I miss NZ. I lived in the north island for a couple of years, and now I am back in the states and if my bank account agreed with my dreams I'd be back in NZ tomorrow.
Mullet wasn't built for that much, you know it, he knows it, we know it. But it was definitely fun to watch. That thing went faster than it ever should have. lol
The part they left out is that the damage was already started to the chassis before they put the smx in is why they weren’t worried about it messing the chassis up
Man if you saw under the body on some of the no prep "pro mods" and NPK cars... The fact that they even stay together and sit level is wild. Mullets biggest issue was the whole jet car thing and the way it was originally setup. Then they changed the wheelbase back but left the rear end and a lot of the bars. Plus it was designed for an LS. Then they street drove it thousands of miles and kept putting heavier engines in it and basically doubling the horsepower. It running low 7s and high 6s after doing a drag and drive is almost a miracle but the lack of being built right or overbuilt is kinda normal. It was a hell of a lot of fun to watch! Eagle seems to be getting the chassis and engine it deserves right off rip so I doubt he will out power the chassis. I just wish he was doing a screw blower or crank driven charger. Too much twin turbos, they have more problems with elevation and there's a handful of other reasons most of the really competitive cars swapped to superchargers.
Yep, the change from the Jet was a big step... but at the time it didn't seem like much of an issue to leave the other bars, but now trying to get the last out of it all the small things make a difference.
The thing is, Cleetus is all about drama, and this is just more of it. The car was never meant to have that much power in it, and it really isn't built to be that car either. In essence, Mullet is suppose to be kind of the very edge of being a street car. It isn't a plastic body faker, it is (mostly) a real car with a nice chassis under it. It is a car that can actually drive down the road seriously. However, when you drag and drive against guys running pro-mods with plates on them, you win only when they break. So he is in a pretty crappy spot. it would take probably another 1000-1500hp extra to make up what he is losing by being a real honest to god streetable car. In essence, Steve has the same problem with the wagon, but is overcoming most of it. Garrett isn't going to get there will Mullet, sadly.
@@turbocateyeS475Yes I agree with your points but the eagle is going to be a quarter mile car and not beats the horsepower of twin turbos in the quarter mile that's why he's running turbos setup just like Mark Mickey and Turbo Todd Moyer the two fastest pro mods in the history of pro mods! So now you know why he's doing it the way he is!

I had a customer with a 911 that had sat for 16 years in his mother's garage. It had no miles on it and was perfect, except for the fact it wasn't cared for before or during the time it was sitting. Besides the tires being massively flat spotted and dry rotted, it had 17 gallons of gas in the tank. After emptying the tank and replacing the fuel level sensor, we had to replace some oil hoses and whatnot. The power window relays were a little sticky the first few times we tried them, but started working again. The biggest issue were the fuel injectors. All 6 were stuck closed. Why the boss was checking on new ones, I decided to see if I could break them loose, but pushing on the pintle with my fingernail. All 6 broke loose, I put them back in, and it fired right up. It ran like a dream. It's the newest, by mileage, 911 that I ever drove, considering I've driven 911's a decade newer with much higher mileage.

Well Steve, After watching the valley field race on u tube this past weekend. Im assuming the problems and issues taking place in the two countries these past years to date has had a major impact on the boat racing field I'm sorry to say. The race was nothing in comparison to what it was 10 years ago. Hopefully it will come back together as soon as balance and forward momentum starts pushing forward again this year. Anyway we'll just keep holding in the middle with our foot to the floor till it rebounds. Good luck brother 🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯🇺🇸🙏🙏 The new chassis is looking beautiful. I think you can strap in to that mother, get tossed off of Mt McKinley, and walk away with a dizzy spell. 😮😅😅😅😅 Beautiful work..
It's going to be close. It'll all come down to traction. I assume the wagon has a longer wheelbase which might make it easier to put the power down but the new car is probably going to be lighter so I don't know.

Now we know why Steve employs Nate :)
That is one awesome car. I would have thought it would have been lighter then what you said. In 2002 I had my 1970 pro mod built all Is Chrome Molly cage I had a bbc BDS blown Injection alcohol 1271 I was running 7.62@165 with out legs . Car with me 2650 pounds. I of very few with out legs above the knees drag race an run that fast. I miss it. Thing are so different now. I can't wait for the car to run. Love it.I owned 5 cars. Raced just for fun. I love the way you show the way you cars are built.
My neck hurts
😭😭😭
I was hoping to see the SML in Val’s car. I just thought it would be a great engine for that car. I’m sure the SMX will kick ass in it too.
Sam is the man!
Seems like Steve has found his chassis builder, crazy what Kevin knows off top of his head. One heck of a fabricator/chassis builder. Would froth to see someone run one of these chassis in raw finish, show off all his talent❤
Granted the SMX didn't work out so well on that chassis, it's still a huge compliment when the only complaint is the engine makes too much power. 🙌
The You Tube world has brought so many great people and minds together!! Please Please keep up this Content!!! So nice to see Kevin Y'all together .... Include all ya can when possible! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!!
Scotty from Canyon Lake TX💪💪 PS collaborations are the best!!
Kevin looks like the “would ya look at this” guy 🤣🤣
I love Kevin's style and his attention to detail with everything he builds! I'm glad he is getting the recognition he deserves on this one! this Camaro is going to be a bad Mother Trucker!
I hope I'm anywhere near as cool as Sam at 80
With High Expectations come with Freedom of choice .. Life goes on ! Thanks Steve
Had to flip my tv sideways a couple times but still a good video
Well Steve,
After watching the valley field race on u tube this past weekend.
Good luck brother 🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯🇺🇸🙏🙏
The new chassis is looking beautiful.
I think you can strap in to that mother, get tossed off of Mt McKinley, and walk away with a dizzy spell. 😮😅😅😅😅
Beautiful work..
Yeah, looks like Val's camaro is gonna be quicker than Steve's wagon.....
It's going to be close. It'll all come down to traction. I assume the wagon has a longer wheelbase which might make it easier to put the power down but the new car is probably going to be lighter so I don't know.
