I gotta be honest, at first i thought people were overreacting...but then i saw the first episode and finally understood why...truely a cinematic masterpiece of an anime
Please at least continue after the anime is finished airing. The dating show arc which covers the media backlash and cancel culture even from small things, aswell as the stage play arc which has a lot of character development for Kana and Aqua are both amazing.
I feel like the pivotal point of why it got popular was just ai’s death. They made the scene so well, they made it so you got attached with ai and when she dies many people were sad or distraught at the fact that she just dies. The show over all is pretty alright but I think that scene alone is what drove its popularity in my opinion
They just did a really good job with the pilot episode, which is why the show did really well. If the pilot was just up until Gorou's death it would not have gotten fans anywhere.
As a manga reader I never expected this much hype and I'm all for it, but I completely understand people wouldn't like the following episodes if the series hasn't hooked you because right now the main characters haven't been developed much, and this is a very character driven show.
the problem with it being in anime form is that it just comes out too slow. we'll have 11 episodes, everyone will forget about it for like a year until the next season comes out, by which point half the viewers of the show will've disappeared. oshi no ko is a very hard manga to put down because every single chapter flows directly into the next one, and when you have a 1 week or more break between each 20 minute episode it just doesn't work as well. just reading all 116 chapters of oshi no ko back to back was one of the best experiences with manga i've ever had, and i don't think the anime will ever really be able to capture that, until its finished of course, or until the license expires and we have a Bunny Girl Senpai situation.
Well about the hospital cut, it is because Goro(aqua) is the pov character. Except for the more emotional moments, he is the pov of episode 1. That is why it ends with his narration. Also, he is considered missing, not dead.
@Eric Blanch Brines well, in Japan there are some people who run away overnight. Usually because of debt or black companies. Jouhatsu (Japanese: 蒸発, Hepburn: Jōhatsu, lit. "evaporation") or johatsu refers to the people in Japan who purposely vanish from their established lives without a trace.
bruh they're are just a bunch of fma brotherhood fanboys in myanimelist they just downvote any anime that CAN GO ABOVE THEM, me personally id rate oshi no ko above fmab and honestly attack on titan deserves the number 1 spot
Poor poor guy, as a manga reader I can assure you that the build up after the prologue is really good, it's obvious that it should start low and inconspicuous, but when there are the peak moments they are powerful, don't lose them, the internet is a spoiler minefield, if you wait too much you'll be spoiled starting next week.
Ai went on hiatus from bkomachi for months, it was only announced nearing the time she actually had to give birth so when she is finished from giving birth she can smoothly go back into idol stuff. it was stated, by the camera men in the scene where the babies were watching tv, that they were kinda unpopular for months. Im also pretty sure the videos goro were watching were recorded so yea
that cool and all but- manga spoilers btw read the manga first when ai knows she has an idol community why the hell would he smash a 15 year old and worse she gets pregnant
I knew about the plot of the first episode (though not entirely) and it still managed to subvert my expectations. Without drawing too much of a comparison between the two shows (really different MCs and stories overall), the last isekai able to hook me like this was Mushoku Tensei. And I'm not a big fan of the genre either. 2 great videos back to back, keep up the good work !
@@chosenuwu The show has some strong drawbacks like its MC being a shithead, still telling the story of an incel power fantasy and having some uncomfortable loli fan service. I was well aware of these while watching but the first 5 episodes really had me invested and from there I had to keep watching ! But as the story goes on, the drawbacks I outlined earlier tend to softly disappear because the MC grows a lot in a believable way. Also, the world building is great. Ultimately not for everyone and I don't know if I'd recommend it to anyone new to isekai (not saying that you are ^^). Oshi no ko, on the other hand, has the advantage to throw at you all the weird stuff in the first episode only (it's my guess based on the first 4 episodes) which makes it an easier reco.
