Do you know which songs were recorded at Hairy Mary's? That was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. Hairy Mary's had these huge Y-shaped supports right in the front of the stage, and I remember Yow mentioning that he wanted to take those on tour with the band. There was also a moment when a guy sat on the shoulders of a guy in the front row and then Yow climbed up and sat on that guy's shoulders, and eventually all three of them face-planted right on the stage.

Just got to see Robert Plant live a few weeks ago in Atlanta.... and it was such a PRIVILEGE... his vocals were fabulous. First time I ever wanted to CRY in a concert cuz I was watching a legend!!! Took my mom and she had no idea who he was. LOL ... she knows now!

1969 Led Zep was the B band for Iron Butterfly at the Rose Palace in Pasadena. Zep stole the show. No one had ever heard anything like them, and they were an immediate success. Saw them later on at the Forum in LA, and they were too drunk to play well. Sucess works both ways, and the only way to go from the Top...is down. One of the finest rock bands, ever. They weren't Gods, just humans with that unfoirtunate human condition of pride and vanity. Drugs and alcohol took them down.
