Make all Walgreens/CVS/Rite Aid employees have tasers, so that you can tase the shoplifters once they escape without paying, and then tape shoplifters legs and arms so that they would not escape.

I had a temporary part time job at at Walgreens over the summer. I just finished a couple days ago. Absolutely hated it the only thing that kept me from quitting was knowing I’d only be there for a month or so anyway.
Edit: Also, we weren’t allowed to confront thieves or shoplifters at all. This was my first job too, not a good first impression.

Yeah it's all about "we don't wanna get sued if you get hurt". Or so they CLAIM.
I think it's borderline insurance fraud.
Do NOTHING to protect your assets by lying and saying it's for employee safety so when insurance gives you a FAT check for x amount of theft you can pocket quite a bit then tell employees that the thieves are why they aren't getting a raise and tell customers you're raising the price because of shrinkage supposedly "harming" your profits. In the end theft only benefits the thief and the company and screws over the employees and consumers.
It's why they refuse to hire a security guard in stores that need it in rich neighborhoods. They don't want to scare off rich customers and lose the money they spend. It's like when you're driving through a neighborhood you've never been to and all of a sudden see bars on the windows and doors. Makes you wanna lock yours and speed tf outta there. People would be AMAZED at the shit that goes down in the neighborhood I work. People don't believe that not only do we get thieves, we get junkies trying to do drugs in the bathroom which is why we close it down overnight. We've even had people OD and die back there which is why we close it down. I've seen a drive by shooting (but they were shooting at another car driving by them at a stop light). We've had a guy who got his car stolen at the light where's we're at. Sex traffickers. Prostitutes having sex with customers in our parking lot. Drunk drivers galore. Homeless people (most suck but some are also not bothersome). And crackheads stealing makeup, nails, lashes, and teeth whitener as if that'll help them look pretty.

    • @chihirosen6996
      @chihirosen6996 7 месяцев назад +1

Coming across this 3 months later.
      How is it going?
      Pro tips:
When separating the tags I separate them by front aisles and back. Overnight ashier's at my store do front half and SFL do back half.
So in separating them they go in order normally BUT they also have what I call "bullshit sections" as in sections we don't have. Usually endstands and side panels or tables that simply don't exist in our store. Those get tossed.
You do monthly FIRST and weekly LAST when you have end of the month tags.
If you look on the cover sheet for whatever stack you're on there are numbers on the right beside the department.
      ie.
      Vitamins 220-301
      Cough/cold 302-357
      Allergy 358-370
      Pediatrics 371-410
      Pain relief 411-423
      Cough/cold (ccr) 412-419
      Etc...
Those numbers are on the bottom left of each tag in those departments. They are so you can keep track of where you're really at because sometimes you'll have those "bullshit stacks" in between the tags that ACTUALLY go up. Like in my example the last one that repeated "cough/cold (ccr)" is an example of a bs stack. They're duplicates. So if you were to try and put THOSE up you'd get confused. The real tags will have a correct B-S-P on it (Bay,Shelf,Position). Like in the normal tag you're supposed to put up for a certain Vitamin will be something like "B9-S5-P10" all the info on it is right. But in the Bs stack meant for an area that doesn't exist might say "B1-S2-P4" and you'll be like "wth? Why is it telling me to put this brain strong vitamin in a men's multivitamin section??".
      Hope this helps!

Yep walgreens says employee safety comes first. I wish we could taser people who steal especially if it's in a bad neighborhood. I mean shelves are always empty and the cops sometimes catch them but for the most part they come in like 4 times a week and steal and steal and now walgreens is open later which makes it even worse. Walgreens should close when the pharmacy closes to make it safe for all employees and customers or at least hire some ex cops and military people to protect their assets including employees and customers.