@@TheLordGodiva I hear your praise for MT and after seeing it, yeah, it's exceptionally well-made and well-crafted. Engaging. However! Knowing the LN ending makes the whole thing sour and, imo, not worth getting invested in. And what's that? SPOILER He dies of old age, telling no one of his past or the truth of who he is. To me this makes the themes ring hollow, the pathos surface-level, and gives the whole thing a major groomer vibe.
@@TheLordGodiva I absolutely loved the world building in it, and the magic system D: I wish the MC was different, it'd be so much more enjoyable - I'm sad I'm usually just trashing on the MC and not focussing on the good. Isekai is one of my fav types of anime to watch and while I do admit Tensei was fucking amazing in some ways, it also saddened me in others
@@jackreacher7495 I didn't try to read the LN but I've seen some stuff about the steps of his evolution (in video theories and so on) and all I know is that he's led to become more and more OP. I hope it is made in a better way than other isekai less focused on character development.
And yeh also the fact that saitou (the strawberry studio production manager's wife?) Suddenly switched from a "ill reveal Ai's truth for sum cash and i don't actually love my husband" to an actually good natured caring parent after Ai's death, like why didn't they cover her development? She just came out like a completely different person after. This bugged me.
Because after the time skips, you don’t exactly see loads of her Also, she is the closest to the children other than Ai and she cared for them That whole sell the secret for cash was a rash heat of the moment thing that only happened one day
I haven’t seen the anime, but have read the manga. One thing that is very apparent is the quality of the artwork. Reading Spy x Family after a few chapters of Oshi no Ko felt so different. I’m glad the anime makes sure each frame is beautiful too, with just as much detail as each drawing in the manga has!
One thing i don't get is how people watch the first episode but end up having wrong expectations going forward. 90% of the first episode shows and talks about the negatives and real-world implications of the entertainment industry in Japan. And somehow people are surprised when it does into exactly that? The revenge plot line does get more involved but it isn't the crux of the series, its more like a plot throughway, some kind of goal or end point.
Really people do that? No wonder they're so excited, "surprised" and why they praise the show for bringing up the truth aboutthese jobs. Many people think that the deep talk about enterntainment is cool and I think so too, but I wasn't impressed. That's because I had a K-pop era (in which I learned about people's weird tendencies when they're fanatic) and my artistic era (literally went to a masterclass that explained the gigantic hoax espectacle is, given by a national celebrity in my homeland) and then it just kept confirming as I grew up. So while I appreciated the insight (I learned even more details about specific areas of enterntainment thanks to this), the sole fact was not really a hit to me. I also couldn't feel that much attachment or pity to Ai because her story wasn't new to me, I thought "Ah, another poor soul". Many people say they cried when she... y'know... I liked that turn of event, it was very interesting, but I didn't reeally connected to her. Though I'm really hooked into the revenge plot too because I know it'll give more insight and background about whatever Aqua's forced into while escalating to find the father.
@@splinchsplonch1243 Oshi no ko when focusing on the revenge plot is interesting but the problem is it treats it as a subplot. In the manga we get slow progressions to the revenge but most of the time it just feels like a slice of life. I sometimes feel like the author forgets what the main plot of the series is
@@bingchilling7094 right that’s why it’s not worth watching past episode 1 and I watch the first 2 so that’s really all I need unless it gets crazy at the end.
Subverting expectations in order to tell a thought provoking and interesting story is something that has long been done before everyone knew the catch phrase. This story does it very well. I feel like so many creators now fall into the trap of trying to subvert expectations just so they can subvert expectations, but can't tell you how it made their story any better. Because in those cases it didn't lol Came to this show knowing 0 about it, just because one of my fave react channel had it in their play list. Half way through just kept thinking "what the hell am I watching?" lol But all caught up to Ep5, and loving it, easily in my favorite anime list now. I'm definitely with those that got hooked, I'm enjoying the "main" story just as much as I did the prologue.
"Isekais are all just the same show with different costumes" - *shows Re:Zero as an example*. Bro regardless of being an isekai or not Re:Zero is a masterfully written story with amazing character development and world building and it will blow the anime community the fuck away once arc 6 gets animated.
