I‘m Japanese and this is my favorite song of all time. I met this song when I was in Junior high. Since then, I started memorize lyrics of songs from Aerosmith. That's how I learned English! Thank you Aerosmith!
Many years ago I fell hard for the love of my life, we outgrew each other it was sad, I always blamed myself, so many fights over stupid things we just couldn't get anything right one night she walked away when I hear this song even today 2022 I get that lump in my throat, It was my fault, in 2019 I got a message from an old friend that she had passed away she had a heart attack when they cleaned out her belongings in her nightstand they found an old photo of her and I at the fair, it was taken so many years ago....this year will be the last time I come back to this song, it's just too much pain for me.
Paul, my guy. You are stronger than you think. Soon and I mean real soon you will look back and smile because you had someone you Loved in your life. Their are many beautiful women who are looking for someone like you. Every experience that hurts is a growth spurt provided you can move on which you can. 😊
Song gives me chills. I've been been suffering from severe pain and unable to walk and this song just keeps playing in my head. When you are at the end of life you think of all the women you have loved and all the heart ache.
My ideal way to spend my last moments of life is with my family listening to great music. Play me out Steven I'm ready. Sending you peace and rock and roll.
I was 32 and still remember hearing them for the first time when Dream On was rereleased in '76. A huge breath of fresh air from the disco s**t that was still in full go mode. Thankfully by that time FM radio had caught on and was playing album cuts from true rock bands.

a song for the broken hearted.. i was 15 in 1990 (got dumped by my high school gf ) when i first heard this, 44 in 2019 (recently divorced).. still broken hearted and this song is all what it takes to calm my heart forever
Sadly Aerosmith has retired. Five decades of music and countless concerts you know the band loved entertaining their fans as well as all rock fans. Steven Tyler was unable to recover from his vocal injury otherwise they would continue to rock your hearts out. Happy Retirement Aerosmith. Enjoy your time. 🙌🏼
I was born in the 60's great tunes and still listening. Lots of memories meet many girls in the 80'S and 90's. Best days ever. Back when things made sense. Still here July 2024
My dad loved this song and remember him telling me that's Joe Perry's daughter in the video...he died from Cirrhosis 7-7-2018... he taught me so much about music and about truly appreciating every instrument and step of the process. Now I try to do the same for my daughter and hope to still be around when the time comes for her to appreciate it. Xoxox...
Definitely written by someone who has had their heart broken. I can't think of another heartbreak song with better lyrics. "Tell me that your body doesn't miss my touch. Tell me that my loving didn't mean that much. Tell me you ain't dying when you're crying for me." Just perfectly sums up the pain of loss.

Aerosmith was my very first concert. I always loved their music but after seeing them live I became a super fan for life. They’re the real deal. Amazing vocals, musicians and song writers. Just iconic legends who have inspired so many people. 🔥❤️😍
Same! First concert ever. I think it was 1990 during the Pump tour. Always been a fan ever since. Joey Kramer was the reason I started playing drums-inspiring for an impressionable 12 yr old. My room was adorned with Aerosmith posters. Steve and Joe were-are-one of the coolest mofos to ever grace a stage!
My first concert too 1976 Philadelphia pa opened with The JAWS theme, broke into back in the saddle, Steve Tyler came flying over Joe Kramers drum kit in mid air , landed on stage below Kramers drums Screaming "I'm Baccccccc kkkk! I've never seen anything like it at a show ,he was like 12 ft in the Air ,I was 16 Jaws opening theme was goosebumps Rick derringer was with them what a show for 20$ life was Good 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
30 mf'ing yrs old this song is. OMG. I remember it like yesterday, always watching MTV waiting for this video. Damn, to be 16 years old again. Frick yeah.
I was a broken hearted bartender back when this song came out. I used to stock the jukebox with quarters and turn this up to full blast, over and over again... Singing and crying
Tell me how it is that you can sleep in the night without thinking you lost everything that was good in your life to the toss of the dice. That line has haunted me for many years.
Ik this song is about love between humans but I just lost a puppy and I'm so heartbroken that these are the only songs I wanna listen to right now even if they make be cry
Love is love no matter what, it still comes from the heart!! I'm very sorry for you're loss. I too am animal lover and still miss my little Angel and she's been gone for 2 years now, so I do feel your pain!!
It still applies, my friend. Losing a loved one is losing a loved one, whether they have two or four legs. Best wishes to you, and I'm very sorry for your loss.
When i dicovered this song and specially 'Pump' as record in early '90 it's was an after and before. Lot of feelings reminds me from my adolesence, love, frustation, disillution. Thanks Aerosmith to be part of my life.

