Hope we get a centurion ladder climb so that Joe wears the kamina glasses the whole time, and during hype moments they play a portion of liberame from hell
So, this deck gets real tricky if you want to make the most of the Field Spell. Since it require the use of a Centur-Ion monster and doesn't state it has to be a tuner, you can splash in other tuners to get Synchro monsters between 5-12 and all that entails. And since Atry can be treated as a non-tuner, you can dip into Dragon Synchros that require dragon materials. This deck can do a surprising amount of stuff!
Hell, if you want to go more directly for the Quick Synchros, stuff like Hop Ear Squadron and Shining Star Dragon exist...as well as Tenpai. Who can make level 7s like Ancient Fairy Dragon. Tenpai's locks are only on one of their ED monsters and their new Genroku card, not any of the others, after all...
Centurion is an odd deck, instead of the usual synchro decks that aim to turbo their boss monsters to win the game inmediately centurion plays the resource game, trying to out resource the opponent by summoning a bunch of sticky recursive monsters that aim to control the game while also throwing a bunch of handtraps at the opponent because all of your plays can be done with 1 card, it's unique to other synchro decks that came before it and imo pretty well designed, also ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWER
@@moonjelly5 I use it to make my Buster Blader deck stick around longer by having a Buster Dragon that doesn't self-destruct on the following turn that I can summon outta the grave on the trap since it was properly summoned if it is eventually sent to the grave.
You play the deck with Horus and Bystials. The boss monsters are Chaos Angel, Dyspater, cosmic blazar and shooting quasar. The in archetype synchros, Horus, and branded regained make this deck's recursion and grind game amazing. People just made it into Calamity turbo but thats not the fun way to play it.
Question about Shooting Quasar: It can't attack if summoned via Crimson Dragon, right? Cause there were no non-tuners used as material. There were no materials at all, lol
I really like the way the emblema spell is only a soft lock. If you immediately synchro the monster off, it gives you access to other extra deck cards again, so if you know how the deck functions and don't just fire it off when you don't need to, it's essentially just a free search. Would be interesting to see more archetypes use that
Believe in someone else's decklist -> Believe in the netdecker who believes in you -> Believe in yourself who believes in you! -> *Believe in the heart of the cards!!*
The bystial resonator build of this deck is incredibly underrated and has a ton of cool combos. You can use Auxila and a bystial (or gargoyle) to make Spheres then bring Auxila back in end phase with phalanx grave effect, then spheres can convert into a bystial for rank 10 plays (druiswurm into Chaos Angel is excellent) or atry from deck during opponents turn. It can also get past the tuner issue by using vision resonator plus a bystial to convert into lubellion/accel, dis pater, then auxila, which can start your cent lines. It's my main deck right now and I HIGHLY recommend looking into it!
The rank 12 pool is small but mighty; my one concern is that Crimson Dragon Turbo will negatively impact the 5D's dragon decks in the long run- similar to how Branded or Tearlaments 86ed a lot of whom they ganked parts from by proxy.
You can actually use Shadow's Light on the Centurion dragon synchro to summon Crimson Dragon, meaning that you can get out Cosmic Blazar on your turn and then summon it again to get out Red Supernova on the opponent's. Just a thought.
the problem is konami is will to bring out lower power decks but arent willing to do a crucifixian ban list so that these new decks can even stand a chance. the fact they dont actively support the other fan made formats is disgusting
If you need to make more Quick Synchros during the opponent's turn for some reason, Bystials have Etude of the Branded to allow you to make stuff out of Dragons(which is kinda necessary in Branded Synchro if you want to Synchro Summon after using Branded Fusion) and thankfully Centur-ion DOES have archetypal dragon monsters they can use with it, and while Synchro Zone is notorious for being a lame unsearchable floodgate, it also has an effect to turn Synchro monsters into tuners(while bringing them back from the GY), and another to send itself to GY in order to pull out another way of Quick Synchroing.
It seems less like a deck and more like a 10-15 card booster pack to play in a powerful synchro deck to ad some protections and counter play onto it and having like 3 clowns jump out of your back row to recover on the clapback
Naturia Horus was a neat primer into kinds of dumb stuff you can do with the ability to spam a bunch of level 12 Synchros. Can't wait to try that with an archetype actually DESIGNED to do it intentionally.
This seems a really fun deck - then again I often find Synchro decks that summon on your opponents turn are some of the most fun I the game. While I think the deck needs to be combined with others for now, I don’t think that’s a massive detriment. The core deck here is solid, has an interesting gimmick, and the idea of a control/resource based synchro deck works well. I see this as a deck that just needs 1 or 2 more solid cards (possibly a level 8 Synchro of its own) to make it shine Since it does need some support from other decks, I can see lots of combinations working well; Horus is somewhat obvious, but I could see Snake-Eye, P.U.N.K, maybe Therion, or other Synchro based decks like Zombie Synchro, or some of the Synchrons could mesh well given the field doesn’t say you can’t use non-Centurion Tuners. Definitely going to keep an eye out as I can see this being a fun rogue option that can be experimented with well
Something dumb i thought of was mixing it with punk. Punk already does mess with level 8 monster and summoning on the opponents turn. The problem is surviving the opponents turn. This deck seems to be create somewhat sticky boards so I'm gonna have to try it.
weird. almost like 3 months ago i accidentally built a red dragon archfiend beck that can build into the centurion dark dragon synchro and then combo from there. i was just looking for a dark dragon synchro and it led to that
Between this and White Woods I'm starting to think Konami just don't want to make more good synchros, just expecting you to make something generic anyway