Re Zero is definitely not your average issekai. It's all about tearing down the tropes of the genre with the MC realizing he's crowbarred himself - thoughtlessly - into a lonely journey surrounded by genuinely damaged people he won't ever be able to fully "get," nor they him. But the whole story is about becoming someone you can be proud of, even if it means resetting from zero - that includes the MC as well as the people he falls in line with, who not only have their own dimensions but do so while breaking down issekai archetypes. It's so worth a watch. It's so well-written. And season 3 is going to be one of the seasons of all time, without a doubt lol.
Man.. I am tired of RE ZERO FANS typing a whole passage to get their point across... like bro. Everyone got different taste. For him it's avg. for u it's a master piece. For someone else, it is sword art online. It's a simple concept that no fandom understands. U wanna get yr point across? Then make a youtube video lol

But seriously man, the fandom of FMAB is so disgusting and toxic that they rated Oshi no Ko, 1/10 in millions so that FMAB stays on top forever, I dont even have words for such gatekeeping
I would love to see your opinion on Dragon Quest The adventure of Dai. That manga is unknown in the west but in japan is one of the forefathers of the Shonen genre with Dragon Ball. So much so that is was called the Prince of Shonen manga back in the days. It got a 2020 anime remaster made by Toei animation and it’s pretty freaking good. Also LOVE your content please keep it up 👍🏾
definitely agree with almost every point you make. the main difference is just i love slice of life and comedy anime so it's my calling as a human to watch every episode
Trust me. This is how i felt for Kaguya Sama as well! Firet 3-4 episodes were okay, But right after the 4th episode shit gets you hooked up and things blow up! This is what i call the Aka Akasaka Effect.
@@whyyoumadbro2370 Wait you think number of chapters correlates with dragging on? Dragging on depends if he wastes time on chapters or arcs that don’t add anything new and just goes on without any direction. If you are even in Kaguya fandom, alot of criticisms came after it finished that it dragged on alot, ended in a cheesy way and if he had ended it in place where S3 ended, it would have been better. He could have also tried to end it so much better but he left it open on purpose as OnK isn’t as loved as Kaguya. This also correlates to volume sales, as it dropped significantly after volume 21. S3 was in Volume 15, so he added 10 volumes of nothing actually happening or changing. You could have enjoyed it but sales don’t agree with what you want. Now funny enough OnK exhibits a worse decline as the volume sales dropped significantly after volume 8. Which is funny when you think about it because most of OnK nominations were actually for everything from volume 1 to volume 7, after volume 7, it got zero nominations unlike many other mangas that did. It will rise ofcourse because of anime’s popularity but if Kaguya last year was any indication, I doubt it will help it in the long run.
Saying ur gonna drop it really hurt. But that’s fair, I felt the same way at the beginning. I think the first season’s worth is the slowest. I caught up to the manga, but it ain’t finished yet, so I feel like I’m in limbo
Yep, there r parts I dont like too, like the braindead decision of a doctor to follow a stalker into a forest, but the goods far out weights the bad. It s also fine to stop after 1 episode and treat it as a feature length movie. Imo that was also the intent of the author, given that ep 1 was the 1st whole volume, basically meant to be treated as a separate prologue. And u can always come back to watch the rest as a sequel movie if u want to.
Is it though? Braindead I mean? Two things: 1) The Doctor is obsessing over Ai and protecting her secret. If the stalker gets caught, he knows some crucial secrets ... he could easily devastate Ai in revenge. 2) Japan is generally one of the safest places on earth. Being murdered is not the first thing that comes to someones mind.
