Aaron deserves a bonus for watching blue beetle under those conditions
3:10 most people: I'm not gonna sit next to that guy, he might be crazy.
Aaron: what are you doing sitting next to me? You don't know me. I might be crazy. 💀
I sympathize with that movie theater experience so much
Its crazy, even in mostly empty theaters I still feel wierd moving from the seat I purchased even when people are being disruptive. Also, that girl saw Aaron's golden crown and decided she'd found her king 🤣
Yeah but the people that sat in my seat had no issues
Happy belated 30th birthday Beau!
So far, ive heard great things about the live action One Piece. I was very hesitant, but its slowly been growing on me.
At first i was pissed about the Dune Dulay. But now as a man who lives in Minnesota will be nice to see a desert on a big ass screen in month 8 of desolate winterland nightmare.
WB did the right thing: awareness surveys of Dune2 as of 2 weeks ago were lagging >10 points behind its peers. Dune2 has a lot against it; "part2" in the title, is basically homework for casual audiences. Then there's the first film's reception, while good, not great because it lacked a satisfying climax. Marketing by the cast is NEEDED, especially when you have such a cast. Between Timothee, Zendaya, Pugh and Butler are 0.25 billion followers on Instagram alone, and they're not allowed to mention the film.
Y’all said this WOULDNT get delayed.
They also said spiderman btsv would be released soon.
I will sue
Oooo I hope you guys review the live action one piece
Love the podcast fellas
I'm freaking out! It's Tomorrow! Wheel Of Time season 2 finally drops on Amazon. I'm so excited!
I'm surprised I've never heard you guys talk about Deadwood.
Maybe I just missed it , it was awhile ago.
Getting Beau to watch/read One Piece Day 1: Beau, watch One Piece
There's two sides to the union issues: it's not just the studios, there's some demands on the opposite side that really are "unreasonable"; like residuals. Think about it, all streaming services are losing money, clearly studios haven't figured it out yet. It's not straight forward and quantifiable; right now, Netflix pays a one time fee to have content for 1 year and each year they renegotiate that one time fee; that number is fixed for the year, whether that content gets a billion views or a hundred it's covered by that one time fee. If there were ads that are scaled with the views like on Network TV, then yes, but now there isn't.
They need to agree to higher pays and minimal periods and renegotiate in 3 years when the streaming business model is in a shape where we can start talking about that again.
Thanks for the gambling hotline guys !!
Sigourney Weaver would've killed it in Blue Beetle. The best character in The Defenders.
No Ashoka review? C'mon!!!!!! I thought Beau was a huge fan of Rebels and Clone Wars 🤔
If I took a shot each time aaron said “CHARAhCTER”. I’d be in the emergency room
That’s some good soup.
That gambling advert felt…. Dirty 😕
Hot SOUP!
The fall thing is definitely a thing.
Na too much Snack Zyder hate
I’m losing interest. Dune wasn’t my favorite sci-fi book to begin with. I loved the first movie. But if this drags on for another year, I don’t care how good it is, I’m going to skip it.
Sorry. 🤷🏼♀️
What's your fav
@@3selfI have many favorites. If we’re just talking sci-fi and speculative fiction, I love Le Guin but there aren’t many movies made from her novels. I don’t know, Dune just never resonated much with me. The plot covers too much time. I like the Bene Gesserit but I don’t like them just acting like brood mares when they have so much power. I guess at the bottom of it, the books seemed sexist. Something about the concept never left the 1960s. Good otherwise. I liked the sand worms. but I dunno, it never made it to my top ten.
@@kimhaas7586I feel that you are missing how important the Bene Gesserit actually are in Dune. They have power and use the fact that they are women to gain even more power. The Emperor can’t get any sons because the Bene Gesserit won’t allow it, showing their true power.
@@drewengel7073 They don’t have real power. They don’t rule anything. They’re given to powerful men for breeding purposes. It makes their whole goal in life not to exercise the power they have to organize worlds to suit themselves but to be baby makers with some expectation that in the far future, they will have fulfilled some prophecy. And they’re supposed to be ok with that. 🙄
This book was written from a male perspective when women had barely had access to the pill. Herbert traded one biology is destiny scenario for another. I tried reading Dune again before I saw the movie and the idea that a being as powerful as Jessica is content to be the rented womb of a duke instead of a duchess sua jure is laughable. Dune is dated. No amount of swapping the genders of minor characters is going to change that because the ultimate plot depends on the women in the book going along with it.
It is very much a male fantasy where the man who wrote it couldn’t wrap his head around what generations of women reallu think and experience.
He needed some spice.
I just realized it’s worse than that because doesn’t Princess Irulan slip Chani some contraceptives to keep her from having more children? So, not only are they powerless powerful beings who are used for reproduction but they fulfill the “women backstab other women” thing too.
The cinematography is breathtaking, the world building is astonishing, the cast is perfect. The plot? Ehhhh, not so much.
I’ll pass if it doesn’t come out this year. The idea that having the actors promote this film to be successful is ridiculous. The trailer should be enough for people who like the books and part 1.
Saying that you don’t care how good it is and then you’re going to skip it is wild lmao
Could be THE greatest film ever and you’re just not going to watch it because the studio won’t pay people properly?
