This is less of a "Fenrir Challenge" and more of an Aggro Challenge, starring Ms Judge, featuring Fenrir.
i don't know, this sounded far more interesting when it was the idea of that i play only fenrir as win con deck, than having that random handicap.

i know people love to compare fenrir to pankratops but a face down banish is 10x worse than a quick effect pop imo.

It’s not supposed to represent a format. It’s based on the Dragoon challenge he did on stream a few years ago, where you would have to play through Dragoon + other disruptions. Also all the floodgates were at 1 copy in the deck
@@BatmannotBruceWayne1 I get that but it just seems unreasonable? Not every deck is gonna play like that and it misrepresents cards like Fenrir and Dragoon if your playing a deck like this. They’re usually supplemental to other strategies and I just feel it’s unfair to play with banned or limited cards to prove that another legal card deserves to be on the list with them. He played Imperial Order in the video which does deserve its spot on the list. Fenrir just seems like a non problem in comparison.

Adding another kash+having a crazy removal+1 card combo starter+is splashable in any deck and can burn all of the resources+free spsummon+if you just let it pop off you get full kashtira comboed before even going to the main part of the deck, ofc Fenrir is not a problem..

@ foxxinrox The whole point is to show how strong Fenrir is by having the opponent play through it plus some number of interactions. Fenrir at 3 just makes it easier to open the Fenrir so you don’t have to reset as often.

I'm not saying he shouldn't, or that the video is bad, I'm just saying the "Hey, you're cheating by using banned and/or limited cards!" is a hilarious hypocrisy in this video.

I like how Fenrir winds up being the least problematic card of this challenge half the time. Its main value is as a deck thinner going first, and going second it's basically a worse Pankratops since it can't dodge targeted OR field negation(I.e. Skill Drain) or beat over an Atk position Dark Magician.
It feels almost like Quantal in part did not disprove Fenrir's power in the last duel since he himself used it, though I will give him credit that I didn't know they were playing with no banlist so I wasn't at all expecting to see full power Tear be brought.
It was no banlist so Farfa could play 3 copies of Fenrir. We were all still expected to play under the normal banlist

Bro I for real don’t know what they were thinking with Kash. I have never once suggested this and probably never will again but every single card except Shang, Rise-Heart, Kashtira Tearlaments, and Kashtira Scareclaw need to be banned. They are inherently problematic and toxic.

First of all nearly all of it’s main deck monsters can be used in literally every single deck with no cost whatsoever that alone is extremely problematic but their effects are very strong and toxic considering how easy they are to get out I don’t even need to comment on Arise Heart.

I have to disagree here with the most powerful individual card. That would have to be Maxx "C".
The definition of individual means that Maxx C won't do anything since otherwise it's no longer "individual" card if you use any of the cards you drew
Individually? Not really... Maxx "C" is powerful because of its ability to get you other powerful cards, whether it be combo starters, extenders, hand traps, or board breakers. Maxx "C" can't help you if your Deck technically needs 2 or more Normal Summons to pop off. Personal experience.

I do not normally play Kash but its 2024 and Fenrir gets outted like a Kuriboh.

How much of a difference would there be if they made fenrir and the other kashtira monsters 1900 attack?
Not enough to make haters not to hate them.
It'd make them a bit worse going 2nd and easier to out in few situations, but I doubt it'll do much. The problem with the deck is that the lvl 7s have no summon restriction, not event hard opt on summon. They're still a free summon lvl 7 searcher with very good interruption and insanely splashable even with bad stats.
They're not hard to out on their own (or in pure Kash), but as an engine, you'll have to deal with them as an addition to already good board, so atk won't matter most of the time.

To the people complaining about Farfa playing 3 copies of cards on the Banlist in some form and saying this invalidates the video, might I remind you that Farfa can't pick the cards in his hand in Master Duel. He would have 15 Fenrir in his Deck to offset the chance of needing to restart the Duel because it wasn't in his opening hand so having 3 copies of cards allows him to actually see cards his opponent needs to try and play through.
As for the nature of even running the Floodgates and other cards, Fenrir is at his worst when combined with other problematic legal cards. It's not like he was playing Magical Scientist and friends featuring Kashtira Fenrir.
Regardless, just because a card can be dealt with doesn't mean that its presence is acceptable and healthy for the game. Just because you can Trap Jammer a Selfdestruct Button doesn't mean that Selfdestruct Button being legal is a good idea.

I am so confused by the fenrir hate. Its an uncommon side-deck card in most decks (and rarely used in MD), and it just doesn't do as much as other cards. I don't get how this is somehow more powerful than a card like talent
The easy answer is that between the two Talent is a reactive card that equalizes the game state (and can easily bring you to victory). Fenrir is a proactive card, that you summon for free and gets you a raw +1, then it can eats a disruption as well as banish a card, then it can go over a lot of things in battle. And it's one of the most generic monster staples that can search itself and has got a searcher for it as well.
So yeah, Fenrir is a free +3 basically.
At 1 is fine, I wouldn't ban it imho.
@@YukiHeroYGO It's at 3 in tcg, and talent is wayyy more common. Fenrir really doesn't see much play, even in link strategies that could use the free body.

Also the TCG has no Arise Heart. I could not care less about Fenrir or kash in general, my only personal problem is Shifter ahahah

0 Fenrir and 1 Unicorn like OCG is probably the only way to kill the engine. And before anyone says anything, no, that doesn't kill the actual deck, Kash still occasionally topped in that state.
@@ave4622 neutering a deck by getting rid of one of it's cards doesn't solve the issue tho. Tearlaments by itself is already an issue and even without fenrir it's already a menace to anyone that goes against the deck. Besides, fenrir's only real ability outside of kashtira using decks is having a free summon and banishing one card that's faced up on the field. Now from my own personal experience, tearlaments players don't always go for fenrir, but rather unicorn to disable their opponents best extra deck monsters, and even then there are many outs to it. Snake eyes, regardless of using fenrir or not (I've never seen them use it but it's whatever), is going to make someone have a bad day if they don't have complete board removal cards like dark ruler no more, evenly matched, raigeki and harpie's feather duster.
