@@HyperFliteDrones The odd thing is I had charged all three batts 3 weeks ago, but the opportunity to fly didn't come. I noticed a week later, they'd all discharged to 2 LEDs (automatically) and having had that happen a year ago, thought nothing of it. Then comes today, and I decided to charge the batteries in preparation for Thursday's boat trip. Tried to plug this one into the charger and felt an odd crunch. No LEDs came on, so it wasn't charging. Pulled the battery. One of the terminals looked like there was an extra (but tiny) sliver of brass next to it sandwiched between the actual contact and the plastic partition. Took the batt into the shop and measured voltage between the pairs of terminals. Most measured 0.09 volts or as much as 0.1 volts. Tried to take the battery apart, removed the two screws but the top would not come off. Paid $165 for this battery in May of 2018. Flew it maybe 30 times last time I checked the charge cycle count. The other two batteries show 4 LEDs on the lifespan test (4 seconds holding the button). I figure the BMS failed. You think you can fix it? But probably not in time for this week's trip.
Great video. My late father left me a Phantom 4. It had never been used. Non the less the battery was completely dead. The whole thing had never been unboxed for a number of years. The controller is fine and charging but as l said the battery doesn't charge. Thankyou for the video which has explained why. I live in Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 I think the cost to repair would be quite expensive with shipping costs and of course the repair. I've decided to buy a replacement battery. Would a battery that has a higher MAh be ok. The original is 5380 l think and the replacement is 5800 MAh. Thankyou. It is a dji phantom 4 pro version battery. Thankyou. Harry from Australia.
what if the battery in spite of only having about 15 charges got a lil swollen....? I stored perfectly fine 1/2 way discharged and wen I went to fly again about 5 months later I found it swollen and dead (no lights)
Why did you not reset the battery. Attach the clip to the negative and then touch it to the reset button. Ive seen this done multiple times on yourube.
I drilled a hole to get to the rest instead of cracking the battery open and after reset it charges for maybe 5 seconds then stops. If you reset it again does the same thing, let's you charge for a few seconds and stops again.
Any chance of doing something similar to Phantom 3 batteries. Probably a different fuel gauge IC. Symptoms are similar, Battery is bricked after one cell goes too low. Balancing and recovering the cell but the battery becomes useless. Be nice to initialize the memory to zero out any failures that were reported..

Hello i have two phantom 3 batteries never use not even first charge any way you can save them
how can i sip my battery to you from Nigeria
Where can I get software
I want to reprogram my dji phantom 3 battery how much does it cost?
Hey I was wondering if you service in Canada or USA?
I service both but the cost for Canadian customers is more due to shipping costs.
@@HyperFliteDronesgreat video thanks, where can I purchase the UBRT software license? I got the TI EV 2300 but don't know a reliable web site to purchase the UBRT software. Thanks
do you still service?
Why would you not put the venom charger in lipo mode? Seems like that’s asking for trouble
I did for the first part because the battery was so low on voltage that the charger won’t let you charger it in lipo mode. After I boosted the battery I then started charging it in lipo mode. I wouldn’t keep charging in nimh mode.
Hello, your work is really great, how could I help you to repair my batteries? I am writing to you from Argentina, Buenos Aires. Unfortunately I only speak Spanish, so I am using a translator to communicate with you. Thanks.
Hello, please contact me via email and I can get a repair quote started for you.

What is the cost of repairing a P4 Pro battery?
hello can i find UBRT 2300 cracked version?
Sorry you have to buy module from Texas Instruments.
I brought my battery out after winter to charge it, battery charged up with all indicator lights on when done charging but when I put in my phantom 4 pro it would not turn the drone on, very confused don’t know if battery went bad or not because it charged up all the way but it won’t turn the drone on after many tries
It could be a issue with the drone.
Thanks for your response, sorry I forgot to mention I tried a different battery and the drone worked fine so I’m thinking the battery I mentioned in my previous message that might be the problem.
Are. You still fixing batteries?
i sent you an email but i didn't received any answer, anyway, i would like to recover my ph4 pro battery and TB50 battery, can you please help me? I have the CP2112 but i don't have that software

Same issue. 2 out of 3
Going on a boat trip in 4 days. Started to charge my 3 p4p Batts. One of them has no lights at all. Unresponsive. Looks like I'm down to 2 batts.
Yep, I can get it fixed
Cracking stuff 👍
I just found a new battery in my closet that I had forgotten about and it will not charge or flash, How can I contact you ?

Yes that battery will work just fine.
hi can you fix my drone battery ?
what if the battery in spite of only having about 15 charges got a lil swollen....? I stored perfectly fine 1/2 way discharged and wen I went to fly again about 5 months later I found it swollen and dead (no lights)
If it is heavily swollen I would just get rid of it. I’ve had a few swollen ones that actually went back to normal after a proper charge.
where buy the case battery??
I sell them
I have three I need repaired.
Message me at hyperflite11@gmail.com
Hello, does the MSP430 controller (EV2400 mini) work?
I do not know.
Sent you a msg on your website, p4p white battery with this issue here as well.
Why did you not reset the battery. Attach the clip to the negative and then touch it to the reset button. Ive seen this done multiple times on yourube.
I tried, it doesn’t work
I drilled a hole to get to the rest instead of cracking the battery open and after reset it charges for maybe 5 seconds then stops. If you reset it again does the same thing, let's you charge for a few seconds and stops again.

@@HyperFliteDrones I sent you an email actually.
Hello brother, can you give me a address to repair battery drone 4 please, thanks
Hi can you reprogram help me for this battery please, address please
Any chance of doing something similar to Phantom 3 batteries. Probably a different fuel gauge IC. Symptoms are similar, Battery is bricked after one cell goes too low. Balancing and recovering the cell but the battery becomes useless. Be nice to initialize the memory to zero out any failures that were reported..
I think I can do it. If you want to send your batteries in I can give it a try
I’ll be making a video later this week on that
@@HyperFliteDrones I will be looking forward to the video. Doing second discharge cycle and cells are good enough to fix. I will be sending it to you.
I found an accidental trick to make them charge again, I connected wrong the multi to it and put them back to the charger and it did now works normal
I don’t even own a drone
What am I doing here
This was a damn good video though
VERY INFORMATIVE
why are you not using the reset button on the battery? just jumper the reset button and the battery minus.
It will not work.
Will be sending you an email for repair.
Thanks !
How you doing. Do you have an Email, i wanto to know if you can help me with something.
I’ll check. Thanks

Hello, i have 3 brand new batteri who wont charge..
Hello would you like to get them repaired ?
@@HyperFliteDrones yes, they are new, they hold voltage just fine so cells are wery good i think, only the dji board screw it
Are you in the U.S.
@@HyperFliteDrones dji arranged retur label for me, maby im lucky this time
That’s Monopolistic Capitalism for you! 👍🏿If I have three extra dollars, the Corporation’s always wants One More Dollar 🤣😈
Fantastic explanation - but the music isn't necessary and so repetitive! Thanks again.
Too bad I can't send it, shipping costs would be higher then a new battery... that's just pathetic for something that costs that much money, last time I buy something from dji or the drone market.
If you are in the U.S. there are cost effective methods.
