Sanjay Manjrekar is crying from last 20 years about Sachin . Jealously is only word that comes in mind , Perhaps he was never able to digest how a Mumbai kid became so big . Who can forget his infamous article about Tendulkar’s Technique in TOI . Once he was considered most accomplished batsman but lasted 37 test matches only (Thanks to Dada and Dravid entry ) . Dravid was greatest “test” batsman in last 25 years for India but Sachin the greatest batsman in all format across any where . And the expectation that Sachin carried from 95 till 2003 was mountain. Btw for me biggest impact player ever for India in test is Anil Kumble . ( p.s. commenting after watching first 8 mins )
Edit 1. What kind of guy sitting next to manjrekar.. asking failure rate to Laxman . Analyst .. hmm 🤔

People need to stop calling Tendulkar a 'God'. There is only one God, and that is God the almighty, Tendulkar was merely one of the greatest batsmen in international cricket, but he was a mere human, one of God's creations. As a batsman, Virat Kohli rolls into one the best attributes of Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman.

He mentions Greg Chappell as being one of the 3 biggest impact players in the history of test cricket. I do happen to know from a reliable source that Greg Chappell was one of only 3 batsmen to average 50 or more during the 1970s.

India won only two matches in Australia so far from 1992 -2015
Dravid top scored in both the matches.
    Adelaide-223 & 71*
    Perth- 93
And in Jamaica he scored 83 & 67 in a low scoring match .Top scorer in tough bowling conditions .
Don't forget his contribution in many test match saving innings.

so can you name any series defining innings against South Africa aus new Zealand and eng .and why you bring jamaica performers in this is jamaica is in aus or south Africa or eng or in new Zealand. Actually the fact is dravid hasn't scored any series defining performeces in south Africa aus eng and in new Zealand .actually there is not a comparison between sachin and dravid .sachin is miles miles better than dravid in all aspects

No doubt, that Sachin & Rahul are the two greatest batsmen to have played for India irrespective of how you dissect the game of cricket.
Comparing the two would be a complete folly to put it lightly/mildly. The only factor, that distinguishes both is "talent". Sachin surely was superiorly talented in comparison to Rahul. Sachin's talent was a "God gifted"/"natural" one. Nobody can compete with such a talent. Any person who is bestowed with such talent is beyond all comparison.
But on all other parameters, they stand shoulder to shoulder.
Secondly, I wonder how people, including VVS today are claiming, that he (VVS) would have performed FAR better @no.3.
Don't these people know how bad his footwork was ?
Don't these people also know how vulnerable he was outside-the-off stump ?
No batsman could have performed "better" with such BIG flaws, especially in test cricket.

The most impacted player this game has ever seen , has been the Sachin Tendulkar, undoubtly!!! He not only gathered the mamonth tally of nearly 33000 runs but also successfully met with the burden of carrying the pressure of expectations of crores of Indians! Every time he went on to bat , he carried that extra pressure but then satisfied practically every nook and corner of our country over a period of time , relentlessly with an armoury at his disposal !!! So what an impacted player he was !!! Wasn't he ???

Dravid was a team man. He did every thing for team. He even kept wickets for longer duration and his batting skills were exceptional. Debuting at the age of 23 and ending up scoring 13k runs . Dropped from odi nearly for 4 years and still scored 10k plus runs in that format. Even in ipl he was surprisingly well. So comparing with sachin or any other batsman is absolutely bizzare and ridiculous.

Laxman brings out one of the biggest flaw in this analysis, psychological condition of the player. I myself regard Dravid nearly equal or better than Sachin in tests, but Sachin always played under 10 times more national expectations than Dravid. Dravid always took the backseat, out of the limelight, and focused only on his game. With Sachin a great innings was almost always expected, in *both formats*, not the case with Dravid. Sachin has had much more *good* series than Dravid in every country, Dravid has had more *exceptional* series than Sachin and more importantly away. Dravid had all 4 MoS awards away from India, whereas Sachin had 1 out of 5. But when Dravid failed, he failed badly. Had an avg of 16, 22, 32 and 120 in 4 series in Australia. Sachin had north of 50 in every series he played. Coincidentally, we drew the only series in Australia in 2003 and that was when Dravid peaked. This has been a constant trend in every country when you compare Dravid and Sachin. Tough call, but Sachin edges Dravid for his versatility, consistency and the insane expectations he played under

We all know that Dravid was great, an exceptional player, we adore & respect him. If Dravid plays well why we need to compare him with Tendulkar. All these chumps always try to bring Tendulkar down, I'm not talking about Laxman, but all others, the jadega's , the Manjerekar's and the chopra's are nothing but jealous of Sachin, as they couldn't emulate the kind of success Sachin has had. Aakash Chopra (Manjerekar, Jadeja also) might have had such 8-10 panel discussions just to prove that so and so player is better than Tendulkar. Harsha Bogle never does comparison, he appreciates the beauty of the game and maybe that's why he's class above every other commentator. Again I'm not talking about Laxman. I've not seen this video. Never will.

