A few points I will make. When Jesus said, if you don’t forgive your neighbors, their trespasses, he will not forgive you of your trespasses. He’s not necessarily talking about a person salvation. He’s talking about if a saved person is holding a grudge that’s going to prevent the person from being able to move forward and grow and fellowship and in a relationship with the Lord and savior Jesus Christ. It’s going to hold that saved person back and difficulty with being filled with the spirit and being touched by the spirit in terms of being able to serve the Lord in a certain position or capacity of service, it’s also going to stifle the person spiritual growth and it’s also may cause a person to lose his or her rewards in heaven. If we’re talking to an unsaved person, it will prevent that person from believing in placing his or her faith in Jesus Christ so when we look at it from this perspective, this is what Jesus meant when he said that if you do not forgive a person, his trespasses neither will your father in heaven, forgive you of your trespasses