Lyrics:
There goes my old girlfriend
There's another diamond ring
And all those late night promises
I guess they don't mean a thing
So baby, what's the story?
Did you find another man?
Is it easy to sleep in the bed that we made?
When you don't look back
I guess the feelings start to fade away
I used to feel your fire
But now it's cold inside
And you're back on the street
Like you didn't miss a beat, yeah!
Tell me what it takes to let you go
Tell me how the pain's supposed to go
Tell me how it is that you can sleep in the night
Without thinking you lost everything that was
Good in your life to the toss of the dice?
Tell me what it takes to let you go
Girl, before I met you
I was F-I-N-E, fine
But your love made me a prisoner
Yeah my heart's been doing time
You spent me up like money
Then you hung me out to dry
It was easy to keep
All your lies in disguise
'Cause you had me in deep
With the devil in your eyes
Tell me what it takes to let you go
Tell me how the pain's supposed to go
Tell me how it is that you can sleep in the night
Without thinking you lost everything that was
Good in your life to the toss of the dice?
Tell me what it takes to let you go
Guitar!
Tell me that you're happy that you're on your own
Tell me that it's better when you're all alone
Tell me that your body doesn't miss my touch
Tell me that my lovin' didn't mean that much
Tell me you ain't dyin' when you're cryin' for me
Tell me what it takes to let you go
Tell me how the pain's supposed to go
Tell me how it is that you can sleep in the night
Without thinking you lost everything that was
Good in your life to the toss of the dice?
Tell me who's to blame for thinkin' twice
No no no no no
'Cause I don't wanna burn in paradise
Let go, let go, let go
I don't wanna burn in paradise
Let it go, let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go, let it go

Tell me what it takes to let you go
Guitar
Tell me that you're happy, that you're on your own
Yeah yeah, yeah
Tell me that it's better when you're all alone
Tell me that your body doesn't miss my touch
Tell me that my lovin' didn't mean that much
Tell me you ain't dyin' when you're cryin' for me
Tell me what it takes to let you go
Tell me how the pain's supposed to go
Uh, tell me how it is that you can sleep
In the night
Without thinkin' you lost ev'rything that was good in your life to the toss of the dice?
Tell me who's to blame for thinkin' twice
No no no no
'Cause I don't wanna burn in paradise
Let go. Let go. Let go. I don't wanna burn in paradise
Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go
I don't wanna burn, I don't wanna burn
Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go
Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go

