I think you should get ‘Joy of Sailing’ as well as a wind mod to truly embrace the ocean lifestyle.
And primitive survival of he doesn't have it already- i love using their fish baskets!
Ah yes, Vintage Story: Wind Waker
One command to add to the challenge is "/worldconfigcreate bool windAffectedEntityMovement true", basically the wind is able to push you and animals around, and if there's too much wind it makes it almost impossible to walk.
I think a great callback to the bear pit would be to tame a bear, which is where the Panzerbjørn Story mod comes in.
Yeah so long as it’s not a black bear. That mod has some problems with black bears. I tried taming one and it tamed but it disappeared and I tried another one and it disappeared too. Like poof out of the game.
@@ParallelPenguins I normally tame brown bears, which are my favorite.
You can hit stone blocks containing flint just with your bare hands. You dont break the rock, but you get flint. Also check the hunter's bag. It might be the best way to get storage.

killing hunters are very usefuill because
1. they can drop the bow
2. they can drop hide(good for clothes, and storage)
3. they DO drop meat!!!
download Entities config to reduse mob spawns.
the reason your seeing so many mobs is because there is so little land for them to spawn that the number are just exploding and with this mod you can controll all mob spawns.

Let's see what to add here:
Flint - you saw a bunch of flint and didn't notice. Someone probably mentioned it. Those gray circles on sandstones are flint rocks you can break with your hands. They'll pop off the rock just fine.
Water World - ... Well, you were a bit too eager there, even with mods. Next big update should have extra forms of transport officially, so that would help a LOT. And well... Hope you at LEAST got an extra bags mod somewhere. And focus on making hunter bags if you got no bag mods.

Meteors are part of the vanilla game as the source of meteoric iron, I'm not sure if the visual is in the base game, but following the trails can lead you to meteoric iron which is a good iron age material. But that is post bronze anvil.

I am a huge fan of water worlds. The mundane becomes arcane. Every piece of land one discovers is treasured and contains unlimited possibilities, instead of just being more of the same old.

I play like this with the Fauna of the stone age and outlaws mods, I also use a mod that changed your spawn point to the last bed you slept in like minecraft which might be good for a series like this

Your ore setup being lower was likely a HUGE mistake considering rock strata’s mechanics.

you probably shouldnt have lowered ore spawns, you got really lucky on your first world and you're gonna struggle to prospect with all the water...

Huh, so you ARE a masochist, I had my suspicions... It's like you saw all the challenge videos out there and combined them all into one fine hellscape.
What you have here is your typical PEBCAK issue, you can fix this by getting rid of your ID10T. That should clear it all up! ;D
You can, as is mentioned in the comments, dig flint out of rock blocks by hand.
You can also make 6 packed dirt with 6 blocks of regular dirt and it won't tumble like soil, gravel and sand.
You can make hunters backpacks, but you need reeds. You use a hide an d fat to make a pelt and then surround that with a triple layer of reeds. Has 4 slots for a maximum of 16 with 4 bags. 10 reeds gets you a hand basket with 3 slots. I guess it depends on how easily you find reeds.

There are drifters, but the spinning gear is not visible. What world is that?
There are a lot of options to customize your world on creation.
The gear is related to the option "temporal stability", which seems to be deactivated.
Drifter spawns are another option, just as an example, you could deactivate "temporal rifts" such that no drifters at all spawn at the surface (even at night) only in caves (where they spawn without rift)
would you mind doing time lapses instead of edits. i just think it adds to the immersion of watching the gameplay

I forgot to document the settings when I created the world, I will definitely trial and error to figure what i might have done

fyi bunny hopping does not make you magically go faster like in other games. for me its to annoying to watch with all that jumping. well hopely you can break the habit before you develop repeated movement injury or carpool tunnel syndrome.
beyond that the videos where well edited and good. Hopely your time gaming keeps going.
