BMW DOOR LOCK REPLACEMENT AND SOFT CLOSE REPAIR

Soft close usually stops working due to broken retaining screw on the soft close motor. Use a 1 1/4 inch Bolt or screw with nut to replace the broken one. If the motor is making broken sound then it cannot be repaired, you have to get it replaced. Good thing about softclose motor is that you can get the motor of any BMW's irrespective of model and replace with the same technique. I have used E60 motor and lock with my E70.
I have used the same motor for F10 and F01 also.
Tools required:
Torx bit - T10
Torx bit - T20
Torx bit - T30
Spanner - 10mm
Spanner - 8 mm
Sharp knife
Flat Head Screw Driver - Medium size ( Long)
Tiny flat head screw driver ( To take out the electric connectors)
Door Pad remover tool (You can work with flat head screwdriver and plastic card instead)
Super Glue and Sand (to fix the broken clips)
Battery disconnection NOT REQUIRED.
