The whole anime anime turn around kumagawa, sometimes the plot doesnt take any sense, sometimes something which makes sense doesnt make any sense ( when kumagawa said that he was in school just to have his exams). And in this episode the reality itself is around kumagawa psychology (screw on the wall). We can say that kumagawa erased the reality that the anime exist, that's why he said in the end that he lost again.
