Looking good, Andrew. That was a heap of work. The equipment pays for itself with every job and makes it look east, which I know it's not. I'm excited to see things come along.
Merry Christmas and God’s blessings for you and Tiffany! Wishing you guys a wonderful holiday season and continued growth and prosperity in the upcoming year!🎉
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. Mine will be much better since Dad got to come back to the care center today so prayers were answered! Still not 100% but happy to have him home.
I could watch you do this all day. I watched you get some of the tractors, buckets, etc and I love how much your skills have grown over time. Good job! There isn't anything you can't drive, run, etc. Merry Christmas.
Just a tip and someting to take into consideration. When securing a machine on a trailer, I always learned that securing for the forward and backward movement needs to be done with separate chains or ratchet straps, one on each side. This is to ensure that in the event of one of the tie-down points fails from a broken strap or chain or ratchet, or when it simply was not secured well (which happens more often than you expect) there is always the other tie-down point to keep the machine from moving in the direction you don't want. The way you tie down your machines with a chain over or through the machine, if the chain fails, or the hook/d-ring on the trailer or the ratched, now the machine is no longer secured in that direction. This is extra important for the tie-downs in the rear because these endure the biggest forces in case of an emergency stop or even a crash into a car or obstacle as these are there to stop your machine from carrying on its forward motion and crashing into your truck. I would not like to see the cabin crushed with the bucket of the excavator as it barrels forward in case of a crash.
That's a good point and valid, but not required on any machine under 10,000lbs per DOT regulations. With that said, it doesn't hurt to practice overdoing.
That property definitely has the old Florida feel with all of the saw palmetto bushes, pines and oak trees. It’s close to what it all looked like all over back when Ponce De Leon first stepped foot into Florida back in 1513. There is a formula you can use to gauge the age of the palmettos by the root length. Do a google search for the age of saw palmettos and you will find some interesting information. You likely have some on your property well over 100 old or greater. Some across the state are thought to be well over 800 years old. Y’all are blessed to have been able to get beautiful property.
@@TKCL Yeah!!! I'm starting on 3 acres old mobile homestead just outside of N.Mytrle Beach SC. Good thing all utilities in place and flat, high just trees on perimeter took me years to find the right property. I just bought 7 ton excavator I'll get alot done in my off season this Spring and summer!!!!
Merry Christmas TKCL! Great video! I’m right there with you on having a smaller 25hp 4x4 tractor. What a versatile piece of equipment! Oh and that landscape rake is the cat’s meow!
Merry Christmas Andrew and Tiffany. Those annoying palmettos that's growing back where you're going to put the camper can be easily taken care of by drilling a hole and pouring regular salt into it.
So many questions going through my head right now! First off, merry Christmas to you and your family! When you were taking down that big tree around that 22 minute mark, why did you decide to take it up by the roots instead of using the chain saw to cut it down and then dealing with digging up the root ball after? Was it for ease of taking it down and then cutting it up? Also, great job on getting that dirt filled root ball into the trailer! Ha! Video suggestion since you mentioned how much mileage you were going to be putting on the trailer, how often do you check over your trailers and what do you do to service them to get ready for a job like this! Would love to see how you maintain your trailering equipment! Can’t wait to see this property spring to life as you make a nice little get away area! Keep up the amazing and informative videos! Love you guys!
I took that stump out because it's going to be in the general area we will be setting a barn post. I might as well get it all gone. As for the trailers, I don't have a set schedule and I should. After several hundred miles or sitting for months I like to go over tire pressures and check the axle grease. I don't pump more in until I see open pockets or voids needing a grease fill. That or after a couple thousand miles I'll pump in regardless.
@@TKCLIf you haven’t done it since buying it, now that you need to retorque the lug nuts. It’s crazy how much they loosen up after the first couple hundred miles.
It looks great! I'd like to know how long it takes you to drive from the main house to the river property. I noticed your signature Oak tree looks good, and I hope it overcomes the damage caused when the trunk split.
Oak it OK at the moment, time will tell. There are a couple of ways to drive to the new property, it's roughly 30 minutes or less depending on the route.
Hi Andrew, Great work on the property cleanup. I just purchased the GMC AT4 version of your Chevrolet pickup and want to put a tonneau cover on it. I see you have one on yours and I like the looks of it. Do you like yours and would you recommend it to me? Would you tell me the manufacturer and model if it is a good one? I trust your opinion on what I should purchase. Thanks brother, I love your videos and learn so much. I have been a KCL fan since the ice machine videos. Merry Christmas to you and your bride.
I’m interested to know too. Have a 2019 GMC 3500HD that we tow a 5th with and I’ve been keeping my eye out for one that won’t interfere with turning the beast because my wife does most of the driving (I’m disabled) and refused to get a long bed dually so with the standard 6.5’ bed, turning gets awful tight when backing it up.
You have to get Tiffany on the machinery the job will go twice as fast. My wife and I built a house together she would run and have my tools and machines except the chainsaw lol Merry Christmas to you and your family keep up the great videos.
Several reasons, I have an abundance of oak, pine is sticky to work with, gunks up my saw, splitter ect. It also burns quick being a soft wood and the bark goes everywhere making a mess when dry. It's OK for a fire pit as it burns hot, but I prefer oak or cherry for all the other reasons.
540 RPM as designed. Your perception is skewed by camera frame rate. I can record a helicopter and almost make the blades look still with certain frame rates.