To all the boomers. You’re lucky that you have experienced this era of rock n roll music🙌🏽
I can read that and get both goose bumps and a little glimpse of my once broken heart. Absolutely perfection lyrically. Thank you for that.
One of my favorite aerosmith songs. What a master piece!
It’s even better live
Tyler's passion overshadows the great bass line.
Deep inside there's always somebody that we haven't let go regardless...
One of the most underrated songs ever
Best Aerosmith song ever!!!
Amazing vocal performance!!!
This song helped wit through soberity 28 years clean
His performances for Howard Stern’s birthday were awesome
Excellent live performer
My first concert too 1976 Philadelphia pa opened with The JAWS theme, broke into back in the saddle, Steve Tyler came flying over Joe Kramers drum kit in mid air , landed on stage below Kramers drums Screaming "I'm Baccccccc kkkk! I've never seen anything like it at a show ,he was like 12 ft in the Air ,I was 16 Jaws opening theme was goosebumps Rick derringer was with them what a show for 20$ life was Good 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
@@stewstew6259 keep on Rocking bro it's all about the Jam inspiration to just do something,it's all Good
I HAVE BEEN PLAYED THIS SONG A MILLION TIMES & I'M NEVER BORED WITH THIS SONG😻💘
This is an Aerosmith classic, one of their best
They have to know that they recorded one of the greatest rock and roll songs of all time here. Unbelievable!
30 mf'ing yrs old this song is. OMG. I remember it like yesterday, always watching MTV waiting for this video. Damn, to be 16 years old again. Frick yeah.
Best voice in Rock
Hands down the best 😊no one has ever hit notes like he does
Angel,Amazing,Crying,I don' t wanna miss a thing,Hole in my soul,dream on,and this...all of them great ballads
This song is a masterpiece!
An absolute masterpiece.. Aerosmith sang some of the greatest rock ballads ever.. this art is sadly lost now.
Thanks for the memories!!
Definite, couldn't agree more.
Amen 🙏
if u watch some of his recent concerts, he still sounds incredible for his age and hits most of the screams. idk what ur talking about
Bruce Fairbairn took this guys and this album to a timeless masterpice.... Pump is their best album...great song!
I was a broken hearted bartender back when this song came out. I used to stock the jukebox with quarters and turn this up to full blast, over and over again... Singing and crying
Most heart-wrenching song ever. Perfectly sums up my 'one that got away' :(
The best song aerosmith ever recorded
Been waiting a long time to seen theses guys in concert. When I get my chance. Covid fucks everything up.
"tell me who's to blame me for thinking twice, Cause I don't wanna burn in paradise" best line of the whole song
nothin puts me in a better mood then a aerosmith music video
Is anybody listening during quarantine? MASTERPIECE MUSIC
Je suis là
Damn Skippy
Fuck the covid ! We all going to get it sooner or later
no no one is
No. Only you
Little known fact : Steven Tyler has the power to command guitars to rock, just by yelling "Guitar!"
That profile pic haha
BEST PERFORMANCE BY STAPP BY FAAAAARR
Thinking literally about your comment made me laugh 🤣🤣🤣 he really does
one of my favorite parts of this era of music was steven tyler, bret micheals, vince neil shouting guitar before some of tastiest solos

Tell me how it is that you can sleep in the night without thinking you lost everything that was good in your life to the toss of the dice. That line has haunted me for many years.
Since 1979, have been a huge fan. Aerosmith great band, great sound, live in concert even better!
Just woke up and this song is in my head for some reason.
We’re very sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is a very emotional experience to go through
It still applies, my friend. Losing a loved one is losing a loved one, whether they have two or four legs. Best wishes to you, and I'm very sorry for your loss.
This has been my favourite song since the 90’s. Don’t see that ever changing 🙌
When they go to that F minor with the harmonies it’s my favorite part.
I think this is one of the songs they created after getting sober. An inspiration for me to turn a page and do the same.
My favorite Aerosmith song ❤️
Like how the older couple really enjoy the song really cool
Steven maravilhoso voz perfeita apaixonada por Aerosmith 😍
Sempre
Eu tbm!🌷

I think this is Aerosmith's best song ever too!
When i dicovered this song and specially 'Pump' as record in early '90 it's was an after and before. Lot of feelings reminds me from my adolesence, love, frustation, disillution. Thanks Aerosmith to be part of my life.
This is definitely one of the best songs by Aerosmith!
Probably my favorite!
+Dixie Woods it is a great song , and trully a great band
+Mark Adams Agreed! I used to feel this way about my ex. Had a hard time letting go. Music has helped me through a lot in my life. Aerosmith is one of the best bands ever I think.
thats why ive stayed single after me and my ex went our ways
+Mark Adams I can't blame ya there. Love is a bitch I know first hand. I haven't gave up on love tho. I moved on and met my guy that I've been with for over 4 years now. Love found me when I gave up on it.
I hope it's possible to find love again. I'm gone if it ain't.