The sheer impact of Sachin’s presence has inspired millions of people across the world not only totake up the sport but also play the way he did . The meekness on display till date by the man speaks volumes and stands as an indelible testimony that keeps imbibing standards in people so don’t just come up with sub standard topics like this to make some money .

If you combine both test + ODI, Master goes first and followed by Wall and others.
Dravid is great player, No doubt. If you combine both ODI + Test, The Master is matchless. (may be next potential match is Kohli)
You may know by a handful the whole....below are few WC match highlights
1996 WC, Sachin was the highest run scorer for India and he scored 523 runs... Siddhu was 2nd leading scorer for India and he scored 178 runs.
2 times, highest run scorer in a single WC tournament (1996,2003), india went to semi in 1996 and went to final (2003)

3 times, highest run scorer for India in a single WC tournament (1996,2003,2011), india won the cup in 2011

in his 1st WC (19 years old), 2nd highest run scorer for India (1992). India managed to win 2 matches and Sachin was man of the matches in both matches.

Anyways kidding aside, Akash Chopra was by no means a FLOP player. He has had a very successful First Class career. He had a decent international outing, and was rather unlucky to not be given more chances. Considering how lesser talented players have been given lot more chances, Chopra was very unlucky to be dropped after just 1 relatively poor series. He did well against New Zealand in home and also complemented Sehwag perfectly in Australia. He occupied the crease for a long time and played the traditional role expected of an opener. Post that he had 1 poor series against Australia at home and he was unceremoniously dumped. That was a bit harsh considering how many chances others have got

There is no need of any second thought, Sachin is the best. When it comes to limited overs, there is no scope for any debate as Sachin would easily wins the race by miles🤭.
Only the possible exception for comparison is test, still tendulkar has the better edge over Dravid. There is no denial in the fact Dravid is a legend of the game but comparing to tendulkar is not acceptable.
Considering the stats in test Sachin as the clear edge. Sachin averages 53.78 even after playing 200 tests
whereas Dravid averages 52.31 after playing 164 tests. Even after playing 36 more tests Sachin as the better avg.
    *Some stats for comparison*
    Sachin:
    Avg(home):52.67
    Avg(away):54.75
    Total runs:15921
    Runs(home):7216
    Runs(away):8705
    Dravid:
    Avg(home):51.36
    Avg(away):53.03
    Total runs:13288
    Runs(home):5598
    Runs(away):7690
This stats show Sachin avgs better than Dravid in both away and home conditions. Also remember the fact that Sachin has an avg of 45+ in SENA Countries whereas Dravid doesn't have. Dravid avgs a mere 29.71🥺 in South Africa and that is not a stat justifiable for the GOAT 🐐 Indian test player. Interesting fact is that Sachin avgs 46.44 in SA pitches and have 5 centuries whereas Dravid as only 1. Another interesting fact is that Sachin avgs 53.21 in Australia whereas Dravid has only 41.64 and scored only 1 century whereas Sachin as 6🔥.
Some people says that Sachin is selfish player and he only plays for the runs ,but those are some idiotic claims because the same Sachin that these people accuses for selfish play have taken 29437 balls to pill up the 15921 test runs. But Dravid has taken 31258 balls to get 13288 runs.
Consuming lots of balls will not win you games ,the most important thing that matters last is the runs in your scoreboard and Sachin has contributed more runs even consuming less balls than Dravid. This shows Sachin's greatness and superior batting skill. Does this makes Dravid a selfish player(consuming lot of balls and scoring at pathetic strike rate)????
( Actually no😅, I know this is test match and consuming balls is not a crime and some match situation demands this style of play. But some illogical people goes on saying Sachin is a selfish player and I don't know on what basics they are claiming🙄. If they are saying Sachin is a selfish player, then on what category should Dravid be included😂😂). I never meant to disrespect Dravid but my words are for Sachin hater's and it's better they make a reality check 🤗😂.
There was a time when Sachin was the lone warrior and he had to do the heavy lifting . He had single handedly won many matches without much contribution from other batsmen any there was a time when other teams believed, " when Sachin is gone, half the battle is won". There are many instances where Indian batting order collapsed after Sachin's wicket. ( There are plenty , if I want to name them few😂). I don't know why some people still saying the blunders that Sachin contributed less in winning games in test , but actually Sachin avgs 60+ in winning test especially in foreign soil along with Dravid . Even in lossing causes also, there will be Sachin's lone batting efforts. But some foolish people blames that when Sachin scores runs or get a century, it is of no use as India lose. It is one of the biggest blunder statement and some idiotic people continues spreading it😂. They are not aware of the fact that, by saying so they are not actually degrading Sachin but the rest of the team's batting lineup. These blunder statement literally translates that, 'even in lossing cause there was Sachin's contribution but even after Sachin's contribution if the team went to loss, then the sole reason will be the Ill performing rest of the batting lineup but Sachin was still able to tackle the obstacles in that difficult pitch where others perished'.

