    Hey Andrew, With FL getting so much rain, have you ever thought of building a rainwater collection system to supply your future cabin? A rain roof could serve multiple purposes-carport, place to park your RV under to protect the roof, solar roof, add’l firewood storage roof, etc. You’d be surprised how quickly a tank fills up.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  Месяц назад

      That might could be an option.

    You are correct about the GFI receptacles. Our GFI tripped in the master bath and all the receptacles in our bedroom died as a result. I reset the GFI and power was restored to our bedroom as well.

In fact I suspect you have prevented quite a few of your followers from getting hurt while working with electrical. Another great job Andrew.

    maybe you can have an RV black water dump fitting installed near your septic system so you can dump the black and gray tanks by just moving the RV a few yards. Hope you get good water also

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  Месяц назад

      I got an above ground tank and will have a local company pump for now. It's worth it as I don't have power to the blower pump on the septic right now.

    Good stuff happening Andrew,
    That little harbor freight pump with tank would work good for your well, just flush it out first with a jet on a trash pump and clean water. Ours is over 10 years old.. nice job on the electrical. Merry Christmas to you guys ❤

    Put a galvanized pipe on the end of an air hose and drop it into the well and blow it out with a large air compressor. Let it run a while and it should clean right up. Thats what we used to do when I drilled water wells.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  Месяц назад +1

      Can't get a large compressor over there, I'll have to stick with water.

  • @chrisavila2073

    We have a problem over there !!! Everytime you flipped the breakers the lights in my house went on and off 😱😱😱

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  Месяц назад

      Thats creepy lol

  • @waylonhartwell
    @waylonhartwell Месяц назад +1

    It would make a fun video, but you can use a air compressor with a rigid pipe and shove it down that well. Then connect the air compressor to the rigid pipe and hold the pipe so it doesn't blow itself out of the well and it will blast all the crud out of the well. You'll get covered in a whole bunch of crap, but it'll work really Good to break up any sediment and it will blast it out of there. But I would suggest unscrewing the pipe right at ground level and doing it to get the best maximum effect to airlift everything out of there. The other option is to research airlift pumps and build your own and try to air lift pump. Everything out of there it's a bit slower but it does work quite Good to remove sediment from a well

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  Месяц назад

      That's a great idea, thanks! I believe flushing with water will be my best option since everything is so secluded out there.

    Hey Andrew, so looking forward to seeing this whole property buildout! One question on what you were doing in this video- do you think if there was water intrusion in that outlet right next to the breaker box that there could be standing water inside that cable insulation that makes a U shape down from the receptacle back to the breaker box? Seems worth a check!

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  Месяц назад +1

      Yes it is for sure possible, I hope there is no Conduit underground and it's just uf wire.

  • @fillg

    Hey Andrew, at 19:42 you stuck your electric probe in the neutral side of that receptacle and it beeped. Does yours normally do that? Mine only beeps if I stick it in the hot side of a receptacle or on a hot wire. If that's normal for yours, carry on, but if you're not 100% sure you might want to check that receptacle with a multimeter.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  Месяц назад

      Yes, if you get within an inch of any hot wire it beeps. It was picking up the other side.

    How wide and deep is the river there? Can you put a boat dock in?

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  Месяц назад +1

      Roughly 30-50ft wide at points. We are looking into permits for a dock. The river stays shallow, but we are fortunate to have a 12ft deep area in front of the property.