@@timgooding9464 Yeah I agree, not only does he live in Japan, the town was also quite rural, no? He was also an adult while the stalker was considerably younger! It was still definitely not that smart, but as someone also living in a safe country in a medium-sized city, I can certaintly relate to not really finding such a situation too dangerous, I probably would have been as careless
The thing we haven't even gotten to the good stuff. Yet. Just like how Ishigami didn't come in until episode 6, the same is going to be with Akane when she comes into the episode this week. Then it will REALLY be battle for best girl. But the thing that makes the series so great is that within the story of revenge is really will see the underbelly of the entertainment industry. Especially with the next two episodes that came from real life events. It also goes to show how Aka Akasaka has great range to do TWO series at ONCE. Drawing and writing Love is War and writing this series. Hell after Love is War manga was done he released ANOTHER series a week ago that he wrote called Love Agency. Another rom com. This guy is a content machine. Still you really are going to see what makes this series so great the next week week AND I get a new manga chapter on Wednesday.
i used to like this manga/anime so much not until the forbidden part of the manga appears. i kinda predicted it will happened but i didn't think that the author will really do it like wtf. akane still best girl btw
I agree that you should definitely wait till all the episodes have come out because MAN does this show get good after episode 7 or 8 I believe, I know it maybe shouldn't take that long, but this series is peak and I think that certain scenes will ONLY ever be good in manga format, I highly recommend you read the manga if you found the anime a bit slow because sometimes for the story to develop properly and not turn out ultra rushed then they gotta take it slow so I see how people can drop it because of that, trust me the Reality Dating Show arc and everything afterwards is peak
The show was good from the start. It never had a period where it was bad. Anyone who didn't like it after episode 1 had a complete misconception as to what the show is about.
I seriously enjoyed this anime. It's a unique aside from other isekai stuff. It has potrayed some cool things about our society. And I love the Episode 1 was literally a movie of almost 2 hours. It felt great it was the best starting of any anime I could ever experience. It executed perfectly. Its Plots and Motives everyone would be able to understand.
I don't think OnK is an isekai anime or manga, i mean no one is transfered to another world.. Isekai means another world right? Aqua and ruby is reincarnated to the same world they live in before. Reincarnated doesn't mean isekai right?
in my opinion the first episode was a masterpeice but afterwards it didnt feel the same. mainly because of how good the first episode was. The first episode was so good that the rest of the series didnt feel the same afterwards. Though i did feel that the 4th episode did draw be back in and make me want to continue watching the show more.
I strongly advise that you keep watching it as it releases. Getting it spoiled will take away a lot and there's a higher risk if you wait for it to release fully. I understand that compared to episode 1 episodes 2 and 3 were underwhelming, but episode 4 was great.
@@viktorzahariev2485 Don’t need someone else to tell me that it is understandable because it does + if you don’t care, you wouldn’t have replied + I didn’t answer any question though + I read the manga so that’s irrelevant
It's not fair that everyone started gossiping about this show being a murder mystery, as that was never the intention or goal that the manga tried to seed.
I seriously recommend you watch Re Zero, it's my fav anime of all time and not at all like other isekais. Also Subaru (the mc) has the best character development I've ever seen
bro he has no character development what do you mean bro... 😭 and thats coming from someone whos watched over 2000 animes and re zero is my favourite to the point i have posters of it all over my walls.. he has no development.
What i like about this anime is that you can relate and like character in a short period of time. Even the character with the least screentime can make you care about them. I almost cried when gorou died, and when akane wanted to commit suicide, and my heart was broken when ai died
Trust me in this. The show gets way better as it goes along, I’d say it gets even better than the first episode. Like rn we’re entering probably one of the best arc’s in the show. Definitely do watch it at some point even if that isn’t now, you won’t regret it!
true, right after ep 3, i just... kinda forgot about it. i got lazy and didnt find time to watch it.. until i did and man was i hooked on to their insert songs
If you're considering dropping the anime to read the manga, normally I would say to just read the manga, but for this show in particular, maybe you should actually wait until the season is over and watch, since, unlike a lot of other shows where "just read the manga' is actually good advice, the adaptation for this one is absolutely fantastic. But, If you can't wait until the next season for the anime to continue, then I will recommend to just read the manga.
