Brian Turrington (bass and co-writer) recently passed away. He was my friend, we wrote and played together back in the day. He was a unique musician. and just about the nicest man you could hope to meet.

So sorry for the loss. This has always been one of my favorite Eno concatenations, with the bass being the one part my brain fixates on without fail. Thanks for reminding us of someone who qualifiably made this song what it is - always captivating, driving, aggressive and fresh. RIP.

Of Eno's first four solo LPs, three are total masterpieces and one, 'Taking Tiger Mountain...', is merely brilliant....'Another Green World' is a strong contender for my favourite album of all time..

Proto punk at its absolute best with so much going on and still keep a haunting melody.
who is like Eno ? have loved his music since my youth. Baby's on fire.
Working with Bowie on his Low album especially sound and vision.
So much talent stirs one's soul to the dark fringes of humanity on the dirty boulevard for a smoke break.
So many artist owe a debt of gratitude to Brian Eno for his influence.

He almost always played as a part of other peoples' concepts - most notably in Roxy. When you think of Roxy Music, you think of Bryan, of Eno, and maybe of Andy. You don't think so much of Phil.

Burn my uncle, burn his books
Burn his shoes, cook the leather
Put it on me, does it fit me or you?
    It looks tight on you
There are tins, there was pork
There are legs, there are sharks
There was John, there are cliffs
There was mother, there's a poker
    There was you
    Then there was you
There are scenes, there are blues
There are boots, there are shoes
There are Turks, there are fools
They're in lockers, they're in schools
    There was you

Yeah, but Brian Eno set the bar pretty damn high, there's not many artists that can claim to be better.

@@unkindestcut Just saying, to throw out one random "rock god" as a pop counter-culture example of a "hot take". And it's fun to pick on Nirvana.
