- Hello everyone and thanks for watching! Today’ I've reached a milestone… I finished my art journal ‘Home’, just before we will be traveling again! In this video I’ll be chatting about what it’s like to say goodbye to an art journal. I’ll be showing you the final adjustments, some pages I haven’t shown before and… how I repaired the cover of this art journal, which was completely broken, because my book became too thick!
First I'd like to show you some of the changes I made to some of my art journal pages.

- Pattern landscape
- Hands - Seb's hand (Thank you dear Seb for that wonderful day painting together!)
- Indian Rose - roses

- The final page
This was really a great art journal to work in, especially when I came at three quarter of the book…
I was really getting into the flow from creating the style pages and spring pages… I found my true colours when working on the zero waste pages and gelli print pages.
Some of my other favourite pages are the shoe page and the Japanese pages.
I had one more challenge before I could call this book done. I had to fix the cover. Normally I have to repair the covers of the books. I work in them so much and they are usually damaged on the spine and there are many paint blobs on the cover. Here are some art journals that I’ve been making. The cover shows a bit of the content, it’s a collection of highlights… from patterns, from cats, from everything that was the most precious I put on the front. But for this one I decided to use just fabric.
This one was harder to repair… Not only was the spine completely broken, the front of the book had come loose. I thought it was best to remove the carton of the book and replace it by a more flexible carton…. Very tricky, but I had no choice.
Now it’s really time to say farewell to this art journal, which was a very nice journey. I’ve been working for a year in this book, so it can be hard to start a new one, with a new energy… but I’m also looking forward to that.

Merci encore pour votre gentil commentaire ! Seb est notre petit-fils ! C'est en fait très sympa que vous ne puissiez pas choisir une page préférée ;) Je suis très heureuse que vous les aimiez toutes et j'espère aussi que vous créerez également de belles histoires dans votre art. Nous sommes actuellement déjà en France, dans l'Aveyron et c'est vraiment fantastique ! Je donne ici des ateliers de peinture pendant une semaine sur un beau domaine, constitué d'un domaine ancien mais restauré. Il fait beau et tout le monde passe un bon moment et travaille sur de grandes choses dans son propre journal artistique. Cordialement et bisous d'Anthony et moi ! Luz

Great suggestion! But actually... I don't bind these books myself... these are from the Ranger brand, it's called Dina Wakley. I would love to bind my own, since the Dina Wakley books will not be available anymore soon. So, as soon as I know how to do, I'll show it! Thanks for your compliments and keep on watching! Your journal is absolutely beautiful! I also love the size and the pages, do you make your art journals? If so what paper do you use and how do you make them? Have you done a tutorial about making them? Anyway, I love them, they are sooo beautiful 😊
Thank you very much! Until now I've been using the Dina Wakley art journals from the brand Ranger. But I need to be making my own soon, since Ranger stopped producing these wonderful art journals unfortunately... They only produce the Dina Wakley range with only Kraft paper pages. So you can be expecting a video in the near future about making your own journals.
