    • @shus369
      @shus369  4 года назад +1

      Yes. If your clear coat is really bad and is peeling then you could go with 1000 grid .

    • @kilokilo7347
      @kilokilo7347 4 года назад

      shus Garage thanks mine wasn’t that bad where it was peeling. I used 1,500 and it came out pretty good. Only thing was I may have over sprayed too much clear coat as I have tiny bubbles on my trunk. I can probably buff it out but anyways it still much better than before as it was really fading in some areas.

    • @shus369
      @shus369  4 года назад +1

      @@kilokilo7347 if you spray more clear than you wanted to and it looks ok. Wait a few days and you can color sand it. Meaning you can wet sand it again with 1500 but not all the way. Then you can bring back the shine with rubbing compound 👍 you might like it better.

    So after you wet sanded it what happened to all the scratches it left behind does the clear coat just cover them all up? Because I did this with my carbon trunk and tweaked after because I saw all the scratches then I had my buddy buff the scratches out becuse I thought if I sprayed the clear over them they would stay there

    • @shus369
      @shus369  5 лет назад

      You should be wet sanding with 1000grid or 1500grid. You should not be able to see the scratches after you spray the clear.

    • @shus369
      @shus369  4 года назад +2

      It's called a chemical reaction. Try cleaning the surface with dish soap and after you dry wipe it down with a tack rag from autozone or oraileys. Then you should be good👍. Usually happens because the surface is not completely clean.

    • @shus369
