In its day, this was the professional line, just below the MLX and BLX (forerunner of the Masters series), and the DLX/DX series itself is the forerunner of the Session line of drums. Guys from Drumcenter cz made a mistake here - DLX shells were 7-ply: 1 inner ply birch, 5 alternating plies of mahogany and lamin wood and 1 outer ply birch, while the 100% birch drums were called BLX.
