I think you should be using the “wheel of names” (that’s the name of the website) to be removing the lot traits. It’s a giant spinning wheel. Way more entertaining and goes more along with that game show music you use when you’re removing a lot trait lol. (I use it all the time in class with my students. They love it.)

Animals in the Sims only die from old age. Something about not traumatizing children playing the game. Looking at all the other weird ways to die in the Sims.

I agree 100%, but I also dread how the computer it going to handle wheelchairs and hallways. That's completely and sadly realistic to real life, many hallways in the real world are not built to properly handle a person in a wheelchair. But the Sims hallways also struggle to handle a large dog, so I think it will be a mess. I"m probably just scarred by playing Sims 2 in my youth, where two people meeting in a hallway could logjam all commands you'd given them. But I swear a large dog still does the same things now. My Sim was trapped in her bathroom, because her large dog was laying down in the bathroom between her and the door. I couldn't control the dog, and she couldn't walk across him.

"A toddler should not know the concept of death at this age" I object. My family thought the same when I was 3 and forgot to inform me that my grandfather had died; one day I walked into the room to see a crowd of people circling an open coffin with grandpa in it 😂
The sad part is I’ve only had triplets once in the entire time this game has been out. It was purely random when it happened too. I tried to have them again by using all the fertility options we have and my sim only had one baby.
I find that trying for a baby multiple times in a row before taking the test helps, as well as just waiting for the sim to realize it themselves instead of taking the pregnancy test
Meanwhile I don't think I ever had just one child 😅 I've had triplets a few times, but even if I don't have triplets I at the very least have twins, even without the fertility buffs.

I have been doing this challenge for generations too. I only changed the rules so that the trait is removed when the sim that was born in this house reaches its maximum career (i.e. spouses do not count). And children can only move out (and marry) after their careers have been maxed. I also delete one trait for each new generation. (If one sim has 5 children, it is still only one trait. Generations count, not the number of offspring.). I had played James rules before, but it was over too soon. When I play my way for a long time, I really feel relieved with every trait deleted and has a sense of satisfaction.
The reason why you could pick Tina's likes and dislikes is because you WERE married to her and lived with her for like 3 seconds before you sent her back to her real wife and kid. XD So she became a "played sim." Thus you can pick her stuff now XD

Sometimes it actually works better to use "put to bed" rather an "read to sleep", especially when your sim has low needs or the toddler is extremely tired. Reading to sleep takes a long time, and if either sim's needs get too low the interaction will fail. Reading to sleep has the benefit of building relationship and imagination skill, but you can get those up in other ways during the day, bedtime isn't always the best time. Read to sleep and put to bed are equally good for preventing nightmares. In some ways put to bed is better for nightmare prevention because it's more reliable.
The child feeling sad because he was hot was amusing because of how realistic it was. I can definitely see a kid doing that in real life, especially after choosing to go outside themselves in the first place. XD Wowee, this LP is so chaotic. I feel like each problem that is resolved just gets replaced by another one. >.
The Hero of StrangerVille reward trait might be the most stupid one. All you get as a 'thank you' is total crap like foul fish, rotten food, future cubes and lumps of clay. You'd think they aren't happy about the defeat of the mother plant :o
I'm currently using one of my OC Sims to ally with the Mother Plant. Personally, I think she is wonderful. XD Her fruit boosts all needs, and nobody has to worry about a thing! Plus, her plants are so pretty--and make the barren Strangerville landscape look exotic!
here's a tip: when a sim is pregnant, they always go into the next stage 24 hours after they got pregnant. so say she gets pregnant at 3 am on Tuesday. Wednesday she'll be second semester at 3 am. Thursday is 3rd semester. Friday at 3 am she should go into labor
James really wants triplets and does everything possible: doesn’t get triplets. My sim that one time she tried for a second baby with no reward or lot trait: TRIPLETS 🤦🏻♀️
There's an awesome mod by Little Miss Sam that makes birth certificates better. It adds new certificates for witch, mermaid and vampire babies and makes all birth certificates renameable, so you can put the kids name on it and whatever other info you want. I'll sometimes put a D.O.B. like 3rd day of Summer. In the 100 baby challenge I put the father's name in brackets to keep track of baby-daddies.
This LP is soooo good!! May I suggest for your next LP you look into the apocalypse challenge? I’ve watched a bunch of people try and it’s always a mess and nobody I’ve seen has ever been successful.
Part of the reason their needs get so bad is that you're using the toddler tablet. When they use the tablet, they get so absorbed in it that they forget their other needs. With any other toddler toy, they will stop when their needs get low so things don't get out of hand with everything in the red.
I tried this challenge in my game, the last two traits the random number generator picked for me were "simple living" and "off the grid". It's almost like it knew what I was doing.
When I have babies I get one of the display cases that you use in the bakery or cafe and make family lots of food every other day that way the toddlers can get food whenever they are hungry and the food last for quite a while.
You spent all your money to pay bills and you make your own power and water lol. Also at this point bunk beds will be your best friend just put toddler beds under the single bunks when the 1st set of twins age up.
Props to you! I don't know how you can play the sims as much as you do. I used to be obsessed but now I can't get past 30 mins without getting bored and I don't have no where near as much patience as you. I love watching your videos still after all these years. They're still entertaining and your sense of humour never fails to make me smile. Thank you for being you and putting up the the Sims quirks aka glitches along the way.
Once you get rid of all of the negative traits you can continue the challenge by adding a good trait each time you get a promotion/aspiration... it will be really interesting to see how much of a contrast you get in the gameplay in terms of comfort and chaos
It’s daylight savings time in some Australian states as of a few days ago, so our clocks went forward one hour. James used to upload at 11pm AEST and he still does, but it’s technically an hour earlier. 😊

