- Ravine In The Flat Field: A tribute to Bauhaus. Recorded live dress rehearsal 30OCT2001. The band performed a few times around the Omaha/Kansas City area in late 2001. Unlike most tribute efforts there was little to no financial gain, this was purely a love for the music and power of Bauhaus. Great pains were taken to recreate the equipment and sounds heard on album, in concert and on bootleg. Sadly, at the time the Post-Punk resurgence was in its infancy & Bauhaus remains a cult following to this day.

Great job. Never thought someone would do this good
If you know Antonin Artaud that’s a great choice of you I love him deeply 😊 cause he was my theater mentor with the theater of cruauty but nobody in Paris was ok to teach his genious theory of a sort of carthasis as the aèdes in antique grecque ! So I decided to write poetry ! 😊 merci to translate what I wrote in English I was honored 😊
you should label that this isn't the real Bauhaus, i was fooled....
+ash march i totally was too! more than that, I was for a moment there like "i can't believe there's a live album out there this sounds so DARK and raw and awsome" hahaha
cheers, Ravine! you rock. literally.
ME 3 ..
@@MissEighties ITS GOOD INIT ...
You were fooled lol.. it says in the info that it’s a tribute
I had this come on during a drive.
I legit thought that it was a modern recording, and that Peter Murphy just couldn't hit the notes anymore.
For the curious, he performed BLD at Coachella a few years back. His range is still there.
to alll who appreciate GOOD music well dun! All those negative comments must be those of us humans who never picked an instrument eh? I never did either but I can defo hear how bloody good these guys are as it took a while to see it's not the original band! I wasn't fooled, just lulled by unbelievable talent from 4 guys who must've loved Bauhaus...
Grand groupe que Bahaus très très fort puisant sa révolte dans les entrailles des ténèbres je les écoute depuis toujours 1982 et je suis content de voir que ils ont fait des beaux enfants
"A great band that Bahaus very, very strong, drawing its revolt from the bowels of darkness, I've always listened to them since 1982 and I'm happy to see that they have made beautiful children"
@@echoluxe2022 yeah really nice 👍 you are welcome in my heart 🤘
@@FrédérickDettloff thank you. Merci bien!
What I love most is how at the end of several songs, he calls to the audience, but we hear no reaction, only his voice echoing in the empty, dark hall.
probably because they suck
the audience is dead...dead, dead and dead, dead, dead, dead..... :D
Great tribute band! Respect from Brazil.
Je l’adore ! I do get bores un thé flatfield !
never seen BAHAUS live something i missed for being born too late ! it must have been a...FUCKING GREAT EXPRIENCE !!
it was... i was center in a show he did in columbus ohio in the late 80s... he stood still center stage with all these lights on him like he was a spectre...and all these stinky clove smoking peers in leather and fishnet and stained concert t shirts... and manic panic hair dye... Loved every second of it.
As a member of a band that occasionally played the easiest song on the planet - Dark Entries - I can appreciate the love that went into this. Very good!
Great Work ... Very Nice! Love Bauhaus !!
Instrumentally very tight.. I could almost feel the raw authentic vibe and energy of a true Bauhaus performance.. until the vocals hit.. they were too muddied and flat but maybe that was on purpose, because few can imitate the ungodly dynamics of PM.. but regardless, this was probably the best most consistent tribute of early era Bauhaus I've heard to date. Kudos!
Fooled me. Didn't catch on until reading some of the comments.
It got me as well.
Got my like instantly, very good tribute. Just a bit misleading and took me some time to understand who is playing here.
I missed out on this!
I could have brought a
Fretless Fender jazz bass into the mix!
Awesome tribute band...1000 times Better than a lot of bands that participated in the BAUHAUS tributes!!!
WOW love Bauhaus and lucky enough to’ve seen em twice in the last few years. This is a monstrously excellent tribute - and love the audio production
Best cover I've heard so far, great musicians and vocals.
Really good tribute to one of the greatest bands of all time
Marvelous tribute to the greatest band ever! Congrats from Portugal, Sam
Sort of like garage rock Bauhaus. Pretty cool.
And their version of Eno's Third Uncle fucking kills.
the first song looks like ian curtis! so good tribute
"Almost recently I heard about Bauhaus by a shirt that Alfonso André had, the bataco of Caifanes, in a video clip, back in 2014, since then I found on the network this video, or pubication, from that year until now (2022) I thought it was really Bauhaus who played, until I took the time to read comments and connect the dots! It's amazing! Not Bauhaus! but they sound the same!!!! it's awesome!!!!! Do you have any albums of this tribute?" I do not but they still perform around Halloween. It's a pretty pure tribute, I don't think they're out to make money or sell albums or anything. Thanks for listening.
It's a tribute band true, but great work.Bela is done awesome.I loved that song since, "The Hunger".
fantastic. this fuels my creativity
great job guys! this sounds excellent!
The more I play this, the more I love this.
I think a flanger would have worked better than a phaser on Third Uncle, but otherwise this is excellent, the energy is incredible.
Im good with the phaser.. a bit fast tempo on this one, however...
great cover band... would have been a fun show
Great work!
MY first double dare init ..
Lads, you sound seriously good. Enjoying my Saturday morning.
sounds like a heavy metal version of ian curtiss, exellent
?
This album is so fucking cool
Ricky Pro Indeed it is - the sincerity and craft they built this album upon is profoundly fucking advanced.
I have to say that you guy's Nailed this to the Cross, it sounds great. I was in a Gang of Four cover band called Not Great Men & it was one of the most fun projects that i was ever a part of so i know how ya all felt. BRAVO!!!!!!!!
I've never seen a tribute band ...( saw Bauhaus a few times '81-'82) ..the music is as near as..
Even the low fi production /post punk/dub intro (not 'Goth')sound of Bela' is good ..
Thanks for upload ...
I really thought until the singer started to sing it's Bauhas....
@@tereziak3857 indeed , if somebody had put out a story saying "before splitting up they did some demos with a different vocalist" I would have said 'oh yeah I heard those'..
The sound on this is absolutely incredible. Really really impressive.
exquisite craftsmen
Thanks for the full album ! Gréât idéa !
EXCELENTE TRIBUTO!!! suenan igual que Bauhaus!!
Pretty Amazing!!!
This is amazing, i cant find any info on this band (Ravine) anyone that knows more please help out.
Very good!

