Hey Jason. Thanks for the great videos. We are always amazed by your artistry and expertise! It inspires us here in New York to learn how to select the right experts for our hedges. Wish you were local 😎
Lovely finish with a level flat top. That’s a great idea with the sheets on the ground prior to cutting. Happy New Year. Looking forward to more videos on your excellent channel.
And another laser-precise hedge work. Dammit I won't know how you achieve these straight lines. When I do hedges it's straight but not on this sharp level. I love to watch your videos trying to learn your moves. Cheers and happy christmas!
Thanks mate. I'm sure your hedges are looking great 👌, the more you enjoy the cutting, the easier it gets, glad your enjoying the videos. Have a great New year 👍👍
Another good job done. One you wouldn't want to do after Christmas fitting down the side of the garage lol 🍰🥧🍾🍗🍗🥕🥦🥔 the top clippings will work down though the top in no time. As you say best of two evils. Your right about just showing of the nicer jobs.
It's a shame, I know it could make a really nice hedge, but if the customer isn't inclined, then it's a case of doing our best at the time, that said still a shame it will get neglected. Thanks for watching 👍 Happy Christmas mate 👍🎄
Hi Jason I’m not a professional but I have the best part of 500ft of 7ft high hedging on my property that I look after, half is privet & the other half is yew. I’m getting myself a new hedge trimmer and was wondering, in my situation would you favour a 60cm blade or a 70cm blade? (Just for reference I’m looking at the stihl hse electric range, 71 & 81) Thanks for any help 👍
You made a lovely job of that ,well done .Shame the customer didn't leave a bit of grass around the hedge instead of putting shingle on all of it .I have a few jobs like this with ornaments and all sorts you can't move out the way ,and it's one of those "Why am I doing this " jobs.
Is that a short shaft stihl hl 92 kc ?? Looking at the sthil site now iam thinking of getting one or a husqvarna 525he3 Guessing youve got or had both if you were me which would you get I like your work good on ya
Great job! How long did that take you and how much you charge? I know some gardeners don’t like talking about prices but i find it interesting to see what people charge in different parts of the country.
Hi Jason it’s david again can I ask a Quick question I use Stihl but thinking off changing to a battery one what are your views petrol or battery if you have used one I am thinking off going to a battery one . David
looking good Jason there always has to be the awkward bit to spoil things lol. very little work for me now as I don't tend to leave anything left undone for this time of year.(good excuse to get on bike more etc) anyway enjoy your xmas break & atb mate.
Great video once again , ive watched em all whilst recovering from the lurgy thanks for the entertainment . Do you do a feed after trimming normally ? maybe some chicken guano for the ligustrums ?
Sorry to hear you have been unwell, hope your on the up, no, don't tend to feed, but it's something for me to think about mate. Happy Christmas mate 🎄👍
Hi Jason, curious what kind of sheets you use? They look like they weigh themselves down to the ground rather than having to put a weight on each corner to pin them down!
Hi Jason, or anyone else who can help please.. I'd like to identify that particular step ladder type. Essential piece of kit, obviously. I've never seen one before.
Don't you check the inside to see if it's green and trim the interior if it needs it? Better than losing the entire hedge because the inside can't breath!
Why are people still gardening in winter? I guarantee that hedge will die. NEVER touch anything like a hedge in winter. I would tell a potential customer to get stuffed if they asked me to cut a hedge this time of year, and anyone who agrees to do so is ripping people off.
Thanks for the info I enjoy educational videos, plus you get to see it being done, great entertainment also. Have a great day.
😀👍

I'm planning on eating lots this Christmas, so your probably right lol, have a good chr mate 👍
The Genius at work again. It must break your heart though, to see the front of the hedge collapsing like this.
It's a shame, I know it could make a really nice hedge, but if the customer isn't inclined, then it's a case of doing our best at the time, that said still a shame it will get neglected.

Layer cutting 👍👍
Hi Jason just wondering how long did it take you to complete this job? Thanks
How much would you charge for that job?
Sorry but that's private, but what one person would charge, could be totally different to another, but still make same profit 👍
Didn't you have difficulties to breath between that garage and the hedge at the end of the vid?
I always hate breathing in those 2-stroke fumes
Aspen
The ground cloth you use is it a painters cloth or specific for hedges?
any cloth should do the job
I like the beach hedge slow growing

Thank you for your concern, however as in the video, privet is deciduous and now dormant, so best time of year to do a heavy trim
@@jasongardener3425 you can still kill it, but, whatever. Glad you can find gullible customers...
When would u cut a hedge then!?!
