Did anyone else realize that in that final dream sequence they were playing music from the ending of the original CARRIE film that leads into "Sue's Nightmare"? That's how I knew not to trust it. Great classic horror callback by Tim Burton.
First off, Andrew's cosplay is so good. Secondly, so is this sequel. I was worried Beetlejuice would get too much screen time get old after a while, but I'm glad they realized he works best in small doses. Micheal Keaton still nails the performance.
STOPP WHY DID I THINK HE WAS A PHOTO FROM THE MIVIE IN THE THUMBNAIL AND. MY JAW DROPPED I LEGIT THOUGHT THAT WAS ACTUALLY MICHAEL KEATON 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 this is AMAZING LOOOOOLL
God damn great beetlejuice impression !!!! Tara I was missing you on the Terrifier reaction but to have you on this makes up for it and takes this as the compliment it's meant but you look amazing today with your make and hair great reaction guys
Andrew is the goat for this. Also, Aaron hit the nail on the head. This sequel felt like a handful of scenes that I enjoyed rather than a project that I enjoyed as a whole
Disappointed. The whole part about the ex-wife could have been cut and nothing would have changed. They definitely could have just focused on Lydia trying to save her daughter. (However I did enjoy the shark attack animation. Unexpected but fun.)
Andrew played this so smart. His cosplay and impression is very impressive, especially the impression. But if he kept up the act the whole time, it would have gotten old. I’ve seen it before. Andrew knew when to use his talents and when to dial it back. Perfect balance of everything :)
The end dream sequence where Astrid was getting married and having a baby is the same music used in the 1976 movie Carrie when Sue was dreaming at the end and Carrie's hand pops up from the grave.
Barbara and Adam’s story was a great plot in Beetlejuice and they were such a loveable couple, but I understand why they weren’t in The movie. Tim explained it was because he wasn’t stop take the story in a different direction, but Geena Davis had a better explanation; it’s cause ghosts don’t age lol.
Andrew, the commitment to sell the bit. Chefs Kiss. There was a couple times the spell really worked and I was watching the ACTUAL BEETLEJUICE react to the movie. It was great.
Andrew, funny thing is as soon as you went back to your regular voice I realized it's not too different from Michael Keaton's regular voice. But none the less great job with the beetlejuice impersonation!
My theory: in the movie Casper, ghosts/spirits, "living impaired" have unfinished business with the living. If her mom can't see her dad it's probably 'cause he's at peace.
Fun fact despite the fact that you feel like Beetlejuice was in this movie more then the first movie he is in the sequel for the exact same amount of time as the first. JUSTICE FOR BOB!!!
I think that you can explain the main plot in a sentence :'Lydia Deetz's skeptic daughter is tricked by a charming ghost into swaping her life for his, so Lydia decides to ask Beetlejuice for help knowing what this could mean'. The rest is setting the scene, world building or just plain extra stuff. Delores is a cool character but sadly, the movie would be the exact same without her. Also Beetlejuice does not appear more in this movie, if I'm not mistaken, one of Michael Keaton's conditions to come back was precisely to have about the same screentime as in the first movie.
They had so many ideas, they should have made two movies. Have this first sequel focus on Jeremy and Rory as the villains, with Rory getting eaten by a sandworm at the end. Then have the next movie be dead Rory teaming up with Delores. By having only two villains per film, the characters would have had way more room to breathe. As it is, Delores felt totally wasted here.
I was hoping the animated series was gonna be canon. I always thought Beetlejuice's partnership with Lydia was a way of community service for what he did.
The movie itself is so so, but the REACTION ITSELF is pure freaking gold! It also makes me feel like you guys missed an opportunity to have Coy Jandreau in full Deadpool cosplay for the Deadpool & Wolverine reaction.
@@michaelglover5474 what about Lydia? She went from the Queen of the Goths to….THIS. Hell Delia asks what the heel happened to that girl. And don’t get me started on that incredibly abrupt and mediocre ending with the dream within a dream.
NGL the ending with Lydia signing off from Ghost House got me emotional and up till now I never knew why - I figured it was just the line she delivered or even the music (which I learned was the theme from Carrie) But really in just the cadence how she speaks is so reminiscent of when she was grandma Kim in Edward Scissorhands which was soo long ago and it hit me in the feels
Brilliant way Tim Burton brought back Charles Deetz without the actor. The character's death was inspired by a nightmare of Burton's about his own death.
I definitely liked Andrew's pitch better than the completed film (not that I disliked the film, but Andrew's pitch sounded way more connected to the original film and the characters).
My theory for how the Maitlands moved on - their "Unfinished Business" was probably related to not having a family, so seeing Lydia bring home her daughter (so their surrogate granddaughter) likely made them feel like their business was complete.
Ok am I the only one who thought it was Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice voice in the film when it was really Andrew providing commentary? This was awesome and I think I speak for everyone when I say great job 👏
Favorite scene was when Astrid goes to Jeremys' house on Halloween and Sigur Ros is playing in the background and they are floating after Astrid finds out Jeremy has been a ghost this whole time! Funny enough my name is Jeremy and my friends name is Astrid! I never thought I would hear a Sigur Ros song in a freakin' Tim Burton film!!
Think yall made really great, valid points bout this movie in ur review! I saw this in theater w my kids & yes we all enjoyed it, but i did find myself thinking at times did we really need this or that? Dont get me wrong, it was still a fun time. Great acting, great effects. I grew up watching first movie sooo much as a kid & teen and i loved the animated series! This will still be fun to rewatch. My kids really enjoyed all the Bobs and other characters❤💞❤️
Woah Andrew! Nice costume my dude :) and great impression too! I was a bit nervous when they first announced the sequel but i'm glad it turned out to be a very good film! It still has the charm of the first one and Michael Keaton absolutely killed it!
Plus Wynonna Ryder and Michael John Douglas aka Michael Keaton 😅 Catherine O'Hara are legendary!! Unfortunately Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis didn't return for the sequel. Jeffrey Jones also didn't reprise his role as Charles Deetz due to his controversial legal history..
I enjoyed the sequel, but it definitely didn't live up to the original. There are just too many plot points that lead no where, felt like this movie was meant to lead to a third more than a proper sequel. Michael Keaton and Catherine O'Hara were tremendous, Winona Ryder felt like she was forcing it, Jenna Ortega didn't really have a whole lot to do till pretty much the last half of the movie. The music number at the end just went on for far too long. It's still a good movie, just not as rewatchable as the original.
Yeah, i generally agree with you, the movie was okay but it wasnt amazing like the first, oh well, it did have some fun moments at least, it wasn't terrible anyway.
42:22 I wonder if the dead Santa Claus guy is a reference to that urban legend where the guy dresses up as Santa to surprise his family Christmas morning only to die when he gets stuck in the chimney.
This is one of those rare sequels that actually manages to live up to the greatness of the original. Micheal Keaton's still got it, and so does everyone else who came back for this one.
If I had a nickel every time a Tim Burton movie had the saddest death be a villain sidekick named Bob..... I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Astrid’s boyfriend definitely gave off Joe vibes from “You”, which funny enough Jenna Ortega was also in. But everything from the vibe to the look was Joe.
Loved the reaction guys, the first Beetlejuice is better imho. Keep pitching Andrew, liked the idea. I feel like John Wick's not the best for the cameo 🤔
Once you recognize the background music during the last sequence, you know what is coming. It is the music at the nightmare scene at the end of Carre (1975). That is what it is a reference to.
This is cool. I actually saw it yesterday in the cinema. I prefer to have very few people in the cinema. So I went as late as possible. Was the last showing yesterday at my local cinema. Absolutely loved it. Such a great sequel
I've watched this channel for years and never commented but I gotta give it up to Andrew wow! FAN! TASTIC! Always down for a "TAARON" reaction but this was pretty, prettty, pretttty, pretty good. Had me smiling, great job guys 👏🏾
First off two videos in one day what did do to deserve this! Second off I loved this movie only one I saw twice this year. Third off Halloween twinses that’s my costume sir and why is this so attractive 🙃 and so well played!

