They’re opposite sides of the same soul. Sharing similarities and having their differences. However they’re incomplete without each other.
I come here to listen to this masterpiece again after the tragic death of Kazuki Takahashi. RIP Legend you made my childhood, you will remain in our hearts forever and your soul is now in each of our Yu Gi OH cards
In my country there was an episode every day at 16 PM without Saturday and Sunday. Back in the day I hated Saturday and Sunday! :D The other option was 6 AM, however, I hardly ever watched them that early.
Before the show got shitty This was it. I mean seriously, why even continue the series if the character it's named after isn't even around anymore? FFS
Honestly, after Synchro Summon, which made sense, I gave up on Yu-Gi-Oh in general as it seemed like the series just went shit, games and all. Fusions were calm, Synchro's were alright, but that Xyz and Pendulum bullshit just made me give up. The entire series went from fun to overly complicated just like that.
+4R IMO Xyz was gamebreaking at first but then they took good precautions with the banlists and made them a bit more fair. You still needed to get two cards with the same level out and for the most part you would either run Xyz OR Synchros. However I think Pendulums ruined the game 100%. You could beat an Xyz deck without Xyz usage but pendulums may as well have their own game mode
+ParadoxycOnline Xyz was alright to say the least. Balanced still doesn't mean overly complicated. I'm one of those classic Yu-gi-oh guys, having a card collection, playing the old games, but some things just made me give up. Everyone had the advantage of Xyz cards and all of that whilst I just get overexcited from summoning Buster Blade (Childhood card lolz). But I think we can both agree that Pendulum just killed the game and almost the franchise. There's just no point anymore, whoever starts first with a Pendulum deck wins.
+Aram Allo deeper than most incomprehensible trap music nowadays that's more akin to high pitched whining as opposed to audible lyrics. At least this song has 6 audible words in it xD
Dan Green was incredible here. This narration still sends goosebumps up my arms, and this video is stunningly well-cut. The visuals tell you the entire emotional imperative of the first season and instantly makes you understand who the heroes are and what they're fighting for. Even the cheesiness of "D-d-d-d-d-duel!" is iconic at this point. Incredible; some of 4kids' best work, no doubt.
Tavake Toki I mean, I really enjoyed GX despite missing the original cast and theme song hard. After that though, I lost complete interest. Battle City is still king!
@@tavaketoki1134 when they implement effects and Attacking directly, it got better. Plus marik and Pegasus are like underrated villans as well. Also, imo, Yu-gi-oh is one of those rare series where the dub was actually a better sub. More enjoyable and OPs were fire and hype as af.

Konami didn't really have a set rule guideline for the card game until about Battle City, so that's why card like Dark Magician and Summoned Skull didn't require tributes to be Summoned during Duelist Kingdom. Still doesn't explain why characters up until about ZEXAL Normal Summoned monsters in Defense Mode, though...
Yeah, this really remember this. People like me who grew up during the early and mid-2000s, our first exposure to anime was this. I know I probably watched Pokemon before this, but I was too young to remember it, I actually remember watching this when it came on TV. I dunno, I know it's probably nostalgia talking, but I love this show. It's corny as hell, and very hammy at times, but that's what makes it more enjoyable. And plus this whole sub-genre of anime's centered around a game, like Pokemon or Bakugan, is kinda interesting. Plus it's something that easily bleeds into reality, it really got you into buying the cards and having an awesome deck, but like most kids we probably didn't know how to play it or didn't have the attention span to do so. But i'm sure as adults, some people play this game religiously, but i'm sure it overshadowed by more popular card games.
@@brianodonnell9571 Except I'm pretty sure Pokemon started on UPN, not Kids WB, granted that was very short-lived. Alas, I can't find a citation online, but that's what I recall because it's what I remember most about UPN from that time.

0:42 you can very easily tell which one is which simply by the way they stand. Yugi being the shy one, stands tight. Meanwhile the Pharaoh appearing confident and keeping his cool. Well that's the point of their personality in the show

David All Anime Shows Were Aired On Kids WB, Since 1999-2007!
Back when i was younger i watched a lot of bakugan ,dragon ball , and yugioh
Right .watching as a kid and a kid is totally different. Almost like watching to different show's.
In my country there was an episode every day at 16 PM without Saturday and Sunday. Back in the day I hated Saturday and Sunday! :D
The other option was 6 AM, however, I hardly ever watched them that early.
*anime
Before fusion
Before syncro summon
Before xyz summon
Before pendulum summoning
This was it
Before the show got shitty
This was it. I mean seriously, why even continue the series if the character it's named after isn't even around anymore? FFS
+Narutard Z AMV's Right? If not Yugi without little Yugi around.
These lyrics are just so deep. 👍🏽🔥

***** It's simple really. He has decided to screw the rules, since he has spiky hair.

Rest in peace Kazuki, for making our childhood feel special with this.
