HUMPHREYS PEAK IN WINTER. Arizona's Highest Mountain

Humphreys Peak is winter is a good challenge. Flagstaff's classic peak makes for a great day in any season. When it's snow-covered things get a bit more difficult but certainly more beautiful. During a recent trip to Arizona over Thanksgiving Break I had the chance to summit Arizona's highest peak.
I am a channel who hikes. I go to places like the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Patagonia, Nepal, Mexico, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Colorado, Washington, Yellowstone. I have traveled to every country I the world.

Nice video! Wife and I hiked that on a warm afternoon as soon as we landed in Arizona from Florida. The oximeter reading for her on summit was whopping 69%, mine slightly better. So that was a pretty unpleasant hike. A night in Flagstaff, a night at Taos ski valley and Wheeler is NM was way more enjoyable until the descent when we got a call that while away our house was broken into...

and to think, at one point in (relatively) recent history, you would have had another 4000 feet to go before you reached the original summer of that Volcano.

Do you ever hike the White Mountains? East + West Baldy Trails would be a fun run for you

Hi Craig, Yes I have been to the White Mountains which are nice. I've been up Baldy as well once and really enjoyed it!

How long was your hike round trip?

There may have been snow and it may have been cold, but the end of November is not winter, so the title is misleading.
