It really does deserve it, but as much as I'm a HUUUUGE fan of (just finished reading everything, in my definite top 5 of all-time), Medaka Box has just less success than those series like Reborn, Bleach, HxH, Etc...that are making their comebacks lately I WANT it to happen, but for Medaka Box, it's definitely impossible, and it's gonna frustrate me my whole life, lmao
Weird thing about the anime was the panty shots. As far as I could tell from the manga, that rarely happened. Yeah, there was a bit ecchi, such as torn clothes, but almost never panty shots.

You say that but the stories of evangelion, gurren lagann, ugly yet beautiful world etc were all written by in house people at Gainax. A lot of Gainax animations were turned into manga afterwards due to popularity but Gainax is the opposite to the norm in that regard.
Actually, evangelions manga isnt exactly related to gainax... about the others, i dont really know, but the point is that an animation studio doesnt focus on just one genre, they have a lot of variety
think his point may be something along the lines of with Medaka Gainax has started walking away from envelope pushing work to generic looking anime centred around school children. Unlike in cases such as Evangelion where school life formed a handy secondary component it seems intrical to Medaka.