Same, I actually was about to drop it in close to 60 mins of run time but decided to stick with and loved how the episode ended. With that ended my oshi no kno journey cuz I know won't like the dragging of it just to find one person.
it absolutely doesn't drag on. I say this as someone that does get bored of stories at it's climax on on it's way. As a manga reader, I recommend to keep on watching.
Edit: Spoiler Ahead Yea so good I read the manga which has filler but overall I love the information they give into the Japanese entertainment industry so much so that I don't really want Aqua to pursue revenge cause (small spoiler) the manga doesn't focus a whole lot into the revenge plot mostly character drama, backstory and how the industry works(my favourite part. Also Akane best girl. (another small spoiler) I find myself wanting Aqua to drop the revenge thing pretty early on because the story makes it fairly clear that he would probably lead a happier life without it (MAJOR SPOILER) and deep down he wants to drop it as well and he is doing this mostly out of guilt that he couldn't save Ai or do something to help. Anyway this has become a long rant and 1 fifth review so imma give the manga a score of 4/5. I can definately say after reading the manga that the anime would be better as the art isn't as good as the anime (by no means bad) the manga just don't got that same sparkle in the eye y'know. Edit: The plot convenience for the sake of progressing the plot is pretty bullshit. Like the very first ep when he chases the stalker for no good reason when he could just report it the authorities or warn Ai, etc. (small spoiler) this one is the one that really ruined it for me, at one point a little girl hinted to be the god of death or something hints to a certain someone that a corpse is somewhere and is never seen again, unless I am missing something I think that is pretty lazy writing like that character was purely written for plot progression with no reasonable explantion with why a GOD is here which in my opinion ruins the immersion. Anyway I still like the manga but taking this into consideration I'll give it a 7/10 (my original score if they remove this part or a higher score if they remove all plot conveniences like how Aqua came the the conclusion that his biological dad was the culprit -though they did hint that Ai called the papa- though I think he should have investigated more before he came to that conlcusion like it was summarised in the anime in a mere few minutes just like, "ok since only my papa knows he must be it ").
From my friend who got me to watch Oshi no ko and after I caught up on the manga, I feel like it's a common thing for people to want Aqua (and now Ruby aswell) to drop the revenge plot. Akane best girl
i think it was explained in the anime or aqua monologued about how noone knows where ai lives except for ai's manager and the manager's wife to not expose that ai had kids, and there's no reason for aqua to suspect them because they gain nothing from it. Aqua could investigate if there are more suspects but he can't really investigate because 1. aqua was a child when ai died 2. ai is secretive about her life before she had aqua and ruby and ai has no reason to tell them because they were children at the time so ai probably thought too young to know such behind the scene stuff 3. aqua was working at a small company (strawberry productions went downhill when ai died) so aqua probably didn't have a lot of connections 4. aqua/goro was the doctor of ai and ai or ai's manager told him that they didn't expect someone to know ai in the town the hospital ai is in and no one knows where ai is at the time except maybe the real dad of aqua and ruby so it's safe to assume that aqua's assumption is correct tldr: aqua didn't have a lot to work with aside from his assumption that his biological dad gave the stalker ai's location about the hospital and where ai is currently living since ai is not close to anyone but her manager, children and her lover.
A 16 year old idol getting pregnant, definitely not a sign of corruption in industry Although how she didn't die is beyond me but i didn't watch it so i wouldn't know
While the hyped premiere isn't a perfect episode, it is still one of the best first episodes out there. If anything, I guess props to the people behind the production for deciding to "probably" invest their cash and allowing this to happen (of course, with good marketing going on everywhere already). But hey screw that, the editing is simple yet nice. You've made great engagement grabbers lol.
That zombie idol show was awesome. First idol anime I’ve seen besides Perfect Blue if that counts. But foreal, trucks in Japan seem to be more of an issue than school shootings in the states. Actually, is Isakei the Japanese word for “Death by Truck, then Reincarnation”?