He has contributed everywhere. First Indian to score centuries against every cricket playing nation and every foreign country that plays cricket. He had to play alone after all the people had been bold that's why needed to take the extra balls... Dude.

Superb. What that amateur journalist forgot was Sachin's record against Australia in Australia where Rahul Dravid and VVS performances paled in comparison. And that Australia was ruthless, well-oiled machine that boasted of McGrath, Warne, Lee and Gillespie. Rahul Dravid's record in England where it seams and swings is abysmal. Whereas Sachin stamped his class and dominance. Sachin is the G.O.A.T. He is in the league of Sir Don Bradman, Sir Gary Sobers, Sunil M. Gavaskar and Sir Viv Richards. It's blasphemous to even compare the batting masterclass of Sachin R. Tendulkar with Rahul Dravid. Even though Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman were great batsmen, but Sachin R. Tendulkar was the greatest amongst the greats. Period.

Dravid didn't received the kind of reception or he been celebrated as of now during his playing days. Unlike Sachin ,during his playing days he didn't have the same amount of fanfare as Sachin and didn't credited for his contributions. That is a truth, it's well Dravid being credited for his contributions now, but that doesn't mean Dravid is by any mean above Sachin. Sachin's contribution to cricket is way higher than anyone. He was an emotion. His contribution is not limited to just one format. He also chipped in with crucial bowling also. It's good to praise Dravid for his heroics but don't make Sachin a tool. The same people who accused Dravid as a just one dimensional player who only knows to bloke and play with pathetic strike rate have realized what Dravid meant to Indian cricket after these years( also his contributions to juniors and under-19 sector has made a huge impact on people about him, also his gentleman nature), that guilt feeling in people of not crediting him much during his playing days have now prompted people to celebrate Dravid has never before. It's good ,but to make Dravid has a great, generous and team player, many are picturising Sachin has a selfish player who only played for runs . It is very disgusting nature of people, there should be some level of courtesy and don't forget what Sachin meant to Indian cricket ( not only Indian cricket but to cricket) He is the greatest ambassador of the game and undeniably the real GOAT 🐐.

WOW after so many years Sanjay Manjrekar got the support from some other to try to degrade Tendulkar. I hope this was the only use of this book. The other thing is they pick a player whom they want to show as the impact player and then try to prove it. For example for 2003 IND PAK match they are proving that 98 by Tendulkar was not an impact inning and the inning after that was. So you mean if Tendulkar had got out for 10 or 15 you would have won the match? For 1983 world cup if Kapil had not played the inning of 175 would Sandip Patil be able to play the inning in the Final. What a waste of time by the writers.....

To understand journey and quantify the impact is not that much easy the way they are trying to do calculation. In our generation lara is the biggest match winner in test match and Sachin in one day match.
If sachin can bat in 1st down then might be he can able to beat lara as per talent wise. But there is no if and but. For me lara , sachin, inzamam and Steve Waugh they are the biggest match winner. Before 90's have not seen the cricket otherwise might be I will take the name of viv Richards by seeing his record. The only thing is viv was not need to face his own team bowler as during that time WI bowler was threat to other team. Dravid was in great form 2001 to 2004. Sachin was in peak from 1994 to 1998 and then 2007 to 2011. In middle sachin was in good form but not in his peak. So if you calculate in that way might be you feel sachin have more impact compare to Dravid.
I don't believe in that type of calculation. Just want to say you can calculate in different different way. Fully disagree with his calculation that is the bottom line.

These half baked guys (except VVS, who said "Don't compare players") are using statistics to glorify others over Sachin. Just look at the batting averages of Sachin, Dravid and Sehwag against Australia played in Australia and you will know how great is the difference. Sachin 53.2; Virat Kohli 54.08; Sehwag 47.4; Pujara 47.28; VVS Laxman 44.14; Dravid 43.96; These are their career records in Australia which was the toughest team to beat during their time. With the lowest averages against Australia in Australia, they are definitey not better than Sachin. What numbers are these guys talking about? Overall averages? Yeah if you score runs against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh and built your career records you don't become better than Tendulkar. Sorry to hear this low quality discussion.

You can compare and decide, but what about over all performances, in Eden gardens in 2001, that Laxman test, sachin tendulkar got 3 valuable wickets in 2 nd innings, so also in Adelaide in 2002, where he got 2 and what about the impact Tendulkar had on other players and his presence had on opposition. What indian cricket is now or BCCI is because of that kid with curly hair. He added fans, money, opportunities to the spot. Please don't compare. Enjoy the game of cricket and love it.
