And how many gallons does it take to fill up the bin completely? How much energy (electricity cost) does it use in a month? What was the installation like for these machines? For example, the COOLLIFE Ice Maker? Do you need a water filter in line? Is there maintenance required.. for example, how often do you have to clean it? How do you select the water supply (i.e. top bottle or water line)?
I have a Hoshizaki KM-201BAH that I want to sell because it's too small. I have a hot dog trailer and I need a machine that has a bin that can hold at least a 300 pounds. I'm looking at a Hoshizaki KM-350MAJ. Any thoughts on this? I hear Hoshizaki uses stainless steel internal parts and my current machine never had a problem. How are Fosters and Manitowoc brands compared to Hoshizaki?
We are fans of both Hoshizaki and Manitowoc. This style of Hoshizaki you are referencing is much more intensive when it comes to servicing and maintenancing. It is true the Hoshizaki is a stainless steel evaporator, but in this case there aren't any style of commercial ice makers that are self contained like the KM-201BAH that will store 300lbs of ice in the bin. This Hoshizaki I believe only stores about 80lbs. In this case, I would recommend the Koolaire KYF-025A, it will store about 130lbs. of ice. Koolaire ice machines are made by Manitowoc and are really good quality machines. www.kool-aire.com/asset/?id=vwonb®ions=us&prefLang=en-US
@@tripointref I need a storage bin that makes and holds over 130 pounds a day. I use close to 300 everyday to cool my drinks and food, and with summer approaching, it'll melt quicker.
@@tripointref Is this a good machine that has the same quality as a Hoshizaki? This amount ice would be perfect. I don't mind buying a machine and a separate bin for more storage. My biggest concern is long lasting and quality. Koolaire KDT0300A/K400 330 lb Full Cube Ice Machine w/ Bin - 365 lb Storage, Air Cooled, 115v
Great video! Straight to the point.
