusion/Link festival in MD to learn it.
I assembled a decent amount of rescue ace on my masochist account 1 hydrant 1 turbulence, 1 emergency! 1 original sinful spoils, 1 of the lv 4 warrior guy, 2 of the level 3 guy and then different numbers of all the cards of the archetype except preventor I use my recue ace package in like 2 or 3 decks, one of them is zoodiacs bc i got 1 ratpier, 3 whiptail, 1 tigermortar, 1 of the Sun Wu Kon xyz, a drident and zeus, I also did sort of a machine pile that's not great and then I got a synchro one that uses the other rescue ace that aren't hydrant or turbulence to make zeta, cyberse quantum Dragon (or something like that) that can bounce a guy, scrap dragon, pep and like some other guys
There's somewhat evidence of Konami only really responding to Japanese surveys so I tried to say ban Maxx C in Japanese through Google translate but can't copy and paste it onto the survey. Any suggestions?
Maybe one day I'll have to become a patreon to suggest a deck like Dragon Link; I'd be super curious to see how Joe builds a deck that isn't archetypal
@@HardlegGaming fair enough, I don’t think someone could blind-learn a deck that anyways and the show does an awesome job at teaching archetypal building and synergies regardless
They have a website? I thought the only way to download it was through their Discord. That's where I got it. They have people there too who might be able to help you.
I finally went and crafted my second Super Poly for utility in various decks like this one even though S:P means I won't need it to dodge targeting as often. I COULD run 3 since it's a non-HOPT, but you usually don't have enough targets or spare cards in hand to fire it off more than once so 2 to see it more often is fine since it's usually a good 6th card to draw when going second, or even as a random draw off Wanted or HQ in this deck's case. And the Turbulence play is often enough to survive going first, with built in hand trap shenanigans eliminating the need for generic ones(outside of maybe an Ash Blossom to pick up again with Sunlight Wolf if desired), so it really just feels better to use with Board Breakers as non-engine to cover all your bases.
Learning Rescue-Ace was a lot of fun. Thanks for taking it up.
Btw for those who didn't understand what Critter said at the start, Critter said 'Fight fire with fire'
That's how a firebreak works, yeah. Good for forest fires, used correctly.
Rescue-Ace feels like the Machina needed to adjust to civilian life after the war so they took up fire fighting to continue serving their country

You scared us with the fire......thank goodness you were able to put it out safely!
Also, props for continuing the episode as if nothing happened

Snake eyes and diabelshit should be forbidden already
Kritter is a Level 1 Fire Beast.
Or perhaps a Fiend...

have you ever wonder why te Rescue-Ace city caught such a wild fire? It makes me wonder if the building were made out of gasoline
Remember kids, there can't be a forest fire if you already burnt it down!!!!!

Finally an Archetype I am interested in, as I long stopped playing YGO, but do like to watch your show, since it kinda keeps me up to date ^^

Why are fire fighters fire monsters that’s weird they should be water
Yeah it’s like the weirdest attribute for fire-fighters.
Maybe it's because you cant burn them
Everyone knows that you fight fire with fire
They run on a fire engine
Say this five times.

I’ve loved rescue ace since it came out, and even more recently now with how well it works with snake eye

You should do Lets learn Endymion
I may already be a patron, but thank you patrons! Ads are evil, thank you all so much.
some real audioslave 'be yourself' vibes to the bgm
I play this deck in master duel and trying to build it in the TCG. Its really fun
Well….that escalated quickly
On this moment 2:10 I learned how to spell the word feild… wait I mean field!
As someone who plays Rescue-Ace, this video gets an automatic like.
As a member of the R-ACIST community i approve of this video

Let's Build is a show specifically about learning archetypes. The format doesn't work for non-archetype decks like Dragon Link.

So what’s the donation amount to request a Let’s Build?
How do you download YGO Omega on Mac for 2024? Doesn't work from their website.

Gosh turbulence is such a ridiculous card, set 4 cards from your deck.😂
yo is that a mf junior journey reference
What is that software he’s using?
