Thanks Stephen!! Snakes don't bother me (unless I'm surprised by them) so I definitely understand and appreciate the need for your "warning." Yours looks very realistic and well done! It's scales, head shape and striking position are essentially perfect, though a snake of that (young) size would have far fewer segments in his rattle.
Yes, that is a rattle on its tail and its head very much looks like a Rattlesnake but its coloring looks (at least to me; though I've seen both in the wild, I am NOT an expert) more like that of a Copperhead Snake which are common to where I now live. Older Rattlers and Copperheads develop dark patches in addition to their lighter brown or copper coloring. Copperheads are also venomous, and they can shake their tails in dry leaves thus sounding like a Rattlesnake even without any rattles. Your snake pen holder truly delights me!
A coworker (in deep south Texas --- way back in the mid-70's) threw away a ceramic Diamond-back Rattlesnake ash tray because the cleanup crew refused to even enter his office. (Hint: be careful with yours in an office or home setting!!) Although I've never smoked, the coworker's cigarette ashes undoubtedly added a realistically dusty look to it's already excellent paint job! Mine has fake rubies for its eyes but lacks the expected "lashing" (air "tasting") forked tongue. I asked if I could have it, he readily agreed and I love it!!
Before I learned to be careful with it around people, a realtor selling my house nearly smashed it to smithereens before she realized it wasn't real. She almost refused to come back. I now either hide it or alert folks to its presence before they see it.

In Australia we have some of the most venomous snakes in the world. Taipans,Tiger snakes,Eastern browns drop for drop are at the top of the table. As a young boy growing up in an outer bush suburb, I have literally crossed paths with these dreadful,deadly,vile creatures. Absolutely the last thing I need on my writing desk, is an expensive brass representation of one - thank you.

Interesting product and looks to be well made that is for sure. The only worry I would have, would be regarding the pen getting scratched by using the stand.
Pens get used. Pens get scratched. Life's a contact sport. Relax + enjoy.
My only concern with these is the scales potentially scratching my pens.

Everything they sell is so useless and delightful -- I'm quite tempted to order it all ... Where else can you get an ouroboros ring, mantis cocktail toothpicks, *AND* a ridiculously-cool snake pen stand!?!!!

Don’t know who likes this sort of pen stand. One should prefer pleasant things on study table. Now don’t say Snakes are very pleasant.
What you got against reptiles!? 🦎🤔🐍... Also, one 'should prefer' whatever the hell one pleases; we don't all want to live arbitrarily-restricted lives like you do🙄
Good point about pleasant things. Yes, snakes are cool, but when I’m sitting late at night writing, I’m not sure I want to be resting my pen on something so realistic (lol).