Maybe you should react The Omen franchise from 1976
That would make an amazing part 3 to end the trilogy for real! Seriously, you need to reach out to Tim Burton and hope something comes from it.
A horrible Beetlejuice....
Did anyone else realize that in that final dream sequence they were playing music from the ending of the original CARRIE film that leads into "Sue's Nightmare"? That's how I knew not to trust it. Great classic horror callback by Tim Burton.
Dude Andrew crushed it with that performance his Beetlejuice is perfect! Great reaction guys!!
I was just about to say his voice is perfect it sounds EXACTLY like him
Andrew deserves RUclips Oscar for this incredible act🔥🔥🔥
That's who I thought it was. The intro alone was incredible
I like Andrew. he didn’t over do it just went back n forth from beetlejuice to being himself
That’s literally beetlejuice
I can’t believe you got Beetlejuice himself to watch this with you
My jaw dropped when his opened….. eerily accurate
I was annoyed by the voice before the movie started.

I actually was a tiny bit disappointed with it
Yeah i was also disappointed, but its fun. Prolly just need to watch it more
@@emosam07
Nah. Watching it more won’t change what went wrong.
And for a second I thought its a new girl because of Tara s new haircut.
And a three note historical moment the only time he has trousers(pants) on
Andrew absolutely nailed His Beetlejuice!
Down to the outfit, makeup, jokes and impression!
11/10! The reaction was pretty good too!

Whaddya think, kids? Did Beetlejuice Beetlejuice live up to the first?? And what was your FAVORITE Moment???
I liked this movie just as much as the first one, just as weird 😅 best part for me is when Beetlejuice starts his back story in Italian 😊
It was okay but nothing spectacular, that song at the end though was so romantic, wish Lydia and Beetlejuice ended up together.
The film was nowhere near the first, but it was okay IG, best part for me was the "later fucker" scene.
Not as good as the 1st one, but still enjoyable. Favorite part: Baby Beetlejuice!
Disappointed. The whole part about the ex-wife could have been cut and nothing would have changed. They definitely could have just focused on Lydia trying to save her daughter.

my fav part
I believe it was Doetevsky who said, "later fckuer." 😂 Best line ever 🤣🤣🤣

Something a bit more cheery after the gore 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Immediately liked this video OMG SUCH A GOOD BEETLEJUICE IMPRESSION! Amazing outfit just 11/10
Andrew, absolutely loved you as the ghost with the most!!! You have made this one of my favorite reactions ever!!!
Andrew’s Intro was so smooth!! “I Wear A Mask And That Mask Is Not To Hide Who I Am But To Create What I Am.”
Andrew “Flash” Gordon!!
That’s great. So amazing Andrew committed so hard. That’s entertainment!!
I think crashing into the tree ignited Astrid’s paranormal sense. The first person she sees after her near-death experience is a ghost
I laughed so hard when he came out as Beetlejuice 😅😂😂😂 SPOT ON! Now I want Beetlejuice to react to movies or shows 😅
My theory: in the movie Casper, ghosts/spirits, "living impaired" have unfinished business with the living. If her mom can't see her dad it's probably 'cause he's at peace.