Manga reader here. Episode 1 is a prologue to a setup season. The entire 1st season is there to get you into the general groove of the world of Oshi no Ko, including the stuff that's about to happen in the remaining 2 episodes. The plot truly starts advancing forward after that, and I believe that season 2 will be much more interesting to anime-only fans because it develops everyone from the main cast quite well (except for MEM, but MEM is just MEM, she's there to balance the depressing tone with some light-hearted moments),
Honestly the most interesting stuff happens in the first 90 minutes (the prologue). Light Spoilers: The rest of the story is an extremely slow burn revenge mystery. And that's fine but the shojo-esque art style just wasn't my cup of tea.
The thing about this story is that the prologue is so good that when the actual story begins, it feels like a major downgrade even though it is good itself
Another reason why I don’t like the show is because how much it doesn’t make sense. One of the things you covered with how nobody questions a 3 year old talking as if they were a grown adult, but another point is how fake the characters feel. An example of this is when Ai get stabbed by her stalker, she isn’t scared to die but comforts the killer and her kids. Instead of making it semi realistic it made her into a character from a tragic romance movie. On top of that people keep saying it’s very informative about the idol industry, no. It really isn’t at all. Instead of covering actual negative aspects like exploitation from the idols managers it covers things that are much less serious. More of it being “insightful” that’s the first episode. After that it doesn’t cover any of the things that people really liked about it at first. All I had to say
It covers stuff like exploitation later on in the manga. And yes, Ai is pretty unrealistic which is normal for anime, though there are some stuff lying underneath that to show a pretty realistic take on it. I think it's because it was a bait so people get surprised. But honestly, reincarnation and them not being surprised on literal babies talking didn't clue you in on it not being 100% realistic? Not meant to be an insult btw.
@@whyyoumadbro2370 yes adults reincarnating is not realistic at all. 😂 To sum up what I was trying to say is the show doesn’t really take its self serious. Yes, the show is well made. Had a cool plot twist. But after that, like many others, I lost interest in the show.
@@whyyoumadbro2370 I think another reason on top of all that why I didn’t find it very touching or whatever is because how quickly they killed Ai off. Didn’t even give me time to get attacked really. (Yes I know she’s not the main point of the show)
At first I wasn't interested because it was just another idol anime, IT STILL IS. But, after the first episode and learning that this anime goes deep into entertainment industries got me into it.
The 2 shows Aka has made are in the Top10 MAL series ever and we couldn't be happier whit the adaptations. 4:35 Goddddddddemmmmm get out of my head!!!!!!
At this point I’m just gonna watch the anime and stay clear of everything that happens on the internet with this, because the fandom around this anime is… off putting.
I agree with this completely. I read the manga till about chapter 60, it becomes a series about idols/acting which is nice if you want to learn something about the entertainment industry. But it spends 1% of its time on the thing that got everyone hooked. It's a shame because I like the characters but the plot got old real fast for me.
@@OK-69420 The whole point in the manga is showing how the entertainment industry operates. Focusing just on the murder would make it like any other revenge story. The manga does get more involved with the murder mystery later. But still, why expect the main aspect of the series being the revenge when that was 5 minutes of the first episode. Never thought it was possible but apparently people can watch shows wrong.
just reread the manga yesterday, there was like 3 more wtf moments in regards to the murder mystery and the few latest chapters definitely brought back that feel.
to be fair it's more like a reincarnation rather than an isekai (isekai anime's are about getting teleported in a different world, in reincarnation it doesn't matter where you go after death
this show has a good premise, but just went downhill with the later episodes and descended into a generic slice of lice/ romcom, with its storyline and character development poorly delivered and executed. I couldn’t get pass ep 6 lol
Fair enough. But, maybe as a manga reader, I have to say the obvious: Of course, the plot is slow at the beginning, it's a series not a movie so it should have the long-building phase, where they introduced new characters, new plots etc. Also, the whole focus of the show is the entertainment industry, not Aqua. It's not even explicitly stated that we are really focusing on Aqua's revenge. If I can represent how the author's attention is towards the show, I'll give the dark side of the entertainment industry to be at least 80% of the show. The rest is the combination of Aqua's revenge and his life as an entertainer. I may be biased towards Akasaka but I like his writing where he is focusing on the main plot, not the "most popular" plot. Nobody denies that if he try to push Aqua's revenge as the main story then the story would be a masterpiece, where it becomes a typical shounen type of revenge thing. But, he done his research for years, even after the Kaguya-sama live action adaptation, he surely take everything that happens behind the scenes as his references. So, all in all, I still think the manga is good even though it does have it's own plotholes here and there, it's not a perfect show nonetheless. But, it does great in potraying the depressed side of the entertainment industry.

