On who's dime? I'm not willing to pay with my tax dollars to fix their neighborhood. Also, what isn't being mentioned is that the woman has sold her home and moved from the area.

$250 per day is a joke. And not overly enforceable. HOA should build a drainage system with multiple drains for redundancy.

Shouldn’t the concrete company also be liable? They should’ve known better then to comply with the home owner and pour concrete down the drain. 🧐

It's on her property so I'm not sure what they were supposed to know.

I could be miataken, but to my knowledge, she did either had it approved by the city or did the work herself through multiple bags.

Her house would have a mysterious fire

Fire is too good for her - insurance would probably buy her a new home. This house needs to be infested with mold (usually not covered by insurance) & kept moist.

Is there an HOA? Why isn't the HOA suing her after she was found in contempt of court? Each of the residents in the complex can sue her for water damage to their properties due to her negligence too.

    • @JohnVeritas

Can't sue her as she no longer lives in the neighborhood. She sold her home, and they didn't act to put a lein on the sale of the home before it was transferred, which is about all they could do at the time.

The only reason why they are giving this woman so much gdace is the fact that she is a retired sherrif's deputy. Let this be Paul the senior manager at Chase or something and this would have been fixed MONTHS ago.

There is no easement on the man's private property for a city drainage line. Who fault for a drainage line on private property, the city. The property owner may take in higher court, of floods his property.
