I wanted to give the Fake ECW or as I like to call it, WWECW a chance, but I didn't like it. I enjoyed the first ECW: One Night Stand, it was nice seeing the original extreme gang back together!!
Oh hell no.
It started out okay but it was more to put new talent over and anybody thinking different was kidding themselves . Liked the ppvs but the tv show lacked severely . OG ECW over that wannabe garbage any day .
those ONS shows are exactly why people need to catch shows live. Craziness happens and a lot of it has been edited since.
It should have been a one and done….

Hurts my head how they actually thought for one minute that the fake ECW was actually going to work and be accepted. I’m sure they just wanted to piss people off 😵💫😂
Even if Paul's ECW was still going he would have had to tone down the product after awhile. You can burn out an audience on a wrestling style after awhile. You're seeing it now with AEW now. Just replace Hardcore wrestling for the Trampoline, No selling, Lucha Libre cosplays that they do.
How do you think the talent felt? We were told one thing and they did something completely different.
The difference with ECW and today’s product is we had compelling storylines. We kept fans invested. It wasn’t just a spotfest.

ONS 2005 was just a great show top to bottom. 06 was good but they probably should have just left it alone after that. The weekly show was definitely a show that existed.
The weekly show sucked. It should have never been called ECW.

I was there Ringside for Hardcore Homecoming, One Night Stand 2005, and November Reign. As an ECW diehard, this was my closure. WWECW was a disaster.

Yea, WWECW was bad. It was a shell of it's former self. As a WWE broadcast, it was decent and if it didn't have the ECW brand name, it would have not been as bad. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.

I went to the first one and worked with Beulah in 05. This was the 2nd show in 2006.

I stopped watching the WWE ECW after the first episode. It was awful.
Smart move. I thought it was going to be all extreme rules but that wasn't the case. The new breed sucked too. Only highlight was Dreamer winning the belt but even that too deep into the WWE ECW run.
I was there and I hardly watched it lol