1. oshi no ko is not an isekai 2. there are other isekai with extremely well written protags (rezero for example) Also read instant bullet if you haven't already, it is way too underrated, which is probably due to its edginess and the fact that it asks you to take its edginess seriously

the problem with it being in anime form is that it just comes out too slow. we'll have 11 episodes, everyone will forget about it for like a year until the next season comes out, by which point half the viewers of the show will've disappeared. oshi no ko is a very hard manga to put down because every single chapter flows directly into the next one, and when you have a 1 week or more break between each 20 minute episode it just doesn't work as well. just reading all 116 chapters of oshi no ko back to back was one of the best experiences with manga i've ever had, and i don't think the anime will ever really be able to capture that, until its finished of course, or until the license expires and we have a Bunny Girl Senpai situation.

@Eric Blanch Brines well, in Japan there are some people who run away overnight. Usually because of debt or black companies.

2 great videos back to back, keep up the good work !
man i rly wish i could enjoy mushouko tensei ;(
@@chosenuwu The show has some strong drawbacks like its MC being a shithead, still telling the story of an incel power fantasy and having some uncomfortable loli fan service.

Subverting expectations in order to tell a thought provoking and interesting story is something that has long been done before everyone knew the catch phrase. This story does it very well.

Aka Akasaka the guy who dragged on and ruined Kaguya? Really?
@@jackjohn4156 how was it ruined? It's not even that big and it's already finished.

Especially with the next two episodes that came from real life events. It also goes to show how Aka Akasaka has great range to do TWO series at ONCE. Edit: Spoiler Ahead
Yea so good I read the manga which has filler but overall I love the information they give into the Japanese entertainment industry so much so that I don't really want Aqua to pursue revenge cause (small spoiler) the manga doesn't focus a whole lot into the revenge plot mostly character drama, backstory and how the industry works(my favourite part.

Aqua could investigate if there are more suspects but he can't really investigate because
1. aqua was a child when ai died
2. ai is secretive about her life before she had aqua and ruby and ai has no reason to tell them because they were children at the time so ai probably thought too young to know such behind the scene stuff
3. aqua was working at a small company (strawberry productions went downhill when ai died) so aqua probably didn't have a lot of connections
4. aqua/goro was the doctor of ai and ai or ai's manager told him that they didn't expect someone to know ai in the town the hospital ai is in and no one knows where ai is at the time except maybe the real dad of aqua and ruby
so it's safe to assume that aqua's assumption is correct
tldr:
aqua didn't have a lot to work with aside from his assumption that his biological dad gave the stalker ai's location about the hospital and where ai is currently living since ai is not close to anyone but her manager, children and her lover.

@@whyyoumadbro2370 You meant to dismiss any criticism. Like I said OnK fandom the worst new fandom
@@whyyoumadbro2370 yes adults reincarnating is not realistic at all. 😂
To sum up what I was trying to say is the show doesn’t really take its self serious.
Have you read Dandadan yet? I really recommend it as it's made by of the Chainsaw Man's author's assistant
ive heard of it from many big youtubers, havent read tho
the same guy who made Jigokuraku aka Hells Paradise
@@Squibbo0000 no it’s his other assistant. Yuji kaku’s works are Jigokuraku and Ayashimon

I'm telling u 97 percent of oshin no ko fans are true kaguya sama love is war fans
Which explains the overrating tbh

The 2 shows Aka has made are in the Top10 MAL series ever and we couldn't be happier whit the adaptations.

