- Masoor Dal (Spiced Red Lentils) is extremely delicious and flavourful red lentil soup. A handful of ingredients and this easy masoor dal comes together in no more than 20 minutes. Then you add the tadka to make it more flavorful and colorful which you can skip if you want. Masoor dal is a must in an everyday menu in almost every Bengali house.

Ingredients-
1. red lentils 1 cup (200 grams)
2. oil 2 tbsp
3. whole cumin seeds 1 tsp
4. curry leaves 4-5 count
5. finely chopped onion 1 medium size
6. garlic-ginger paste 1 tsp
7. slitted green chilies 4 count
8. salt 1 heaped tsp
9. coriander powder 1/2 tsp
10. red chili powder 1/2 tsp
11. turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
12. chopped tomatoes 2 medium size
13. chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp
For Tadka-
1. oil/ghee 2 tbsp
2. chopped garlic 2 cloves
3. whole cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
4. dried red chilies 2 count
5. curry leaf 1 count
6. red chili powder 1/4 tsp

যারা ভিডিওর ভয়েস ওভার নিয়ে জানতে চাচ্ছেন বা কমেন্ট করছেন তাদের উদ্দেশ্যে বলছি যে এই বিষয়ে আমি বেশ কিছুদিন আগেই আমাদের ফেইসবুক গ্রুপ এবং ইউটিউব কমিউনিটিতে পোস্ট করেছিলাম, হয়তো অনেকেই দেখেননি তাই আমি আবার এখানে লিখে দিলাম।
স্পাইস বাংলার যারা নিয়মিত ভিউয়ার আছেন তারা নিশ্চই খেয়াল করেছেন যে গত প্রায় ২ মাস থেকেই আমরা ভিডিও নিয়মিত আপলোড করতে পারছি না। আসলে নিজেদের কাজের অনেক বেশি ব্যাস্ততা আর সবকিছু মিলিয়ে খুব বেশি সময় স্পাইস বাংলায় দিতে পারছি না, যার ফলে খুব বেশি রেসিপি শেয়ার করা হচ্ছেনা।
আর এই ভিডিও তৈরির পুরো প্রসেস এ একটা গুড এমাউন্ট অফ টাইম স্পেন্ড হয় আমার ভয়েসওভার করতে। আমরা দুজনই ব্যাস্ত থাকি বিশেষ করে বৃত্ত অনেক বেশি ব্যাস্ত থাকে আর এই পরিস্থিতিতে আমাদের জন্য ভয়েস সহ ভিডিও তৈরী করাটা অনেক বেশি সময়সাপেক্ষ হয়ে যাচ্ছে।
তাই আমরা সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি আপাতত কোনো প্রকার ভয়েস ছাড়াই ভিডিও আপলোড করতে, এতে করে আমরা আরো বেশি ভিডিও আপলোড পারবো আর সেই সাথে ভিডিওর সময়টাও কমিয়ে আনতে পারবো। তবে আমরা অবশ্যই সব ধরণের প্রয়োজনীয় ইনফরমেশন ভিডিওতে ইনক্লুড করবো।

Thanks for this recipe. It’s old, but I’ve made it so many times and it’s so delicious and comforting. I’d never heard of whisking cooked dal before, but it works really well. Just be patient and you’ll be rewarded with a smooth mixture that’s not completely broken down. It’s a great dish for when you don’t feel well and don’t have the energy to make a complicated meal, but you want something hot and comforting. It always makes me feel better, at least.

Ramadan Kareem! Super good recipes. This method makes the dal and spices blend together and a nice texture. Otherwise masoor the water stand strained. Even without extra tadka it gives great taste. Shukranth for sharing!

Tried this phenomenal recipe and it was a huge gigantic success alhamdulillah. 😊 Both I and husband relished half a bowl in one go. He showered me with compliments. 💛 I added 2 cups extra water to reduce the thickness a bit and I also swapped bay leaves for curry leaves. It came out amazing. Thanks love!
