A totally different set of rules - and skills - than flying here in the USA. I know I never learned the skills that you demonstrate every video, and I have a commercial/instrument ticket with thousands of hours (single engine Piper Arrow III). I don't think I would have, could have, imagined being that close to terrain and clouds on an everyday occurance. I really admire both your flying skills, judgement and videography. 🛩👍

Thanks. It is normal to feel uncomfortable with terrain and clouds at first, bit after you see how they move and operate here, you eventually get used to them and just work with them

@@MissionaryBushPilot Always great to watch your videos, I also fly. It's a crazy idea, but it would be so much fun to pack up my VR Flight sim gear including solar panels etc and set it up in a little shack in one of the villages you fly to. Can you imagine the awe and smiles of local kids piloting the MSFS2020 Kodiak in VR, departing and landing at their airstrip, or exploring the rest of the world in MSFS... Stay safe, blue skies !

That’s not poverty. They have fertile fields and crops and the children do not look malnourished. Provided the community is good, they may be better off than many with more possessions. Health is probably a challenge when things go wrong, of course, which is why the clinic is important and why access to hospitals through the plane service is probably a great blessing.

The fact that people can trust you to hold on to cash for them, knowing that you'll give it back, is a precious gift both ways. Having done missionary work in Haiti, Mexico and Guatemala, I was struck by how much effort was expended in Haiti, especially, because of the desperation of the poor being so acute that they would steal anything they could whenever they could. The entire hospital compound in Haiti was surrounded by a fourteen foot tall solid concrete wall with a serious gate to prevent theft. The riverbank was dominated by hospital gowns with the name of the hospital being used as day to day clothing by many people. In Guatemala it was quite different, probably because their culture was not destroyed by the conquest. There was great poverty but more ethical behavior in general.

I'm not sure how he's able to climb into that Caravan or how he doesn't exceed the maximum gross weight with those balls of steel he carries around..... I've absolutely got to tip my hat to this guy for flying in such dangerous and unpredictable weather and terrain. Not many people could... He's literally a lifeline for these people. Must be a really satisfying job, knowing he's helping these isolated communities. Much respect!!!

Ouf wow overwhelming video. Human. You are going so over and above it’s insane…direct ticket to heaven!!!! Bravo for what you do on the human side. And as a pilot. 10/10!!!!! You are used to it to some extent. But living in Montreal, watching this just brings it all down to how lucky we are or whatever way we say it (I am French) in English. If you ever make it here, DM me hahahaha. I have a small Piper Warrior and we can go around here with your family hahahaha. My wife and I will take you around town. Learning a lot as well with your videos. Merci!!!

Cessna Caravan is such a great plane for this specialized type of flying. It's like a flying U-Haul truck and Bus combo.

      This isn't a Cessna Caravan, it's a Quest Kodiak
