My 2008 bmw x6 used transmission can’t be reprogrammed according to BMW service center says it keeps throwing back the Dme code which is why it can’t be programmed they are saying it’s not worth it but I know it can be done can this work for it and can I buy this tool to reset it
DId you change the VIN in the EGS before you do the EGS reset? I have similar issues where an other garage changed the DME and CAS in an E70 X5 but I get the same message but also that the vins don't match.
I’m having a similar issue I have A 2009 e70 n62 transmission was replaced I got the transmission and cas to match isn# but now I’m getting a ews dme fault it’s saying now that the dme and the cas do not match and now the vehicle just cranks and doesn’t start
Good morning brother, thank you for posting these informative videos. I have a question maybe you can help me with. I bought a 2013 BMW 550I F10 that does not drive at all. Seller told me that the car had a replaced transmission in it and after that it didn't drive. I am under the suspicion that the ISN from the donor vehicle was never erased after installing it into this car. Being that I do not have the donor vehicle, can this ISN be erased currently in the car to be programmed or encoded to it? I currently have an Autel Ultra and also have BMW ISTA with ESYS Plus 3.8 on an Enet cable. Can any of these be used to erase the ISN and or program it to the vehicle in question without having the donor vehicle? If so, can you let me know the steps on what I have to do in order to do so? this is my first European car in the garage so I am eager to learn.
@@jaymilli9483 thanks for your reply. Could you please guid me on which tools you've used? I have tge same problem on a 2007 x5 and my autel ms909 wont code the ews for some reason.

Great video! Thank you! Did you connect the IM608 directly to the OBD port? So there's no need for any other cables or anything else, just need the IM608 and you're good to go?
Yes only IM608 JBOX or J2534 device connected to the OBDII port. I strongly suggest everyone to have a VERY GOOD battery maintainer that has a flashing option which will keep it between 13V to 14V or you might corrupt EGS for good which will require another megatronic unit.
@@huyug1 thanks for replying and hope you can help me with this! Did the transmission change today and used the IM608 with j2534 device to reset the EGS/ISN. all went well and car is driving fine, however, after test driving the vehicle, decided to scan the car and make sure everything is ok. At that point had a transmission fault code come up, 421326 permanent (SysFunktion: control unit newly programmed and not yet coded OR control unit is working with default net coding data) Seems like it needs coding even though car is driving fine. What exactly needs to be done in order to resolve this? Greatly appreciate your help and advice!
@@aabidmolvi5097 you would need to code the EGS unit. If you have Autel im608 and bmw OBDII adapter, if very easy to code it. You can watch my video for BMW F10 headlight coding, it’s basically the same except OBDII connection since Ultra doesn’t need BMW adapter.
Hello Dynamic Auto Works -- we have a 2012 BMW X5 (8hp trans) , and the valve body was swapped for the wrong one. Now, even with the old valve body in the car - which should still be coded to the EGS ; it will not come out of park. Any suggestions? Do you think we need to perform a full EGS reset even with the old valve body back in transmission?
We hace 2013 bmw x1 swap tranny and this all this step still having problems So went and installed the original TCM now car will engage in drive but not in reverse
Any specific codes after swapping tranny and before doing the ISN reset? I have swapped a 6HP21 and I cannot shift from P and I have 2 codes. Wanted to make sure these codes are because of the ISN needing reset.
Hi, can i ask a question please. what's the procedure to replace a faulty DME on a F series BMW please. thank you in advance. By the way i love your videos, excellent details explanation.
It will depend on the type of DME. It’s usually Bosch. Transferring EEPROM file and PFlash file will do it. If part numbers on DME are identical transferring only VIN and ISN number is good enough as well.
@Dynamic Auto Works cool. Do we mean transferring those onto FEM or onto DME. I thought we just need the ISN from new DME and write it onto FEM/BDC module. And do the ECU renew and write eeprom data onto DME.

Will i be able to transfer these over to the donor DME. Worse scenario if i can't read EEprom files from damage DME. can i just install a used DME, same part number and just do the programming and coding.