Goddddddddemmmmm get out of my head!!!!!!
Yeah I love how the fandom exposed themselves for fake accounts and bots recently. So goooooood
Did the other episodes really not hook you? I think that the plot hooked me even more.
Exactly, the characters, plot, and the art are really fucking amazing. I’m surprised how the other episodes didn’t hook him in.
@@hq3607agreed.
I think he got mistaken to think that the show will be some hype murder mystery show when it reality it’s mostly just a slice of life.
What this review tells me is that he has a really short attention span.
At this point I’m just gonna watch the anime and stay clear of everything that happens on the internet with this, because the fandom around this anime is… off putting.
true, I couldn't wait for each episode to come out so I read the manga in 3 days
I agree with this completely. I read the manga till about chapter 60, it becomes a series about idols/acting which is nice if you want to learn something about the entertainment industry. But it spends 1% of its time on the thing that got everyone hooked. It's a shame because I like the characters but the plot got old real fast for me.
Oh so that's why you said 1 percent lmao
What's the 1% thing that got everyone hooked?
@@ben99ny69the actual fucking murder mystery
@@OK-69420 The whole point in the manga is showing how the entertainment industry operates.
Focusing just on the murder would make it like any other revenge story.
The manga does get more involved with the murder mystery later. But still, why expect the main aspect of the series being the revenge when that was 5 minutes of the first episode.
Never thought it was possible but apparently people can watch shows wrong.
just reread the manga yesterday, there was like 3 more wtf moments in regards to the murder mystery and the few latest chapters definitely brought back that feel.
You got me on Kazuha with tom and jerry reference
Rare for an isekai not to turn into a harem hentai
to be fair it's more like a reincarnation rather than an isekai (isekai anime's are about getting teleported in a different world, in reincarnation it doesn't matter where you go after death
It's really not rare watch more isekais instead of looking like an bot saying everything thinks is true and a trope for isekais for no reason
never watched any of your videos but this is fire you got me more hooked the the anime itself xD
this show has a good premise, but just went downhill with the later episodes and descended into a generic slice of lice/ romcom, with its storyline and character development poorly delivered and executed.
I couldn’t get pass ep 6 lol
Fair enough. But, maybe as a manga reader, I have to say the obvious:
Of course, the plot is slow at the beginning, it's a series not a movie so it should have the long-building phase, where they introduced new characters, new plots etc.
One of the most overrated animes ever
brother, i completely agree with you, after watching that whole 90 minute disney movie, i was like, ight im done, and just didnt feel like watching the rest, NOT BC SOME1 IS 6 FT UNDER THE GROUND, ep 1 way jus way too good and set the bar way 2 high , other episodes arent feeling the same, and also revenge themed anime are so longg, i'd rather read the manga, make it fast pace, thats just me tho. Also u are funny asf
I never understood the hype behind this shit. I can't get into it at all.
I liked the first episode, it highlights loads of cool stuff, but after that the focus shifts and it becomes something else completely… idk imo it’s not a bad anime but I reckon they should have made the mc go on a villain arc
An overhype catastrophe over a brother making out with his sister.
Fr this is an underrated channel
It's def very good but not one of the greatest animes of all time lol
Yeah it’s just recency bias and hype taking over rn
@@bingchilling7094 yeah fr. people be talking like it's the best shit ever
Coming back after a year when they're already working on S3: I have issues with this show but animation is top tier
1. oshi no ko is not an isekai
2. there are other isekai with extremely well written protags (rezero for example)
Also read instant bullet if you haven't already, it is way too underrated, which is probably due to its edginess and the fact that it asks you to take its edginess seriously
I upvoted it to spite the full mental alchemist fansboys.

The first episode was definitely mind blowing and really good. But yeah the rest of it is...okay. It slowed down a lot and I just don't feel as attached to the other characters.