They can increase their household fund every time they complete an aspiration but can only use skill items they own themselves. They cannot have a job or sell stuff out of their inventory.

Good luck with that. I have filled every neighborhood with females who were fertile in a house alone while I played a male who was fertile. I have done with and without ley line. I put 7 kids in every house. Tons of twins, but never once have I gotten triplets in all of the years I have been trying. Look on the bright side, they aren't blue...😆 🤣 😂 Also, I just saw Amanda's compilation of your Katrina clips...Too funny, and SO AWESOME!!
So I decided to do this challenge. Set up lot in the containers in Evergreen harbour. The smog is a killer. First guy died from burning himself to death ... Grim thought it was funny and laughed at his corpse. Moved in new guy, so naturally the first guy is haunting the lot. A repairman electrocuted himself to death ... ghost #2 is now here. Both headstones are sitting under a tree at the front of the lot. Awww. Have decided to add lot traits to the challenges that can be removed ... they're still there. My guy has now taken a liking to Guidri and they have a thing going on ... and now he's just asked him to be his boyfriend. Shall be interesting to see where this goes. At least he didn't get pregnant from being abducted by aliens ...
I have a legacy challenge and my sim has the evasive trait, so each time someone offer a new job I accept, and I earn money without working, bc after 3/4 days they offer again, so, I don't work the next day usually and use the vacations days and stay at home doing whatever I want. It's genius.
I love this series so much, you inspired me to do the same in my game. Of course now you upped the ante with double twins and trying to get triplets and I'm cursing you 😂
You should have picked Foxbury for physics to see if you could get into the distinguished degree. That increases starting level, pay and gets you a big starting bonus. Although, you might not want that if you want to get promoted easily. Another thing is the scientist career is a poor choice if you don't plan to go to work with her. It will be hard to get promoted. Even going, it seems the interactive careers don't get promotions as quickly as rabbit hole careers.

It's ok, chocolate stuff in the Sims is made from chocoberries which are safe for animals.

Same! I’ve only had triplets once since the game came out and it was at random. I’ve had twins quite a few times but they were also at random.
I got triplets as my first babies in the 100baby challenge with only the lailine... it was a pain 😂

I don't think so. In other videos of his, but in my own game as well, there are often pop-ups for random sims to whom we have no connection.

I put 7 kids in every house. Tons of twins, but never once have I gotten triplets in all of the years I have been trying.

So I decided to do this challenge. Set up lot in the containers in Evergreen harbour. The smog is a killer. First guy died from burning himself to death ... Grim thought it was funny and laughed at his corpse. Moved in new guy, so naturally the first guy is haunting the lot. A repairman electrocuted himself to death ... ghost #2 is now here. Both headstones are sitting under a tree at the front of the lot. Awww. Have decided to add lot traits to the challenges that can be removed ... they're still there. My guy has now taken a liking to Guidri and they have a thing going on ... and now he's just asked him to be his boyfriend. Shall be interesting to see where this goes. At least he didn't get pregnant from being abducted by aliens ...

I have a legacy challenge and my sim has the evasive trait, so each time someone offer a new job I accept, and I earn money without working, bc after 3/4 days they offer again, so, I don't work the next day usually and use the vacations days and stay at home doing whatever I want. It's genius.

You should have picked Foxbury for physics to see if you could get into the distinguished degree. That increases starting level, pay and gets you a big starting bonus. Although, you might not want that if you want to get promoted easily. Another thing is the scientist career is a poor choice if you don't plan to go to work with her. It will be hard to get promoted. Even going, it seems the interactive careers don't get promotions as quickly as rabbit hole careers.
you should definitely hire a caterer for food, they make so much you can just keep in the fridge!