couldn't tell the difference between a bauhaus bootleg & this one...
lol, how?
low perception.
Can't wait to see this live.
5 Stars to you!!! Great tribute!!
great job!!
genius!!!... great job!!
A work of love. Sincere to the core. Absolute greatness.
I am interested in putting a couple of tracks of yours on The Whip 4, a truly Gothic brand of comps, and it will put you into the Gothic timeline, forever. I dare you. Ha! My Facebook page is where I am. If you are not with the band do you know how to get a hold of them?
Check out Bauhaus- stair way to Escher lol their best album
passion of lovers is probs my favorite song from this album
Very good job buddy
Dude … XD
I get bo(ooo)red, I do get bo(oooooooooo)red
DECEPTIVE: You need to have "A tribute to Bauhaus" in the description. Good job besides that. -DW
Is this the vinyl version? This sounds way more raw than the CD!

AGENDA
SIMONSEN
Se over subliminal CI so anime control Google seasons wavy
the title track is better than the real band minus the vocals...
What's the point of this?
I thought the same thing you did, when I heard about it. I thought why bother remaking something we already have. But listening to it, it's not just a Bauhaus imitation. It's much rawer and punkier than the original material. It's sort of a garage rock reinterpretation of Bauhaus. It's like how Bauhaus offered a goth version of Bowie's Ziggy Stardust -- a reinterpretation rather than just an imitation. Listen to the original Third Uncle (Eno), then the Bauhaus remake, then this remake. All three are very different songs (and all three are great IMO).
a copy.
A tribute recreation by Ravine in the Flat Field. The first line in the Notes tells us so. Come on, give them their due. They're great. Most tributes are about the people who do it, mpressing their own sound onto some else's music. These guys are doing it for the "love and power of Bauhaus".... a sound now long gone.
fake...wtf.
Que bien tributo.
