A major pattern change is expected in early January 2025. I will note... there is a LOT of uncertainty in exactly where the snowstorms will track, how much snow will fall, and exactly how cold temperatures and wind chills will be. I'll be here 24/7 to answer your questions and to bring clarity to this changing weather pattern so don't forget to LIKE 👍 & SUBSCRIBE to the channel for future updates!
During wintertime, cooler patterns can favor significant winter storms to the Midwest and Northeast. It's just when and where (timing and track the storms), the amounts, and how cold it will be for it to be a direct hit.
Thinking Virginia will see a lot of snow in early January....Wouldn't rule out Washington State as well depending on the direction of the cold air because the moisture is there for sure.
Good afternoon Hunter! Very interesting commentary & analysis of the various models for early January! Looking forward to seeing how it all works out, given the current variables.
Hey, Jeff. Yeah it’ll be a wait and see game right now. All of these variables haven’t reached land quite yet so weather balloons aren’t able to feed information into the models correctly yet. We should have more answers by early to mid-week.
Colder temperatures are on the way for early January. We just don't know exactly how cold temperatures and wind chills will be just yet. I'll keep you updated.
Some of these model runs are like never seen before, at least for me personally. This kind of pattern could mean the South gets more snow than Wisconsin for example, if things line up right. Nice update, Merry late Christmas and happy new year in advance
It's all a big puzzle. There's currently not much of a snowpack across a large chunk of the Midwest, Ohio Valley or Mid-Atlantic. I don't quite buy into the historic cold temperatures and wind chills just yet due to the lack of snowpack in those areas. In these types of patterns, there's a ton of energy flying around all over the place, so for energy to come together just right for a big East Coast snowstorm is below-average, but still possible. Happy New Year to you as well. Thank you!
The point is to pinpoint a storm system to let them know what scenarios they can expect over the next week or two. The point of a forecast is to help people prepare for future weather events.
"Potential" Storms are always worth mentioning, but the Cold sounds imminent. Thousands of Ice Fisher.....people🙄 are interested in this - for sure. But.....then again; it doesnt seem like itll stick around...for too long? All these Ups n Downs are....not so good, overall.
The cold weather should have staying power through at least mid-January, possibly into the 3rd week of January. But a warming trend is expected after this cold air departs.
Lmao anything beyond 5 to 7 days is worthless. I’ve seen many times these patterns well in advance and end up being nothing like it was supposed to be.
There are scenarios where storms beyond 5 to 7 days out has more confidence than a storm within the 5 to 7 day range. That’s happened several times before. But yes, we don’t know where the snowstorms will track or how much snow they will bring just yet, and just how many snowstorms there will be.
That major snowstorm is still in Japan. So a lot can change yet.. but if someone can pinpoint the exact location this far in advance deserves a Nobel Prize.
It'll be difficult to get snow that far south into Texas. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it will be difficult given the lack of snowpack in the Midwest and Ohio Valley. Meaning the cold air may not be nearly as cold as some of the models are showing this far out. I'll keep you updated.
The track of any snowstorm or the amount of snow is very uncertain right now. The first snowstorm may arrive late next weekend. But it’s uncertain where it will go and how much snow it will produce. I’ll keep you updated. Thanks for watching!
Hi hunter my name is Austin I just subscribed to your channel & do you think newark ohio will get a bunch of snow next month & I definitely won't be getting my inch or more of rain in a day anytime soon it's been 207 days & 6 months since I got it & the goal this winter is to get my 7 inches of snow with a winter storm it's been 3,239 days & 8 & a half years since I got it but is it okay if I can give you a special shout out in a video I've been watching alot of your forecast videos on my roku TV
A winter storm is possible sometime next weekend, and then another winter storm possibly into the 2nd week of January. We don't know where the snowstorms will be or exactly how much snow will fall with them. I'll keep you updated.
Will this Polar Vortex hit Miami, Florida also? Miami, Florida records is 35 Degrees going back in the 1880’s!! I heard central Florida could get up to 8” of Snow? I heard even Corpus Christi could get Snow even Huston, Texas?? The Whole Gulf of Mexico is going to get Snow is this Right?

You missed snow for des moines last 2 days
@@deowenjohannes6561 Snowfall wasn't significant in Des Moines. A few snow showers and very light accumulation was noted.
Hopefully we'll get snow in Tennessee. If it's cold, snow makes it better, visually
I'm in West Tennessee and I could kill for a big snow storm lol
Thinking Virginia will see a lot of snow in early January....Wouldn't rule out Washington State as well depending on the direction of the cold air because the moisture is there for sure.

Do you think North texas will see snow/
It’s possible. It’ll become more known later next weekend.
Hi what point in the next 2 weeks will we have a possible snow storm in eastern Ohio if it hits how much do you think 👍
I don’t know the track of any snowstorm or the snow amounts right now. That’ll become more known over the next few days. I’ll keep you updated.
I'm in very Southern Illinois and our weather has been a roller coaster! 57 today and apparently going to actually be winter by the weekend.
Colder temperatures are on the way for early January. We just don't know exactly how cold temperatures and wind chills will be just yet. I'll keep you updated.

Thank you for watching! Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.
I have stopped looking at winter models that are 7 days out. Info at best is 15% accurate, so why even bother...
The point is to pinpoint a storm system to let them know what scenarios they can expect over the next week or two. The point of a forecast is to help people prepare for future weather events.
Millsboro De. 65 degrees 😮😮😮
It's crazy to see the year ending around 80 degree temperature. I hope that next year won't be as hot
Goooooooooood afternoon, Hunter!
Good afternoon! Thanks for watching.

Good morning!
What’s the outlook for Michigan this weekend? Lot of snow?
"Potential" Storms are always worth mentioning, but the Cold sounds imminent.
Thousands of Ice Fisher.....people🙄 are interested in this - for sure.

I hope we get a bunch of snow in the Vincennes IN area!!!
There should be several chances for snow in January and February in the Vincennes, Indiana area. I’ll keep you updated.
Will the wind gusts be hazardous in Ohio tonight? I’m under a wind advisory
Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph will be possible, especially across Southern and Eastern Ohio from mid-afternoon through late this evening.
@ will the showers and storms be able to produce higher winds to 60 mph?
@@SevereStormFilmer It's possible. But that would be more isolated.
@ ok, thanks. Things are flaring up in southern Ohio, so I assume that’s headed north soon
Not here in eastern NC 😊
Do you still have you midwest/central U.S. channel?
My second channel is Weather On The Move covering all of North America and the entire United States.
That major snowstorm is still in Japan. So a lot can change yet.. but if someone can pinpoint the exact location this far in advance deserves a Nobel Prize.
The northern stream energy is east of Japan and over the open water of the North Pacific Ocean right now.
Is the January 10 snow storm dead now because all the models don't have it hitting the midatlantic anymore.
We don't even know where the first winter storm will track, much less the second one 😂
I heard 1/2 of the whole Polar Vortex is going to break off & head towards Florida is this True?
The Polar Vortex will bring bitterly cold temperatures to parts of the United States. The center of the Polar Vortex will not reach Florida, no.
Im here in North Texas, and man im pulling for this snow and siberian Air.
